O'siyo!
I'm 58, not Native American but originally from Chicago and live in France with my French husband and two of four children. I have been very interested in Native American sprituality, particularly concerning Mother Earth, since childhood. I live in a small country town about 45 miles south of Paris and don't work outside my home. I like to write, read, spend time outdoors and travel (husband works for the arilines). A few years ago I started a herbal garden and traditional flowers (roses, honeysuckle, etc.) and have a small olive bush as well. As plants/herbs are known by their Latin names in Europe, I am on the lookout for substitions and origins, as traditional North American herbs are not available or easy to find.
Many blessings,
Joanne
It is a good place, good spirit.
I changed my name back to Jenna !
I am glad to see friends here.
Thank you all, much love Louise

Sending a big shout out to Cloe and Angel. ![]()
Welcome to our little corner of cyberspace. I look forward to getting to know both of you better. Please feel free to jump right in whenever the mood strikes you. We always love contributions from our members.
On a personal note, Cloe I can sympathize with your struggle to learn Cherokee. I have been trying to teach myself Lakota for a couple of years now and am failing miserably at it. It's just so hard to do when you don't actually know anyone who can speak the language to get input from. I can't tell you how many times I have thought I knew how to pronounce a particular word judging by how it is spelled only to find out later when I hear it in a movie or somewhere that I had gotten it all wrong.
Oh well...I still keep trying though.
O'siyo,
I just wanted to introduce myself,
my name is Cloe, I am learning the Cherokee language at the moment very slowly and would appriciate an input. I have felt a conection with Native American people all my life, and love and respect our earth mother and everything that lives on her. Love and light to all of you!! your unali....Cloe Virginia...Wado....
Hi everyone, I'm Angel from the UK, mother of 3 adult daughters and a healer since childhood. I have Native American friends, from whom I have learned much wisdom, have had many questions answered and gained much respect for the way of life they follow, which is as natural to me as breathing! I'm looking forward to meeting you all
Blessings, Angel

Hello to all,
Happy to be a member of the group. Much wisdom and love here. My husband is Native American and his daughter Frances is Chairman of the Lower Elwhas here on the Olympic Peninsula. You may have heard that we have found many artifacts when the Department of Roads was going to build parts for the Hood Canal Bridge in WA State. There is still on going battle with the Dept. of Transportation over the site that the ancestors graves were found and the artifacts.
Looking forward to being a member of this great group.
Again really happy to be a part of the group,

Dear Fellow Members,

Five Easy Pieces
To thine own self be who, and
While you're being what you are,
Stray not from this, your unfolding
Path and heart- where, how and
Why; forever unanswered.
Musings
In between words and lines,
Poetry's music fathoms
The depths of our heart,
The heights of our intellect
And imagination,
Breadth of our spirit,
Well of our soul,
Alluding to the unknown;
Saliently. For, the muse
But whispers, silently;
Moving in mysterious ways.
Painting's music?
Inexpressible and felt,
Unknowable and experienced;
Of echoing images and silences.
Even the shadow
Speaks of the light!
Cityscape
Hustled and bustled,
Still, hands only put to heart,
Beings, only art.

My name is Lee and I am new to care2 and to this groups. I came upon the site after signing a petition. I am going to school full time, which is a priority right now so I might not be on to much. I really like what I have seen so far. I would like to meet some people from western South Dakota who could inform me of upcoming events and activities. Being on the computer all week, it is nice to get away on weekends and evenings to do something hands on. I will be back soon. Lee

Hello,
My name is Ashley, but i go by Jasper Raven Hawthorn. I am a Dianic Wiccan. I am 16 and have been learning about the craft since I was 12. But finally put everything I learned into action when I was 14 1/2. I first heard about Wicca, when I was 12. I was in a children’s home and if if wasn't Christian it was "evil" or so they would have liked me to believe. But being the curious girl I was, decided that I wanted to find out what it really was. I wanted to know, wanted to find out by myself. That’s when I took my first step... I was like a baby learning to walk. I read about God's and Goddess' and people who danced around naked under the full moon (even though I know not everyone does.) I learned about herbs and there property's both magickal and not. I learned about meditation, grounding, centering, the altar, and the earth in general; I realized that it was what i had been missing my whole life, it was the part of me that for so long I didn't know what there. The Creed, the Wiccan Rede, the Charge of the Goddess... all these things made since to me, but only one rule! I couldn't believe it... one single rule. And it Harm None, Do What Ye Will. Eight simple words. That I chose to live my life by. I left the children’s home when I was 14. Every since then I have studied and learned as much as I can, and I know I will never stop learning; I don't want to. I love this life, this path, and it was meant for me.
Blessed Be,
Jasper Raven Hawthorn
Thanks for listening to me go on and on... It's nice being here.
Your group's focus is inspiring and so important! I look forward to learning from all of you and to contributing a little of myself.
Many Blessings,
SilverWolf
ok so how is everyone today? My name is tabby and I am from Fort Collins Colorado and love it here. I grew up in Indiana, have lived in florida, and several other states as the years went till i settled here.
I have three kids..only my daughter lives with me...she is sixteen and also a member of care2.com. together we try to help out as much as possible.
I am a white woman who tries to follow the red road. I respect all beliefs and realize that deep down we all want the same thing...and I love this earth and all it's inhabitants. I know that maybe signing a petition or walking a sponsored hike may be meanial to some but it is my way of doing my part for our mother...and I am ready and willing to learn...sometimes I post alot, sometimes you wont hear from me for awhile but I am still around, clicking and reading and responding when I can..so say HI...lol...I dont bite.
Have a great day and walk in peace and light of the Great Spirits love.
A little about me
I am 35 years young, I was born and raised in Florida.. I have 2 daughters 13 and 14 years old. I am owned by 4 cats and 2 turtles...... My love for Mother Earth, I believe I was born with... My love for her goes as far back as I can remember. I remember when I was a young girl around 4 or 5 years of age, it was before I started school. I use to love to go outside and take my shirt off so I could lay down on the ground and have the earth touching as much of my skin as possible and I use to just lay there like that watching the clouds for what seemed like a long time to me.....Still to this day I love going outside barefooted in the mornings and stepping in the wet grass to feel that surge of energy just flow through me from the souls of my feet to the top of my head, to me that is one of the greatest ways to start a morning.......
Many Blessings,
SilverWolf
