Peacock is shocked in India : ban its feathers trade Group History 3 months ago | Asia Peacock is a National bird in India and protected under the Wild Life Protection Act, 1972 but as per section 44 of this act, peacock feathers trade is allowed., Why demand of its trophy?. The International Organisation for Animal Protection - OIPA in India and People for Animals ( PFA) Haryana compaigning for protection of Peacock, who is shocked now in India. It isn't a problem if they're moulted feathers....my friend keeps peacocks, & she collects their tail-feathers.
