Good Afternoon everyone, It is another gray day here in MI. I do hope the weather is better where you are, they say we may get some light snow flurries. I am hoping that is not the case as it will probably destroy the blooming flowers in my garden.

Back indoors I turn my attention to the talent of Placido Domingo.

It is very cold in England at the moment, the ground is very icy and difficult to walk on and we have had freezing fog, but then I come on here and see all of these beautiful pictures, I am so glad I joined this group
BEST WISHES TO ALL FOR 2011
When you're lonely I wish you love
When you're down I wish you joy
When you're troubled I wish you peace
When things are complicated I wish you simple beauty
When things are chaotic I wish you inner silence
When things look empty I wish you hope...
Finding it hard to post. What I do achieve takes me so long, and I've lost a few attempts so I've had to give up. Depression and brain powerlessness are working against my will at this stage.
Last day of the year. I had hoped to make more of it.
All who've contributed here, and elsewhere in care2, have my appreciation.
That is such a sweet and touching thing to write, Jenny. I do wish you good fortune and comfort in 2011. An image for you.
My son has just arrived back in Sydney after a few days in Lourne for the festival there. Sunburnt, unwashed and happy. He was impressed with the organisers who provided breathalyzers and water - advising people if they were over-the-limit and needed to wait a while b4 they drove anywhere. They also provided a one-minute pause between performances when the audience were encouraged to pick-up litter.
Makes a nice change!
To my friends in this group...
Tired like this koala, and wish I was so relaxed! It's hot here and I'm in lots of pain. I got a delivery of groceries and all I have to do is pop a meal in the microwave...thanks for all who were thinking of me.
Also, concerned about all the floods around Australia - the thousands now homeless - the families and friends of the dead and missing - the animals that have drowned - the loss of livelihood.
The flooded areas in Queensland are said to be bigger than Texas, bigger than France and Germany put together. But the situation gets worse as flooding is now in 5 states. One town has been evacuated twice.
my news, if you have time and inclination, or view flood thread in An Orchid in Australia.

Please say prayers, light a candle or send positive thoughts to everyone in north queensland. I phoned my sister in Cairns last night - she and her husband and 6 children were packing everything - had already bought extra food - expecting to be without power once the cyclone hits. Cairns hospital has been evac'd already.
Thousands Flee Cyclone Yasi: Biggest Storm in Queensland's History, Australia
Jenny Dooley, 17 seconds ago - nzherald.co.nz
Tens of thousands of Queenslanders were last night fleeing their homes or battening down to face what authorities fear will become the biggest storm in the state's recorded history.
Cyclone Yasi was moving rapidly across the Pacific from Vanuatu and was forecast to directly strike Cairns and the far north coast shortly after midnight tonight (NZT), although conditions are likely to become potentially lethal from this morning.
I hope you're having a great weekend!
