Prehistoric Dogs Deeply Involved in Human Lives and Spirituality
Animals  (tags: AnimalWelfare, animaladvocates, dogs, death )
Michael - 3 hours ago - lifewithdogs.tv

Dogs appear to have been domesticated as far back as 33,000 years ago with dog burials beginning about 10,000 years ago. The burials reflect a deep bond with dogs being buried in close and apparently emotionally strong positions around human remains.

Hebrews - Descendants of a man named Eber.  Abraham was called a Hebrew, and so were his descendants.  When the Hebrews lived in Egypt, they began to be called the children of Israel.  (Genesis 11:16, 26; 14:13, Exodus 1:9)

If you go back and check the geneology - Ebner was a descendant of Shem.  Shem was a son of Noah.

Abel & Abigail

abel

Abel - the first son of Adam and Eve.  Able, a shepherd, pleased God by sacrificing a lamb to Him.  This caused his brother Can to kill him in a fit of jealousy. (Genesis 4: 1-5)

   His name means meadow.

Abel was a shepherd and a possessor of flocks and herds;  Cain was a tiller of the ground.  It was not occupation, however, that parted these first two brothers in the world, but their conception of what was pleasing and acceptable to God.

  abigail

Abigail - The wise wife of foolish Nabal.  Abigal's quick thinking and generosity saved her whole household.  After Nabal died of a heart attack, she married David. (I Samuel 25).

Abigail - meaning cause of joy.

Scripture gives no clue as to Abigail's parentage or genealogy.

Abigail was expressive of her sunny, gladness-bringing presence.

As a Hebrew woman was restricted by the customs of her time to give counsel only in an emerency and in the hour of greatest need, Abigail, who had risked the displeasure of her husband whose life was threatened,  did not act impulsively in going to David to plead for mercy.

Thinking of modern Abigails  the appropriate lines of noble Elizabeth Barret Browning -

The sweetest lives are those to duty wed

Whose deeds, both great and small, and close-knit strands

Of an unbroken thread; where love enables all.

  The world may sound no trumpets, ring no bells;

The Book of Life the shining record tells.

Aaron - 'A mountain of strength of enlightened.'

Moses older brother.  God used Aaron and Moses to bring plagues on Egypt to try to convince Pharoah to free the Israelites.  Aaron later became high priest of Israel.

(Exodus 7: 1 -7)

The son of Amran and of Jochebed of the family of Kohath.  Miriam was Aaron's elder sister and Moses was his junior brother by some three years.  Aaron married Elisheba, daughter of Amminadad and sister of Naashon, and by her had 4 sons, Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.  (Exodus 6:16 - 23)

It is somewhat fitting that Aaron should not only begin the list of men under the letter A-one of the longest lists of all- but also of all the men listed alphabetically in the Bible.

Aaron became the first high priest of Israel.   When Moses protested agains appearing before Pharoah, pleading that he was not eloquent, but slow of speech and of a slow tongue (Exodus 3:10).  It would seem as if God's promise that He would be with Moses mouth and was able to help him overcome any disability as a speaker, bears out the thought of an actual defect of speech.  This we do know, Aaron must have spoken with great power when he addressed Pharoah on the signs and plagues of Exodus four through  eleven.

Please add any comments to these great truths of the Bible.
