Hello everyone and happy birthday (early or late) . today is my birthday actually and the best thing I can say about it is that so far is that is boring and uneventful. the only birthday wishes I received are from my bank and a store that sent me a coupon for a discount. I guess sometimes birthdays just stink, but it is nice to see that there is a place where birthdays are remembered...so thanks!!!   I hope everyone else has a fantastic birthday.

For a group like this. I have tryed to find a way to be able to do this for Friends when a birthday allert comes up.I have tryed writing to friends of friends so I can send a birthday greeting to someone without having to ask them personally for thier contact details.

you mentioned that you delete a thread after only 3 days old... what if the person(s) we are puting messages for can't come to read them until, say, a week later?

First of all, I would like to thank those that started this group, what a great idea!!

Also want to say hello and to all the wonderful people who took the time out of their own lives to wish me a happy birthday this past Sat (Jan. 8th). It meant so much to get all the dynamite wishes!!! It really blew me away, and I am extremely touched (emotionally, not psychologically ), still am

I hadn't had a chance to see quite a few of them on the thread, and was offline yesterday busy planning my wedding which is in 5 weeks today, running a business, and trying to get the renovations to our duplex finished by March... So, you see, this is the reason I only get to pop on Care2 a couple of times a week, if that.

So, I was wondering if I am able to view the thread from 2 days ago, or was it deleted already? I looked in the archive folders and did not see anything at all there. Is it gone, like my birthday?

It's ok if it was.... I do have the messages themselves in my e-mail, though, wished to view the photos, etc.

Great idea to have a way to send Birthday wishes!  I know some of you have hundreds   of friends on your lists.

One way to know how to contact friends is to look at the 'friends request' email when you get one. The addy will usually be located at the bottom of the email. I save them to a folder so that I have them when the birthday alert comes up on my network mailbox.

There do seem to be quite a few December birthdays, mine among them.  I'm 31 (for a few more days, anyway. ), have been married for a little over 7 years, am getting an associate's degree in Library Science, adore books, and am very opinionated.  Those of you who know me may be able to add appropriate commentary to my description, as one's knowledge of one's self is not always the most accurate.

I just got an invite here and its a great idea!!! I'm in birthday mood at the moment, because I turn 21 on the 3oth (decemebr) and we are having a medieval feast on saturday night!!  And I've noticed that ironically most of my friends here are december babies too And one, Cara's, was on the 12th, and she could have really used some birthday cheer...
