Harper and the Canadian Government real piss me of (but then so do most governments and most people). For a country of their apparent sophistication they are really bloody minded (pardon the pun). My comment on that one:
"Our goal as humans should surely be co-existence. Co-existence with other humans, co-existence with our animal cousins. So why the need to slaughter bears ? What good does it serve. What legacy is Canada leaving. What example does Canada give to a world that is rapidly losing its inheritance that make this Planet so marvellous- the diversity of animal life.
Please look to the future and abandon this primitive approach to wildlife."
All done. Thanks again Val.
Thanks Simon and Val - and thanks for sharing your comments Simon. Got 2 really cute News stories - you have to see. With the the disgusting things I se and read - have to divert myself a little.

You are welcome Karina - need some laughs and smiles after all the "crap" I see.
Signed thanks, Val . Had a pig once. Elmer. He used to come into the house with the other animals. Extremely clean and smarter than a dog, which in turn means that he was a lot smarter than many people.

Thanks Val. All signed with comments. My day sees me swing from deep depression about what is going on (a permanent underlying condition for many years), to being totally pissed off to white hot rage. Everything gets at me, but when animals are tortured and killed for the pathetic vanity of people, then what can you say **!!#*. Cosmetic industry and fur trade. My comment on the latter was:
"Louis Vuitton projects an image of sophistication and luxury.
This is at odds with the company's support of cruelty to animals, particularly the use of fur.
I urge you , for one moment, to consider the image you have of Louis Vuitton, and then superimpose the image of skinned animals over that superficial image of sophistication. There is a serious mismatch here.
Faced with this few people could condone the current practice of supporting the fur trade."
signed them all
Thanks for the encouraging news posts, as well. All noted.
Thanks everyone - Cindy is here with us now. Some of you may know her.

Thank you Val, you do so much for animals. I do not think you have a clue how important you really are!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!! Hi Cindy, I think I do remember you from when I had the other profile. I was being really harrassed back then, because I was trying to help someone get money for she and her son. They were living on the street. Anyway, I got actually afraid, yes living in a wheelchair makes me a bit more leary of everyone, and I allowed two people to chase me off here. I am here to stay now. Love, Dawn P.S. I did not go back to the other profile because I lost the password and no longer have that email address. If you remember me Cindy, I had a starpower email address then. Welcome to this FANTASTIC GROUP. Love, Dawn
thanks Dawn - am in a hurry....
