It is alarming to see how many manufacturers are using fur. Was'nt that long ago that it was headline news with a string of "celebrities" speaking out against fur. But that is the way is it not-fashions change and anti-fur is not in. My rave on this one:
"Primitive man had no option but to wear fur, but with the vast array of synthetic materials now available, there is absolutely no justification whatsoever, for dealing in this foul trade, unless you enjoy torturing and killing animals.
The fact that you use fur in your products would indicate that the ethical standards of your company lag far behind more progressive and sophisticated enterprises
I respectfully suggest that that you cease this trade and wash the blood off your products.
Simon, I really appreciate you comments which mirror my thoughts exactly, you just do it more eloguently.
Thanks Danuta - clicked and added to my bookmarks - sorry guys about the double post above - was in hurry to walk Baby.

The accepted practice of local authorities to continually pick on unwanted animals and treat them like trash really gets up my nose. Today's target is using them for lab testing. I recall a local council in Australia doing a similar thing. Comment:
"Progressive organizations have abandoned the use of animals for testing. This is a practice of the past.
If there are unclaimed animals on the street , then it has been caused by lax enforcement of pet ownership laws. It is sickening that these animals of neglect should be further condemned to a short life of torture.
Please take responsibility, by not avoiding your moral obligations as responsible governors."

I'm pissed off again knowing that the wonderful Planet Earth is so polluted by filth such as I've just read about.
A couple of points. Krasimira (a Bulgarian) says that the Bulgarian Government has banned dog twirling). Still it happens and I said:
"Is Bulgaria living in the year 2011 or the year 1611 ?
Such actions by Bulgarian citizens marks the country as having a long way to go to catch up with modern standards of behaviour towards animals.
Some very sick people involved here."
I used to have great respect for Canada , but now see it moving towards the non existent animal welfare standards of Romania, Greece, Spain..you know the list. They are really committed to sinking to the depths with the wonderful Evangelical Harper at the helm.
"For a modern "sophisticated" country to engage in such insensitive, cruel and barbaric practices is a condemnation of the Canadian Government for allowing it to happen.
Still, the Government is happy to club seal cubs to death. What does this say about Canada as a progressive country ?
Wow these took me a long time but, I think I got most of them. I will recheck again tomorrow.
Absolutely, Simon...I just can't fathom how the Canadian can justify the continuous slaughter of seals at the needless and wasteful expense of its taxpayers. There's just no market for it anymore...It has been widely condemned...They've decimated the number of seals to such a horrible extent...It's incomprehensible why they persist...
Canadian government, that is...Sorry...Missed off a word...
