Dian June 21, 2006 10:49 PM Thanks so very much...so sorry I haven't been around but I have been living out of my car and staying with my cousin in her fema trailer and it is tiny...I have been waiting to get a fema trailer also and they jst called me this morn to come out to measure and ck the place out, so, hopefully they will get here and I will finally have a place to keep all of my belongings, right now I have my things here and there and in my car, everytime I need something I have to go on a hunt! It jst drains me, at times I get so angry sometimes that I lost my comfortable, warm home, but I did and there is nothing I can do about it...sorry I dropped that on you and thank you for caring... and thanks to all of y'all for the great job... Here is something most of us can actually do to help someone, and it's one of our own. We can send things...good clothes we no longer wear. Towels, blankets, pots and pans. These things are expensive to buy, but light weight to ship, as opposed to food, which is heavy to ship. BUT IT COULD BECOME NECESSARY AS WELL. PLEASE...someone try to get an address. I am safe, we evacuated to Jackson and then to Memphis...don't really know where to next...possibility we will be staying up here for a while... To put it mildly__I have NO house to go home to, it is totally gone...I am in numb, in shock, it is so hard to believe...the only way really to communicate is online...I can usually get on the one in the lobby of the hotel that we are in, but not for very long...I miss being online with ya'll...take care and be safe... I was able 2 call my daughter but she was on the west side of the storm and didn't get much damage and she doesn't live in the city. My daughter lives closer 2 Lafayette but she hasn't been able to reach any of her friends. She says everything down there is a mess and cell phones are not doing well because the towers are down too.
