Do you watch any of the following programs?
- The Big Bang Theory
- Two and a Half Men
- Mike & Molly
- Dharma & Greg
- Grace Under Fire
These are all Chuck Lorre Productions that present something called Chuck Lorre Vanity Cards at the end of every show. Many people ignore them, thinking they are disclaimers. They flash so quickly that you need to pause it in order to read them. Kristie and I watch Two and Half men and Mike & Molly. We get ready at the end of each show to pause the action and read the latest Vanity Card.
This was Card # 408 which aired Valentines Day, Feb 14, 2013, just as it appeared at the end of the show:CHUCK LORRE PRODUCTIONS, #408
She had a fierce intelligence in her eyes which was not apparent in her behavior or speech. When you looked into those sparkling, bluish-grey orbs, you couldn't help get the impression that she had something clever to say. She did not.
And when she favored you with a smile, you got the reassuring feeling that she understood. She didn't. Not a clue. It was only much later you realized that her wry, knowing grin was something she unconsciously did when she was suppressing gas.
Oh, and her touch. The way she held your arm, or delicately draped a hand on your shoulder. That simple gesture made you feel loved, made you feel as if the two of you were connected on the most intimate level. Well, turns out, that was just her way of keeping her balance while wearing six inch stiletto heels.
And the worst part was you didn't care. The illusion was good enough. As long as she didn't talk, fart or fall on her ass, you were a happy man.
Omg Michael....this is just too funny.....I never have noticed this at the end of those shows.....now I will have to be sure to take notice.
I'm still laughing at this....and so is hubby!!!!
And the worst part was you didn't care. The illusion was good enough. As long as she didn't talk, fart or fall on her ass, you were a happy man.
That was hilarious Michael!! No..I don't watch any of those shows...Bob usually has control of what's on the tube and I am usually on the computer here.
Kristie and I end up laughing our butts off on some of them. That one above is one of my favorites so far. I wanted to read more, but his web site is messed up. No matter what number I choose, I still get the same one. I did manage to find another we thought was funny:CHUCK LORRE PRODUCTIONS, #290

Yesterday was day one of having all three shows in production. Well before lunch came I knew with a terrible certainty that I was screwed. Producing three sitcoms at the same time is an impossibility. It is my hope that I can keep this information from CBS for as long as possible. Once they start panicking there will be an inevitable domino effect of fear, confusion and regrettable decisions. Emergency meetings will be held. Ideas to "fix the shows" will be bandied about. Perhaps it's time for the characters on The Big Bang Theory to use their knowledge of science to solve crime? What if on Two and a Half Men, Charlie and Alan went into business together? Maybe opened an upscale restaurant with a funny chef and sassy waiters. Even better, what if it was all filmed like a documentary so they spoke directly into the camera? Wouldn't this be a good time to get rid of Charlie's bowling shirts and shorts? For sweeps, what about a heart-warming story where Alan struggles with a secret learning disorder? And Jake... what if we learn Jake is gay? GLAAD award! And hey, as long as we're alt-lifestyling, how about if the characters on Mike & Molly break into song in each episode? Just spitballin' here, but who else is visualizing a big production number of Queen's "Fat Bottomed Girls" with thirty or forty chubby dancers? Ooh, even better, Elvis' "Hunka Hunka Burnin' Love"?

So far so good. No one suspects a thing.
The one above makes a lot more sense if you're familiar with the shows.
I think I would have to watch the shows to get all of the justs of it...sounds pretty funny though.. Is Charlie Sheen stil on the 2 and a half men!? I thought the show was cancelled or he was booted off of it or something.
Nope, they killed him off. He was already the highest paid actor on TV and he wanted more. He threatened to walk off. They said no. He walked off. They killed him off and brought in Ashton Kutcher to take his place. Gotta tell ya, I like the show a lot better with Ashton!
Oh I can believe that! I would like him much better than Charlie Sheen because every time I would see Charlie Sheen I'd wonder how drugged up he was!!!!!!! He wasted so much of his life and I am assuming he is still on the drugs. The last itme I saw him he looked like a walking corpse!! Such a sad sad thing to happen to him and his Dad tried so hard to get him to clean up! Speaking of Ashton..I think he and Demi Moore broke up too! At least I remember seeing that!
Being a computer nerd,I like Big Bang Theroy.
We used to watch Two and a Half Men. And I used to watch Dharma and Greg. Haven't seen either for a while. But when I worked in Seattle on the waterfront I worked with a gal who reminded you exactly of a brown headed Dharma. It was uncanny. Same personality, looks, height, slimness. actions. I brought this up to my manager, and she laughed and wholeheartedly agreed that she was a brown headed Dharma! Her hair was even same length, just different color. She was fun to work with.
Yep, Ashton and Demi brook up a couple of years ago I think it was. Big surprise there! She's old enough to be his mother (well, almost) and he's a real good lookin kid! I never did think that would last. The ironic thing is who he is dating now. Ever watch That 70's Show? His girlfriend in the show, Jackie (Mila Kunis) is now his real life girlfriend. haha
Demi Nov 1962
Ashton Feb 1978
Mila Aug 1983
Ancil, I tried watching that show, Big Bang Theory, but I can't handle 30 minutes of Jim Parson. I don't care if someone is gay, but those who act like they are special or just too effiminate (commonly referred to as flamers), really ... REALLY bug me.
I like Johnny Galecki, and watched the show because of him. But watching Jim in that show was just too much to take. Maybe it's because he reminds me too much of someone who used to work for me. He just wanted so much attention!
Sherry, I used to watch Dharma and Greg. I was like Greg. Stuffed shirt, always wore a suit, etc. I met a Dharma type character who taught me how to open up ... like what happened on the show. I could relate! Dharma had a real cuteness about her ... even if she was tall! haha I like 'em short. (Kristie is 5'4, just right) haha
Yes, Dharma did have a real cuteness about her, a good heart, a sweetheart. Gregg's parents were something else too. I think they just put the whole cast of characters together really well. It made you laugh.
Actually, my all time favorite series has always been Northern Exposure. Still is even though they're not showing it now. I don't think they ever pur together a better series, ever. It had everything that applies to life in it's episodes. I didn't know for quite some time after I was watching it, that it actually wasn't filmed in Alaska! It was filmed in Rosalyn, WA.
Can't really call Northern Exposure a series. It might have a story that carried over. My daughter got to meet Elaine Miles up in WA state- the Indian gal who made herself at home to being Dr. Fleischmann's-who was completely out of his element in the small Alaska town- secretary in the show. She sent me a paper with her signature. I always said I would love to live in a town like that with those people, and that countryside. My daughter said you can rent the first to last season dvd's at the library. I did watch them again a while back, and they never get boring.
Ashton with Mila, (she was a cutie in that show and has grown to be a beautiful young woman).....no surprise there....I think they make a cute couple.
Loved Two 1/2 Men back when it first started.....I thought how are they going to replace Charlie.....it took a couple of episodes for me to latch on to Ashton....and now I think he was the right pick for the show.....but I am surprised how much this show gets by with at family hour!!! I would like to know if it's true about Walden....come on gals.....wouldn't you????? His character is like he was in the 70's show....a little dense!!!
Loved Dharma and Greg.....great show!!! She appeared on Two 1/2 Men in a couple of episodes and plays the dorky part quite well.....great actress!!!
I am not a Big Bang Theory fan, although Hubby gets a kick out of it....not so much the new shows as the older ones. The ones I have watched with him, they are kind of funny though! I think something else comes on at the same time so I choose the other.
Is anyone into Modern Family.....I have never watched it, but it does sure have the ratings......co-workers seem to love that show. About the only other comedy show I watched was "The Office", but it went downhill the last couple of years....too bad.....it was really a funny show when it first came out.
I am more for the drama type shows on TV.....I love "Smash" and so glad it has started up again. I am a Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice fan...but my favorite is "Parenthood"......I love that show. So many of my shows have come and gone.....after so many seasons, there just aren't anymore stories to come up with....so when they took them off, I was really upset because I couldn't find anything I liked to replace them with.......
Which brings me back to "The Following"......great series....but how long will this last.....I mean once they kill off all the followers...then what???? I haven't heard if this is for just one season or not....I think they said they have 15 episodes this first season.....so I'm hoping it will continue. I got so hooked on "24" until the last couple of seasons I got bored with it......but I don't think "The Following" will become boring....oh the stories this series could come up with....and true life ones at that...lol.
True life as in some of the Obama followers being like the adoring cult fans on The following? I can see that now for sure!
It's reality, but anyone ever watch Scared Straight? Some places the kids are sent to look far rougher than others, but it's really good to see at the end how so many at risk kids are turning their life around after having been through these programs.
Well, another I don't know why I watch sometimes-we're watching The Batchelor tonight. Sometimes it just seems like they are getting a bunch of giddy young people for the Batchelor and Batchelorette shows, and of course it seems like they always have to have their token nutcase. Survivor I like, and my husband really likes Amazing Race. Sometimes I watch that with him, sometimes not.
I never got into reality shows. We watch pretty much anything with Gordon Ramsey. Hell's Kitchen is my favorite. I started off hating it because of all the bleeping, but Kristie and son Nick liked it so much that I had to give it another try. I've liked it ever since that 3rd season.
We like comedies and movies as well as a few sci fi things like Face Off. Kristie is really into shows like Hart of Dixie, White Collar, Suits, Necessary Roughness. I like Arrow, the Americans, Justified. Then we have our premium channel shows, like Nurse Jackie, Banshee, Strike Back, Game of Thrones, Homeland.
These are just a few of the things we watch every week. Being disabled means LOTS of TV! haha It's on just about 24/7. If nothing is on any of the 800 plus channels, then we hit the 220 items on the DVR. If nothing there sounds good, it's either our DVD movie collection or the Red Box down the street, or Netflix.
Right now I'm watching The Following. Maui, you got to watch it sooner than Sat! haha
Hells Kitchen is a fav at our house too. Just about any of them to do with food, ends up being watched at our house! My husbands favorites. The one with Ramsey and the other guy when they go into restaurants and figure out why they're losing money and help them turn it around, get it redecorated for them too. I like the one where they put hidden cameras inside the restaurant and watch what is going on with their staff when the boss is not around. Sometimes ones end up getting fired, but they find out who is doing their job and who isn't, if anyone is stealing, what's crippling their business, and things turn around real quick. You'd be amazed sometimes at the way staff does and talks in front of customers.
I guess I am one that really likes the reality shows! Or I like suspense shows...like Homeland...I think there is one more season of it left yet but I don't know for sure..that one was really good!! Then the other one I can't think of the name of it now..I just did "Breaking Bad" now that was a super good show about the Chemistry teacher and his student that went into the Meth making business and how his wife ended up becoming a part of it too when she was against him from the start once she found out what he was doing. His brother-in-law was a DEA officer..kind of an all in the family show..LOL..his Brother-in-Law was trying to catch him and couldn't because when they got together he would tell him every step they were taking to try and catch the guy so he was always at least one step ahead of them! Total suspense!!
The last show of the season that they had...if I remember correctly the guy quit making meth and had gotten away with the whole thing after making millions or so he thought he had gotten away with it.......He had kept some kind of a diary or some kind of info that implicated him in this meth scam in his bathroom..his brother-in-law and his wife were over for a get together for the week-end and he went to use the bathroom and is sitting there and looks around for something to read and grabs this diary!!!!!!!! He starts reading it and everything clicks!!! He has this look of "Oh Sh*t!" on his face and that is where the series ended!!
Kristie liked that show Carol. She only saw season 1, but I didn't pay much attention to it cause I don't like shows that promote drugs. After reading your synopsis of the show and then talking with Kristie, I think I'll give it a chance. Kristie found out we can see all the shows on Netflix. I think we are about to have a Breaking Bad marathon. haha But, before I get into the series, is it coming back or did they leave it at the bathroom scene? I hate starting a series that has no ending!
I mentioned to Kristie what you said about him stopping the meth making. She said no he didn't. I said alrighty then! You haven't seen as many as Carol so I'll stop there. hahaha
I have several Netflix series to watch....Breaking Bad is one....has anyone started to watch the Game of Cards series on Netflix? I may try taking in that one.....can't wait for Saturday to watch "The Following" from this week.....shush now....don't tell me what has happened!!!
can't wait for Saturday to watch "The Following" from this week.....shush now....don't tell me what has happened!!!
OH COME ON!!!!! Saturday is a whole week away! I can't tell you that he shot ........ and then the ...... climbed out the ..... and .......???
I know, I know Michael.....it's tough....but at our age....changing our routine would keep us from knowing what day of the week it is.....besides.....we follow up with a movie.....that way we are only talking a little over 3 hours.....two movies is hard to keep awake for.....lol.
We taped The Following, because we watched The Batchelor, which we had taped. We will watch The Following tomorrow night. Tonight we watch Batchelor, regular time. So no Michael! You can't say -- that he shot ........ and then the ...... climbed out the ..... and .......???
LOL..Yes Michael..he had stopped and nobody was caught and he had gotten by with all of it except for the bathroom scene..and that is where it ended...I THINK there is another series coming yet though!!
Here is a link to it...so I think it has one more season to go!! You will really get into it Michael and you won't believe some of the crap that goes down..but then maybe you will..LOL
And another one:
All I can say Michael is at the last show we saw his partner was going to give it all up so he had nobody to do business with and if I remember correctly...that was when there was talk on his part of quitting it all together..it's been so long I can't remember what was all in thalast show but I THINK that is what went down! Tell Kristie she will really get into it..it has got so much suspense in every show really!
Now catching up on The Following!
Hope it all works out Sherry!!!
Boy ,I feel so lame here. My favorite is Downton Abby on PBS..and my next favorite is Revenge. I have to watch those 2. Other than those, I like 2 broke girls, Mike and Molly and really like Modern Family. I can live without seeing these but not DA or R. They are on the same time so I watch DA the next day on PBS.
They sure do know how to leave you in suspense! I knew that cop on there was going to go down. Now one of the followers snuck up behind the guy as he was telling the kid who he was, and suspense!!!!! Still got the lady down in the basement all tied up that is scared to death of course, and wondering if he is going to come back and rescue her. Now he's got a gun to the back of is head. Suspense, suspense, suspense! The weirdo in the prison sure plays his part good, doesn't he? And now the Mom of the boy had gotten in the car with another follower, because she thought it was the only way she'd see her son. That gal, one of the followers is a real psycho too, isn't she? I'm wondering if the follower who is sick and tired of it, will get killed, or will help out Bacon, because they have been trying to get him to kill the woman in the basement, and he doesn't want to.
Ex, I saw an ad for Revenge, but not seen it. It looks like it would be good though!
Survivor- the same gal that got voted off last ime the first time, is the same one that got voted off the first time now. I wish she could have made it further. It doesn't seem fair. The guy who says he used to work for -it was either the CIA or FBI-sure is a pink under wearing piece of work! I'm wondering if he got like that after working for them, or if he was always like that, & that's why he doesn't work for them anymore! I can't imagine it.
It is good Sherry. But like Downton Abby you have to watch from the beginning to really know what the heck is going on. Both of them killed off people this week...
Like The Following. You have to watch from the beginning to know what's going on.
I'm going to miss Moonshiners. It's done for the season, but I think they will bring it back. Just don't know when. Old Jim Tom, I hope he is still there when they do. He is a character and a half! His sing songy voice and personality, you can't help but like him. At the last, some of the guys were mad at him though, because he is such a talker, and they want to be quiet when they're out there in the woods, and old Jim Tom is something else! It really was interesting to watch, and we will watch it again, if hopefully, they bring it back on.
My mom and my sister watch Downtown Abby ..... I think. They watch a couple of shows on BBC and PBS.
I watched the Moonshiner thing that night. Didn't make it through the whole thing. Kristie and I reached a point where we just looked at each other and then I picked up the remote and changed it. She started laughing saying we are getting good at reading each other's mind! LOL Just not a lot of reality shows that we care for.
It's a good thing there is such a variety of programs on TV! Everyone likes something different.
Anyone seen that commercial for Bing? They say go to bingiton.com and take the challenge to see if you like Bing over Google. I took the challenge:
bing won 0 rounds
Search requested Who won?
True. Was it the part where they were all sitting around the table discussing what they did and do? That wasn't the center of the Moonshiner's story if so. It really was interesting to watch what they do, how they do, how they have to lay low and watch, and the schemes worked out to keep ahead of the law, their history.
Michael, when you referred to the BBC, is this BBC America or the British BBC, and would you advise if they show ad's in between the programme's or do they run a programme all the way through as the BBC do in the UK
I like to watch HGTV House Hunters & House Hunter's International sometimes. It keeps one informed on what you can get in different places for the money also, on homes, condos, apts. I have to confess though, that when they show a gay couple going through the process of looking for homes, yes, I change the channel, say what anyone will.
Well, we started off watching the episode before the table one. We almost stopped from that one but figured we would give it a bit more time. It was during the table discussion that I reached the point of enough. My biggest issue was with one of the things you liked about it, the fact that it's illegal and they were talking about how to get away with it. I don't like programs that teach others how to break the law.
I like HGTV too! Not as much as my father. Man! He LOVES that station! I need to have some fiction in my life to get the brain thinking about the plots and who is guilty, haha.
I've seen both here, but we don't specifically have the BBC channel. We have BBCA, BBC America, in which we do have commercials. The BBC shows we see are on our PBS, Public Broadcast System, which does not have commercials on any program, US or BBC.
I like the nature shows, we both like the Gordon Ramsay shows, and Kristie likes Graham Norton. I didn't like his show at first because of his gay stories, but he seems to have toned that down. I find myself laughing my butt off at many of his shows. We are watching old shows right now. We just saw the one with Will Smith the other day and I was rolling! Today was Charlize Theron and it was good. We don't get some of the jokes because we don't know the area or some of the slang, but for the most part, I have to admit he runs a very funny show!
Dr. Who seems to be extremely popular over there. I just can't get into it. I've tried, but to me it's just too cheesy. We own each of the Harry Potter movies and have watched those many times. We aren't really into dramas too much nor anything that looks like a soap opera. Got anything to recommend that we may be missing?
They tell you on Moonshiners up front that doing this is illegal, but they teach you that Moonshining is part of America's history, and before the 1900's it was not illegal. Even George Washington used to make moonshine. Not all moonshine is illegal. Even one of the guys on there is starting to go legal. It's just interesting to me, and something that I personally think shouldn't be illegal up where they are. I wouldn't want one in my backyard! Some of these people, it is their way of life and living, that has been handed down through time.
I am watching something really weird! At least it is tonight! It is called My Big Red Neck Vacation. Why it is weird, they are stopped off in Deerborn Michigan. The restaurant food was awful, and no alcohol anywhere. The guys were target shooting so the gals went to town to shop and ended up talking with a muslim lady that either owns or works at the shop, & going to have coffee with her. Now they are all invited to dinner at her house! This ought to be really funny with thes redneck Louisianans!
My husband taped this show maybe a couple days ago. They are showing different things they do, so they haven't gone to dinner yet. I knew Deerborn was full of muslims, but I did not know they owned the town like that-? The woman said there was no alcohol in the town. I knew that's where they had filmed that so called All American Muslim.
Yeah Sherry..I knew that Dearborn, Michigan was a solid Muslim town..they basically just took it over! Tghat sounds like that dinner would be hilarious!!! I just hope they get out alive!! I would love to see a video on that dinner and hear what they talk about!!
There is going to be another new show starting up pretty soon about people living out in the wilderness here in Alaska and I think we are going to watch that one! It's going to be a series! I wish Flying Wild Alaska was still on but they are done! Then we watch the Gold Mining Shows on Friday night...I think this next Friday night somebody kills themself in Nome...at least they have been showing this person being wheeled out on a gurney to someplace forever. That one blond guy on there is just plain crazy and a real freaking jerk! He's a major narcissist!!
We started watching the moonshiners when it first started and then we missed a couple shows and then never did go back to watching it again.
I never watched those shows Donna! Bob's pretty picky when it comes to watching TV and it's usually what he wants to watch so I just use my time on the computer...
I have seen Bing on the computer here Michael but never really used them..it's always google!!
I posted this earlier, but it never appeared.
Well this is something we will simply disagree on. You said they feel they have the right to make shine. I agree. They do have the right to make THEIR OWN shine. But the moment the sell it, or even give it away, they have stepped outside of their personal rights and are now affecting others. They don't have that right.
I put moonshine right up there with pot. It's booze, not history. Hell it didn't even originate in the USA so it isn't USA history. It didn't help build this country, but it did help organized crime to attain a stronger foothold. They claim it started NASCAR, but come on, 2 guys, 2 cars ... car racing would have become big without moonshine.
It's dangerous, which is why it is illegal to make and sell it without proper restrictions in place to prevent blindness, stroke or death. Since it was difficult to prove shoddy work caused a person's health issues or death, they went after the tax evasion, just as they did with Al Capone when they couldn't prove the murders he committed.
A show like this will make some nut-job think if they can do it, he can do it. Just one poorly distilled methanol batch and people could end up injured for life, or worse yet, killed. If there's nothing wrong with what they are doing, then they should process it legally, abide by the safeguards, do legal business as millions of other businesses do, and pay their fair share of taxes instead of evading.
When I was very young in the 60's I watched Dr Who, but the Dr Who now is not a patch of what it was, the Sit-com's however are out this world, Last of the summer wine,
Open all Hour's, Are You Being Served?, Some Mothers Do Ave Em, but the one sitcom from the BBC that stands out as the best of all is the sitcom Only fools and Horses this sitcom was shown on Sunday evening, when returning to work on the Monday, very little work was done, this was due to the sitcom Only fools and Horses, it had me rolllling with laughing and even now still does, some 15 plus years later.
Never heard of those Ray, except I think I have heard of Last of the Summer Wine. The Only Fools and horses sounds like a good one.
You should have seen the look on the rednecks face when their wives told them they were invited to dinner at the muslim's home. The muslim gal said she really thought the one guys beard was awesome, then her husband siad he could almost pass for an Arab. Oh oh! Should have seen the look then.-so the muslim guy asked what was wrong with that. The redneck then asked them the difference between a muslim and islam, and they told them. Then the muslim guy says they don't eat pork-when asked why, the wife said because it is almost the same as a human, so it would be like eating your own kind. That drew funny looks too. The guys were brought a non beer when they asked if they had a beer, but said it did have good flavor. It ended okay, and I don't know where they are off to next.
I understand some points in you being against moonshining Michael, but I'm not against the ones who have done it all their life, and pass the art of it down, and those do know everything there is to know about it, & improvements made through time. I wasn't saying it built America, but it is something that started in the Middle Ages in Europe, and they brought their knowledge with them, handed it down , so it is a part of those one's history. The Revolutionary War, the gov't decided they were going to start taxing them for money to fund the war, Civil War too.
OH! On that My Big Redneck Vacation, when one of the guys was introducing himself and the other couples & saying who was who, and the one's related, the muslim guy must have got confused, smiles & says that's what they do too - marry cousins! The Redneck guy snorted, shook his head, & said that no, that's not what they did!
Okay. I just got finished watching a tearjerker. But it was a good tearjerker. It ended up like it was supposed to. It was Straight From The Heart. It was about a succesful New York photographer who meets up with a reclusive Wyoming Cowboy who can't give up the past. Beautiful country in it too. I just loved his log wood home, course he wasn't bad either. LOL
Geez. Just saw on tv where 2 girls here, today, a little over 5 miles from our house, went 30 ft. over an elevated ramp, plunging to the freeway below. Both died. Neither was wearing seat belts. Then a SA deputy in Converse, I think about 15 miles from here, got shot in the arm and leg, he's okay, but all over a stolen vehicle, and the suspect drew on them first. Suspect dead.
Well, fixin to go buy more munition, as tomorrow we will be going to target practice again. Gota keep up skills ya know! See ya later
Tonight we are watching ARGO, the true story of the CIA trying to save 6 American hostages in Iran in 1980. Been on the edge of my seat through most of it! Got about half an hour to go. Intermission is over ... Kristie is back from the bathroom ... so gotta go!
Sounds good Michael! Fixing to call it a night and go watch tv in bed. I guess we are going to watch HGTV in a few minutes. Had a nice long day.
I saw ads for ARGO. Well, may have to get it from Netflix!
Have a good night everyone!
Wow! What a movie! If you see this movie, don't leave when the credits start. There's more information plus pictures of the real person next to the actor. I couldn't tell the difference in some of those photos!
There's no question that Jimmy Carter was one of the worst presidents of all time. But I always had respect for him because he was a nice guy, modest. Or so I thought. I've now seen two things that caused me to lose that little bit of respect. The second one being tonight, which sent any thread of respect right out the window. At the end of the movie, Carter makes a statement regarding Argo.
SPOILER ALERT ....
If you don't remember or don't know what happened with project ARGO and plan on seeing the movie, then don't read any further.
Carter's statement at the end of the movie:
'They went under the guise of creating a motion picture film, but that it had a high possibility of failure. And after it was successful of course, it was a great temptation to reveal all the stories so maybe I could take a little bit of credit for it since I was president. But we had to keep it a secret.'
I can't stand politicians who take credit for someone else's work! I really thought Jimmy Carter was a nice enough person to be above that, even though he was bad for the country. What a shame it was to hear him say such a thing. It just makes him that much worse as a president. But what's even scarier, Obama is still worse than Carter. Worst presidents ever, in top position is Obama, with Carter coming in a close second and Wilson a very close third.
Michael..We saw ARGO too and that was really a good movie! Suspense all the way..those are the kind I like to watch!!We just watched a new movie tonight with ashton Kutcher in it called Killers and Tom Sellek was in it too and then that gal that was in the Home Alone series..she was so funny in all the movies I have seen her in! It was pretty good a little far fetched towards the end but it was good. Then ealier we watched a documentary on a bunch of sky divers that jumped off of Angle Falls in Venezuela! Man..what a jump!!!!!!!
Now that goes out of my comfort zone! I'm not jumping out of any plane! My hubby did it tandem twice in Louisiana & just loved it. I'll stick to zip lining! Which I hope to get to do again this summer sometime, in a place not too far from here.
Argo is on our "must watch" list.....we passed it up while vacationing in AZ and chose Awaken 2....Big Mistake!!!! So I am scrolling past your comments right now on the movie.....
We watched The Following last night....I am questioning who all on the force could be one of Joe's followers.....Hubby says the show it beginning to be a little unbelieveable and way too many bloody killings.....I'm still hooked though.....there so much more to the show since they did 15 episodes for this season.
We started "Game of Cards" last night and we really liked it. The first show has so many characters they are introducing you too and what their role is....I kind of got lost on who is who...but hubby helped me through it...LOL....anxious to go on to the next episode now....it was late when we got started on the shows last night, so we were only up to the first showing.....
I wasn't going to watch the Oscars tonight because I found them so boring and political, but I will tune in just to see what everyone is wearing and Adele is performing and I really like her. I haven't seen one movie that is up for Oscars, so I really can't vote my choice based on performance. I'm sure I will rent them when they are at Red Box......some I do want to see. Lincoln and Zero Dark Thirty for sure. Oh, and Silver Linings Playbook......so want to see that.
I have been hearing good stuff about Downtown Abby and I noticed it's on Netflix.....so I will have to check it out.
I'm getting my Sunday morning political fix on all the talk shows.....hubby always gives me a bad time because I spend more time yelling at the tv than listening...lol....I think he's right because the dems just keep spinning those lying talking points and the host NEVER calls them out on them.....(except for Chris Wallace).....Peggy Noonan had a great piece in the WJS and she nailed obama.....he is just a fear monger and that's how he campaigns.....scare the hell out of the people......Rush's comments are so right this week that "for the first time, he is ashamed of his country"......obama and the liberals are playing us all for "fools"......oh so true!!!!!!!
I'm ashamed of the non American legal by BC only people we have in this country. People who have no respect for our forefathers, out Constitution, rights, and support a communist regime takeover. Little do they know the consequences for themselves and their loved ones, by being led by ones who do know.
