A Cherokee Prophesy

There was the cycle of the mineral, the rock. There was the cycle of the plant. And now we are in the cycle of the animal coming to the end of that and beginning the cycle of the human being. When we get into the cycle of the human being, the highest and greatest powers that we have will be released to us.

At the beginning of this cycle of time, long ago, the Great Spirit made an appearance and gathered the peoples of this earth together, and said to the human beings, "I'm going to send you to four directions, and over time I'm going to change you to four colors, but I'm going to give you some teachings, and you will call these the Original Teachings; when you come back together with each other, you will share these so that you can live and have peace on earth, and a great civilization will come about. During the cycle of time, I'm going to give each of you two stone tablets. When I give you those stone tablets, don't cast them upon the ground. If any of the sisters and brothers cast their tablets on the ground, not only will human beings have a hard time, but almost the earth itself will die."

And so He gave each of us a responsibility, and we call that the Guardianship. To the Indian people, the red people, He gave the Guardianship of the Earth. We were to learn during this cycle of time the teachings of the earth, the plants that grow from the earth, the foods that you can eat, and the herbs that heal so that, when we came back together with the other sisters and brothers, we could share this knowledge with them. Something good was to happen on the earth.

To the South He gave the yellow race of people the Guardianship of the Wind. They were to learn about the sky and breathing and how to take that within ourselves for spiritual advancement. They were to share that with us at this time.

To the West He gave the black race of people the Guardianship of the Water. They were to learn the teachings of the water, which is the chief of the elements, being the most humble and the most powerful. The elders have told me that the black people would bring the teachings of the water.

To the North He gave the white race of people the Guardianship of the Fire. If you look at the center of many of the things they do, you will find the fire. They say a light bulb is the white man's fire. If you look at the center of a car you will find a spark. If you look at the center of the airplane and the train you will find the fire. The fire consumes, and also moves. This is why it was the white sisters and brothers who began to move upon the face of the earth and reunite us as a human family.

And so a long time passed, and the Great Spirit gave each of the four races two stone tablets. Ours are kept at the Hopi Reservation in Arizona at Four Corners Area on Third Mesa. I talked to people from the black race, and their stone tablets are at the foot of Mount Kenya. They are kept by the Kukuyu Tribe. I was at an Indian spiritual gathering about 15 years ago. A medicine man from South Dakota put a beaded medicine wheel in the middle of the gathering. It had the four colors from the four directions; he asked the people, "Where is this from?" They said, "Probably Montana, or South Dakota, maybe Saskatchewan." He said, "This is from Kenya." It was beaded just like ours, with the same colors.

The stone tablets of the yellow race of people are kept by the Tibetans. If you went straight through the Hopi Reservation to the other side of the world, you would come out in Tibet. The Tibetan word for sun is the Hopi word for moon, and the Hopi word for sun is the Tibetan word for moon.

The guardians of the traditions of the people of Europe are the Swiss. In Switzerland, they still have a day when each family brings out its mask. They still know the colors of the families, and they still know the symbols, some of them. Each of these four peoples happen to live in the mountains.

Each of the four races went to their directions and learned their teachings. It was in Newsweek not long ago that eight out of ten foods that people eat on the earth are developed here in the western hemisphere because that was our Guardianship -- to learn the teachings of the earth and the things that grow from the earth. We were given a sacred handshake to show, when we came back together as sisters and brothers, that we still remembered the teachings.

It was indicated on the stone tablets that the Hopis had that the first sisters and brothers who would come back to them would come as turtles across the land. They would be human beings, but they would come as turtles. So when the time came close, the Hopis were at a special village to welcome the turtles that would come across the land. They got up in the morning and looked out at the sunrise. They looked out across the desert, and they saw the Spanish conquistadores coming, covered in armor, like turtles across the land. So this was them. So they went out to the Spanish man, and they extended their hand, hoping for the handshake. But into the hand the Spanish man dropped a trinket. And so word spread throughout North America that there was going to be a hard time, that maybe some of the brothers and sisters had forgotten the sacredness of all things and all the human beings were going to suffer for this on the earth.

So tribes began to send people to the mountains to have visions to try to figure out how they could survive. At that time there were 100,000 cities in the Mississippi Valley alone, called the mound civilization: cities built on great mounds. Those mounds are still there. They began to try to learn to live off the land because they knew a hard time was going to come. They began to send people to have visions to see how we could survive this time. They were told in the prophecies that we should try to remind all the people that would come here of the sacredness of all things. If we could do that, then there would be peace on earth. But if we did not do that, if we had not come together as a human family, the Great Spirit would grab the earth with His hand and shake it.

The elders on the west coast prophesied that they would then begin to build a black ribbon. And on this black ribbon there would move a bug. And when you begin to see this bug moving on the land, that was the sign for the First Shaking of the Earth. The First Shaking of the Earth would be so violent that this bug would be shaken off the earth into the air and it would begin to move and fly in the air. And by the end of this shaking this bug will be in the air around the world. Behind it would be a trail of dirt and eventually the whole sky of the entire earth would become dirty from these trails of dirt, and this would cause many diseases that would get more and more complicated. So the bug moving on the land, of course it's easy to see now. In 1908 the Model-T Ford was mass produced for the first time. So the elders knew the First Shaking of the Earth was about to come about -- that was the First World War.

In the First World War the airplane came into wide usage for the first time. That was that bug moving into the sky. And so they knew something very important would happen. There would be an attempt to make peace on earth on the west coast of this land, and so the elders began to watch for this. They began to hear that there was going to be a League of Nations in San Francisco, so the elders gathered in Arizona around 1920 or so, and they wrote a letter to Woodrow Wilson. They asked if the Indian people could be included in the League of Nations.

The United States Supreme Court had held that a reservation is a separate and semi-sovereign nation, not a part of the United States but protected by it. This became a concern because people didn't want the reservations to become more and more separate. They didn't want them to be considered nations. So they did not write back, and the Native people were left out of the League of Nations so that circle was incomplete. In the League of Nations circle there was a southern door, the yellow people; there was a western door, the black people; there was a northern door, the white people; but the eastern door was not attended. The elders knew that peace would not come on the earth until the circle of humanity is complete, until all the four colors sat in the circle and shared their teachings, then peace would come on earth.

So they knew things would happen. Things would speed up a little it. There would be a cobweb built around the earth, and people would talk across this cobweb. When this talking cobweb, the telephone, was built around the earth, a sign of life would appear in the east, but it would tilt and bring death (the swastika of the Nazis). It would come with the sun. But the sun itself would rise one day, not in the east but in the west (the rising sun of the Japanese Empire). So the elders said when you see the sun rising in the east, and you see the sign of life reversed and tilted in the east, you know that the Great Death is to come upon the earth, and now the Great Spirit will grab the earth again in His hand and shake it, and this shaking will be worse than the first. So the sign of life reversed and tilted, we call that the Swastika, and the rising sun in the east was the Rising Sun of Japan. These two symbols are carved in stone in Arizona. When the elders saw these two flags, they knew that these were the signs that the earth was to be shaken again.

The worse misuse of the Guardianship of the fire is called the gourd of ashes. They said the gourd of ashes will fall from the air. It will make the people like blades of grass in the prairie fire, and things will not grow for many seasons. The atomic bomb, the gourd of ashes, it was the best-kept secret in the history of the US. The elders wanted to speak about it in 1920.

They would have spoken of it and foretold its coming if they could have entered into the League of Nations. The elders tried to contact President Roosevelt to ask him not to use the gourd of ashes because it would have a great effect on the earth and eventually cause even greater destruction and a the Third Shaking of the Earth, the Third World War.

So they knew after the Second Shaking of the Earth when they saw the gourd of ashes fall from the sky, there would be an attempt to make peace on the other side of this land. And because the peace attempt on the west coast had failed, they would build a special house on the east coast of this Turtle Island, and all the nations and peoples of the earth would come to this house, and it would be called the House of Mica, and it would shine like the mica on the desert shines. So the elders began to see they were building the United Nations made out of glass that reflects like the mica on the desert so they knew this was the House of Mica, and all the peoples of the earth should go to it. So they met and talked about this. They said that in the 1920's they had written and they had not been responded to, so they said this time we'd better go to the front door of the House of Mica because things might get a lot worse.

So elders representing a number of tribes drove to New York City. When the United Nations opened, they went to the front door of the house of Mica and they said these words, 'We represent the indigenous people of North America, and we wish to address the nations of the Earth. We're going to give you four days to consider whether or not we will be allowed to speak.'

They retreated to one of the Six Nations Reserves in New York State. Four days later they came back, and I believe the nations of the earth heard that the Indians had come to the door. And they voted to let the Indians in. They wanted to hear what they had to say. But the United States is one of five nations of the United Nations with a veto power, and still they were concerned because this time the Native sovereignty was even stronger. And I believe they vetoed the entrance of the Native people.

So then they knew other things would happen on the Earth. So they retreated to the Six Nations Reserve, and they talked about this, and they said the time is really getting close now -- 1949. They said, "We're going to divide the United States into four sections, and each year we're going to have a gathering. We're going to call these the White Roots of Peace Gatherings." They began to have these around 1950. And they authorized certain people to speak in English for the first time about these prophecies.

One that I used to listen to many times, over and over, was Thomas Banyaca. He was authorized to speak in English about what was on the stone tablets, and he has dedicated his life to doing this. And they began to tell us at these gatherings, "You're going to see a time in your lifetime when the human beings are going to find the blueprint that makes us." They call that now DNA, deoxyribonucleic acid. They said, "They're going to cut this blueprint." They call that now genetic splicing. And they said, "They're going to make new animals upon the earth, and they're going to think these are going to help us. And it's going to seem like they do help us. But maybe the grandchildren and great-grandchildren are going to suffer." The elders said long ago, "They will release these things, and they will use them." This is going to be released not too long from now. They are making new animals. The elders talked about this. They said, "You will see new animals, and even the old animals will come back, animals that people thought had disappeared. They will find them here and there. They'll begin to reappear."

They said, "You're going to see a time when the eagle will fly its highest in the night, and it will land upon the moon. And at that time, many of the Native people will be sleeping," which symbolically means they have lost their teachings. We're at that time now. The Eagle has landed on the moon, 1969. When that spaceship landed, they sent back the message, "The Eagle has landed." Traditionally, Native people from clear up in the Inuit region have shared with us this prophecy, clear down to the Quechuas in South America.

At this time you're going to see that things will speed up, that people on the earth will move faster and faster. Grandchildren will not have time for grandparents. Parents will not have time for children. It will seem like time is going faster and faster. The elders advised us that, as things speed up, you yourself should slow down. The faster things go, the slower you go. Because there's going to come a time when the earth is going to be shaken a third time. The Great Spirit has shaken the earth two times: the First and Second World Wars to remind us that we are a human family, to remind us that we should have greeted each other as brothers and sisters. We had a chance after each shaking to come together in a circle that would have brought peace on earth, but we missed that.

Tonight they were talking on the news about the sign for the Third Shaking of the Earth. They said they're going to build what the elders called the house in the sky. In the 1950's they talked about this: they will build a house and throw it in the sky. When you see people living in the sky on a permanent basis, you will know the Great Spirit is about to grab the earth, this time not with one hand, but with both hands. When this house is in the sky, the Great Spirit is going to shake the Earth a third time, and whoever dropped that gourd of ashes, upon them it is going to drop. They say at that time there will be villages in this land so great that when you stand in the villages you will not be able to see out, and in the prophecies these are called villages of stone, or prairies of stone. And they said the stone will grow up from the ground, and you will not be able to see beyond the village.

At the center of each and every one of these villages will be Native people, and they will walk as hollow shells upon a prairie of stone. They said hollow shells, which means they will have lost any of their traditional understandings; they will be empty within. They said that, after the Eagle lands on the moon, some of these people will begin to leave these prairies of stone and come home and take up some of the old ways and begin to make themselves reborn, because it's a new day. But many will not. And they said there's going to come a time when in the morning the sun is going to rise, and this village of stone will be there, and in the evening there would just be steam coming from the ground. They will be as steam. And in the center of many of those villages of stone, when they turn to steam, the Native people will turn to steam also because they never woke up and left the village.

They say there's going to be the Third Shaking of the Earth. It's not going to be a good thing to see, but we will survive it. We will survive it. And when we survive it, there's going to be another attempt to make a circle of the human beings on the earth. And this time the Native people will not have to petition to join but will be invited to enter the circle because they say the attitude toward us will have changed by then, and people will let us into the circle, and all the four colors of the four directions will share their wisdom, and there will be a peace on earth. This is coming close.

The prophecies are always either/or. We could have come together way back there in 1565, and we could have had a great civilization, but we didn't. Always along the path of these prophecies, we could have come together. We still could.

If we could stop the racial and religious disharmony, we would not have to go through this third shaking. The elders say the chance of that is pretty slim. It seems to me like it's pretty slim, too. But they say what we can do is we can cushion it so it won't be quite as bad. How do we do this? We do this by sharing the teaching that will reunite us.

The Nine Pointed Star Has Risen

Legends say that at the beginning of each cycle of time, the Great Spirit comes to the people through the words of a messenger. This Promised One is relied upon to guide the obedient safely through the purification's and to then aid in rebuilding civilization.

In 1963, Grandfather David, an elder of the Hopi tribe, saw a nine-pointed star rising in the sky. He knew this to be the awaited herald of the lost white brother, the Bahana. Searchers were immediately sent out in each of the four cardinal directions. Their task was to find him and investigate his ability to meet all of the criteria prophesied to identify him. The one who traveled north to Missoula, Montana succeeded!

As all are given the freedom to choose to follow or turn away from the Creator's Teachers, all may also individually investigate the Teacher's claims to be one sent by the Creator.

Today we are faced with this very challenge as One who fulfills these criteria has appeared. While many have come claiming to be true prophets, only those who fulfill a pre-established criteria which all may freely investigate should be considered authentic; for authenticity is the criteria for believability. Only the Ones exclusively and implicitly prophesied by what their NAME will be, WHERE they will appear, the DATE they will arrive, and the MISSION they will carry can be considered True Sources.

Since 4000 BC we have been exposed to educators who have told us of the "end times" and have given promises for the coming of a teaching that will finally unify all people. Proof of this unified concept of the future can be found in the writings of Nostradamus, a 16th century French seer; the Book of Revelation, which contains the future visions of Jesus as told through his disciple John; and the symbolic inscriptions carried on ancient stone tablets in the possession of the Hopi, Swiss, Kenyans and Tibetans. Not to mention other sources.

It is prophesied that the White man would come and try to change the life pattern of the Native American. He would have a "forked tongue" and bring many tempting things to the people. They were warned, however, not to fall for this trick for they would be forever weakened. Also, they were told of a coming time when the people would be forced to develop their lives and land according to the dictation of a new ruler. The people were instructed not to resist. They were to wait for their lost White Brother, the Bahana, and the missing cornerstone- you know, "the one that the builders refused".

The Great Spirit, who loves all equally, did not wish the tribes to be tricked by the "forked tongue." The Great Spirit gave the people the serpent to guard all directions from evil. If the people use this serpent, the intellect, they will not be fooled. They will be able to see how the serpents point to the Bahana, and use the serpent, or intellect, to investigate his authenticity.

To test the Bahana's authenticity and provide additional assurance against impostors, the people were also told to ask him about the Book of Truth which would contain great knowledge. In addition, the True Bahana would come from the Father Sun in the East, and a nine-pointed star would be seen rising to herald his arrival.

The Hopis believe the transition of these signs from prophecy to fulfillment marks the advent of the Day of Purification. Known as the "third shaking of the earth," the Hopi's recognize its imminence and have tried to share their prophesies with the world at the United Nations. After their third rejection they proclaimed "there is no longer any hope for world peace" without the third shaking. The arrival of the Bahana, or "people of Baha", provides all with the hope for a peaceful civilization after the shaking, as he brings the (true) teachings of Baha'u'llah, who revealed a plan for achieving true justice and world peace. The United Nations is, in fact, a partial replica of this plan, as were its predecessors the World Court at the Hague and the League of Nations. Each of their founders had exposure to Baha'u'llah's writings.

They created imitations based on His plan for a democratic monarchy with representatives from all the world's nations and a descendant of King David as its president, inseparably united to form the Universal House of Justice. The Headless Body on the tablet is the headless Universal House of Justice established by the disobedient Baha'is who have broken the covenant with the Creator. The true House of Justice is the cornerstone of the Kingdom of "God" on earth which Jesus, the first Christ told all to pray for. Christ is a title which means "a male-sperm descendant of David who is anointed". Baha'u'llah, whose name means "Glory of the Father" continues the Davidic genealogy as a direct descendant of David. Baha'u'llah was known as the "Father" as he taught the specifics of how the Kingdom would actually be organized. The Bahana comes from the "Father Sun" as he has dedicated his life to establishing the plan for the kingdom brought by Baha'u'llah.

The Bahana also fulfills the criteria for where he will be found-in Missoula, Montana. Legends state the Hopis were greeted by "Massoua" upon emergence to this fourth world. He gave them the stone tablet with the missing cornerstone and their migration instructions. The Hopi oral tradition results in many different spellings for Massoua:

Masaw - Book of the Hopi

Maasauu - From Beginning of Life to Day of Purification

Masauwu - Truth of a Hopi

Massoua - Meditations with the Hopi

This is because Massoua was never intended to be a person, but a place: Missoula. Upon finding him there, the Bahana has shown his Book of Truth to those who investigate. This is the Will and Testament of 'Abdul-Baha, son of Baha'u'llah. This book delineates the steps for implementing the true Universal House of Justice and guidelines to assure the continuation of the Throne of David (Psalms89) through the position of "Guardian" of the Baha'i Faith. The evolution of this plan continues forward today with the establishment of the true Universal House of Justice in its youth stage called the second International Baha'i Council. This is the teaching that the Hopis await. This is the teaching that will unite the earth and gather the 144,000 "rainbow warriors" or "sundancers". These 144,000 will be gathered by the Bahana and will proclaim the "Guardian" of the land to the whole world. At this time, the people will have their choice to accept of reject the Creator's plan for peace on earth.

Those who choose their own way will be purified through the third shaking. It is said the first two shakings were with one hand. The third will be with two hands in four phases, or "winds": a thermonuclear war, a meteor crashing into the earth's ocean to limit the war to just one hour, a great earthquake and a total shifting of the earth's crust.

If the Creator didn't love us all He would not have sent the Bahana. This message is not only for Native Americans. All are given the freedom of choice to follow the plan of the Creator or to follow their own way.

Crazy Horse's Visions
The following information was posted on another group I host by Joye L and I am posting it from there to here also: Thank You Joye for a very interesting article:
First Vision: As a young boy, Curly (so named because of his long curly light brown hair), often listened to the wise ones who spoke of greatness through vision quests. He also witnessed the death of Conquering Bear, en event that changed him from a young boy to a man who realized the white soldiers as enemies to his people. Conquering Bear died as a result of a foolish response to the killing of a cow by Straight Foretop when the cow came running into the camp doing damage. Straight Foretop slaughtered the cow, taking the beef for the damage. Lt. Gratten took thirty soldiers and two wagon guns to the camp and demanded punishment for the person who killed the cow. He insisted and would not relent until finally a soldier fired his rifle. Then a battle broke out with Straight Foretop killing Lt. Gratten and six bullets striking Conquering Bear. He died in the creek after asking his fellow chiefs to take care of his people. Curly saw this death and soon sought a vision of his life.

Hump was Curly's warrior teacher and taught him much about what it meant to be great. He spoke of the ceremonies to prepare for a vision quest. But when Curly felt the loss to his people by the foolish killing of Conquering Bear he knew the time had come for his first vision quest. As he traveled with the tribe, something called him to come to the height of a mountain. He left the group and found a pit left by an old eagle hunter long ago. He laid down on the ground of pebbles and placed stones between his toes to keep from sleep. He knew he was seeking a vision without the sweat bath preparations Hump had instructed him to do, but his mind was troubled and something called him to seek the vision now. Three days he went without food, water or sleep. He wondered about the foolish white people and their continually growing presence in the land. After no vision came to him and fearing he would grow too weak to climb back down to his horse, he left the pit and stumbled to where his horse was hobbled. He could not mount the horse because he was so weak. He fell to the ground leaning against a cottonwood tree, the sacred talking tree, and sleep overtook him. Then his dream came to him, a vision of lightening in the clouds and bullets whining in the air and one who rode back and forth and thought as if one with his mind. Crazy Horse, Curly's father and Hump found him asleep and woke him. He did not understand right away and was at first ashamed that he had tried to see a vision without proper preparation.

Later, Curly was beside the fire with his mother talking about the coming of the white soldiers when her eyes took on the sparkle of far seeing and she became as in a trance while she told him of a future where the one who knows all things will bring up men and women of honor to rekindle fire in the hearts of all people. She told him that they would not live to see that time, but that she saw his name on the lips of those people of honor when they come and his spirit in the mountains, for you will have left a trail of light in this present darkness and it shall be a guide to our people and perhaps to all people. He then realized that his mother had seen a great vision, maybe as great as the vision he had seen, but could not yet understand or talk about. However, this talk from his mother helped clear his mind somewhat.

As Curly continued to struggle with understanding his vision, he knew he must talk of it soon. After a time when he and his father had spent a long time together, he knew the time to bring his vision to clear understanding was near at hand. Standing tall Curly dropped his blanket from around him feeling the power Hump had told him would come and sending that power out so that he did not shiver in the cool fall air but lifted his spirit to become one with the circle of all that is.

His father then built a sweat lodge where the two, not as father and son, but as holy man and warrior, spoke of the vision for the first time. A man riding a horse that changed colors in a swirling mist carrying the man into dark storms of battle where bullets and arrows like trails of fire were always fading before they struck the man. Even as some people followed the man into battle, other tried to hold him back. There was a light that followed his movements, ebbing and flowing from dim to bright. The man had a small round sacred stone fastened under one ear, a single feather in his hair, a sparrow hawk flying over his head and his body streaked with lightening and the white marks of hailstones. In this vision also was shown that while he would never be killed in battle, he would die while in the hands of his own people. This was not fully understood until he was killed while his arms were being held back by members of his own people.

His father knew this was indeed a great vision saying you must do as the man in the vision did, leading your people in spite of those who attempt to hold you back. No bullet shall strike you. And as Curly had told him of his mother's vision, his father understood Curly's vision to also have great meaning for their people and maybe even all peoples. And he encouraged Curly to go to the mountain tops to fast and pray as often as the spirit moved him to do so.

Great Vision: (likely 1871) On Bear Butte after much preparation and fasting and during a great thunder and lightening storm with hailstones falling around him but not striking him, Crazy Horse heard a voice telling him to behold what is to be. His eyes were able to see far away things in detail. He looked below and saw a town of the white people with many houses. He say them busy with their work like many ants, but he felt a coldness from them that he did not understnad until he saw on the edge of this town some poor shacks where Indians lived. The Indians wore old castoff white men's clothes and their eyes were sullen like the darkness of a cloud. He saw two of them lying still on the ground where water puddles formed in the street. There was about them the stink of too much wiskey. He saw an old woman washing clothes by rubbing them on a board and about her was a weariness as if she could hardly move another inch. He knew the old spirit had gone from these people and a great sadness came over him. He knew who had caused this as one people held another down while taking whatever they wanted. His anger flashed. To die to save his people from this fate would be good. But he heard the voice say: "This had to be, but it will pass away, for all the people of Earth must gather together like the geese that fly together in the springtime." When he looked again down he saw not only the broken hearts and minds among his people, but also the few strong ones who somehow kept the spirit through all the bad times. For there were old men and women whose faces mirrored the clouds and the earth, and whose eyes had the light of the dawn, and he could see that they were passing on this spark to some few of their grandchildren.

As he next looked down, he saw black ribbons across the prairies. Looking closer he recognized the ribbons as little many-colored bugs moving very fast and then he saw people inside those fast moving bugs and he saw there were few horses anymore. Then he saw the darkness increasing all over the earth and heard loud noises with whistlings and screaming within the darkness. He saw the pain and tears of the families and realized that somewhere their loved ones were being killed. Next he saw people running about like crazy without accomplishing anything except putting up more buildings. He looked up and saw birds that were not birds but had lights by night as they flew through the sky. Then more fighting where explosions were so great that they rocked the mountains and made many houses disappear beneath a great smoke cloud.

After the great wars there came a time of new hope where the people tried to keep away from crazy water and were wearing better clothes and living in better houses. Yet there were still walls between his people and most of the white people. Suddenly all the people's faces disappeared into the darkness. From the east there came a light from a star with nine points and he knew this represented the nine circles, including the two new ones yet to come. Then a sacred herb grew into a great Sacred Tree of his people. The light continued to come from the east which was the world of the spirit, he saw people still in darkness and some were reaching their hands toward the light, some seeing it and some not seeing it. Some people were asking others if they saw the light. Some people were dancing in the spirit world under the sacred tree, but their faces were different and he realized the tree was too big for just his people alone and contained all races of men. They formed one circle of one people, united though different in a strange and sacred way.

When Crazy Horse told this vision to his father, he was silent for a long while. Finally, Worm (as old Crazy Horse chose to be humbly known after he gave his name to his son), realizing his son had been given a vision greater than he would ever have, spoke his feelings about Crazy Horse's great vision. He said "There is both bad and good in this vision. First you saw our people conquered, crazy water ruining our people's lives and our people being treated badly by the white people. But some still carried the dreams in secret until such time as they could share the secret hope to spread new light to all people." Worm went on to describe to Crazy Horse the importance of resisting the white soldiers through creating brave and honorable leaders even though in the end they cannot win the fight. Still it is important to create great leaders for the people to remember. Then one day as the vision showed, some of the white people will seek to fairly deal with all people and will share the light with others.

From the day of his father's talk, Crazy Horse increased the time he spent with young people. Taking time to explain the ways of the the Lakota in terms they could grasp and encouraging them to be brave and strong of spirit.

Last Vision: After the Sun Dance just before going to Fort Robinson, Crazy Horse purified himself in a sweat lodge and then climbed Beaver Mountain to fast and pray for four days and nights. He then returned to the sweat lodge to complete what was to be his last vision quest. Surely this time of seeking the future must have given him some understanding of the fatal nature of his surrender to the white soldiers. He seemed to know his fate was soon to be known, yet he went voluntarily to Fort Robinson and to his death. Crazy Horse moved from struggle both with the white soldiers and strife within the leadership of the Sioux to legend and gave his spirit to a movement that remains strong even today.

Much of the above information on Crazy Horse's visions is summarized from "Crazy Horse - Hoka Hey! [It is a good time to die!] The story of Crazy Horse, legendary mystic and warrior" by Vinson Brown.

Prophecy of the Cradleboard of Creation

From the Kiowa Grandmothers in Mexico

Our Earth Mother has never destroyed all of the Children of Earth in any of the four preceding worlds and will not do so in this one. The girth of Earth has expanded at the end of each world creating new land masses and eliminating others. Each time those of her true children who were able to read the omens were shown safe places to live. Some went into subterranean tunnels below the surface. The race that went below the surface is called the Subterraniums by the Seneca Wolf Clan.  The Cradleboard prophecy speaks of the coming alive of thousands of Rainbow Warriors of both sexes who will suddenly see manifested the dream of the Fifth World of Peace. We are now in this process during this age the Grandmothers called the Time of the White Buffalo.  It is during this time that the teachings are to be released to those with ears to hear and eyes to see.  The prophecy says that these warriors of the Rainbow will remember their legacy and use it for the good of all the Children of Earth. Chief Two Trees of the Cherokee says that these people may be white on the outside but are red on the inside. This is due to the fact that the Warriors of the Rainbow are Guardians of our Mother Earth, and they are our Red Ancestors returning to assist All Our Relations.  The prophecy of the Cradleboard of Creation also says that the Fire will come from the sky and hit the Earth Mother in the Water Nursery of Creation, or oceans.  This cometlike object will fertilize the ovum of Earth and recreate purity in all four Earth Clans. The Chiefs of Air, Earth, Water, and Fire will be whole once again. The condensation from this interaction of Fire and Water will give us back our ozone.  Many persons who have disconnected from the Earth Mother and do not know how to grow food will need to learn.  Many who have no knowledge of healing plants will need to rely on others who do. The ability to respond to the ensuing changes is carried in the understanding of the Cradleboard and each person's duty to share and be of service. It is time now to start the teaching process that will allow us to relearn Mother Earth's abundant lessons so that future generations will have the Knowing Systems needed for harmonious life.  Many ancient plants and animals will reappear in our new world as they have need to interact with us again.  Some plants will be used for healing and others for food. We will understand the Language of the Creature-Beings again and allow their instinct and wisdom to teach us how to take care of our needs. The Cradleboard will become a symbol of our first life-support system and we will become a world community. Communication in unity will prevail over one thousand years of peace when the Earth Mother will become a second sun or star in our solar system. We will not burn, living on her surface for we will have immortal bodies of Fire. The races from the stars will come to assist the Children of Earth in recultivating ecological balance and some will go with them to learn these new, yet ancient, Knowing Systems. Those who cannot accept the new Cradleboard of Creation will be removed to the body-double of the Earth Mother, which will house the memory of the devastation of her scarred and abused body. Many wonders will appear in the Time of the White Buffalo as governments will no longer control the actions of the Earth's Children and the people-to-people connections will be made strong.
