IAMS August 23, 2010 3:17 AM

Hi everyone,

This should be taken a good look. Would be nice if this would be spread.

How can a company that makes animal food, support such cruelty and care2 makes comercials for them. This is not ok, people should know.

Thanks for the Heads Up August 23, 2010 6:10 AM

Hey Buffy, I signed the Petition. I wanted to ask someone if they feel the same way as me. I can't read all the details in these petitions because I get violently upset to think of animals suffering. So I went with the title which pretty much said it all: "Iams performs cruel experiments on animals". I would like some advice. Should I force myself to read all the details in these petitions, so I can respond more effectively in my personal comments? Thanks

Absolutely force yourself to read the details of a petition before you sign it especially.  Its important that you know what you are supporting and putting your name on.

Petition signed and thank you for posting.

Dear.....

Please find below the response to your concern regarding Iams Products testing cruelty to Dogs and Cats.

We at Iams want pets to have the longest, healthiest, happiest lives possible as they grow up with their families. We know that Iams nutrition makes a real difference because we hear it from the thousands of pet owners who send us their stories. The dogs and cats in our studies help us know that the foods we create truly improve the health and well-being of millions of cats and dogs. We love and appreciate the dogs and cats that help us in our work to make pets' lives better. We make sure they are happy and healthy with plenty of playtime and attention for their entire lives. To that end, respected animal welfare organizations helped us develop this policy.

As an industry leader, we have established innovative policies, programs and practices that ensure measurable progress in dog and cat welfare and care
