I have decided to open a topic for posting thoughts about Furbabies that have passed on, and await us at the Rainbow Bridge. You may post pictures of them if you have them, write a memorial to them. Remember them as the loving companions they were. They have touched a special place in your heart, here is a spot to give them special recognition.
This is a picture of my baby Blaze. She was 5 when this picture was taken. She had just turned 16 a couple of months before she passed away.
She was mine and Louise's constant companion. She slept with us, traveled with us in the 18 wheeler all over the country. She left her mark in every state in the continental U S more than once. I remember when she was just a puppy, Louise and I were sitting in the living room watching T V when out of the corner of my eye, I seen Odie, a stuffed doll, coming down the hallway aparantly by himself. Odie was about twice the size of Blaze and you could not see Blaze. She was dragging him down the hallway, placed him at our feet, then cuddled up next to him and went to sleep. She always had a "baby" of some kind or another that she brought to bed with us. She was very protective of her babies also. You reach down and grab her baby and she would latch on to it with her paws and growl. As soon as you would let go, she would come over to be petted, then run back to her baby and woof, wanting to play. She never had any puppies of her own because she was so small, I would not breed her to any dogs bigger than her. By the time I had finally run across a male small enough to breed her to, she was too old. She always wanted to be a mommy though and always had her stuffed babies. We had a couple of dogs during the time we had her, and she would always mother them, "defleaing" them(even though there were no fleas). She was my good and faithful wolf right up to the end, passing away at my feet. She is now at Rainbow Bridge with her mommy Louise, who passed away a couple of years before, waiting for me to come home. One day I will again see both of my loves, Louise and Blaze and we will cross over Rainbow Bridge together, once again a happy family.
I now have two more additions to that happy family, that will one day join us, or I will one day join whichever comes first. My new wife Anna, and my new "daughter" Cheyenne. Not to mention my stepdaughter Ashley. Boy that going to be one great big happy family up there. Blaze,Louise, Cheyenne, Rosey, Susie, Mariah, Faith, Anna and Ashley. They are going to have to make a big mansion for us.
