I had trouble finding direct contact email addresses for the minister of tourism and culture, but these below are what I could find for the offices of tourism and the US Embassy. If you find any other relevant contacts, post them in the comment boxes along with any comments you send to these entities so others may modify and use them:

This demonic, subhuman barbarity has been labled "culture" by Colombian authorities and has gone on for nearly a century with no intervention.
Colombia, like other countries around the world, relies on tourism to line its national wallet. This kind of animal cruelty and sadisme is not tolerated by tourists, they will stay away. The whole world knows about this now and your country's image is seriously damaged by this.

Heroic Donkey Keeps Buddies Calm and Safe in Colorado Wildfire
This is already posted in Care2 guys, but if I am allowed to post this as news, it is such a Outstanding Story about a Donkey called "Elle". Brought tears to me eyes for a happy ending for the animals she took care of!

Thank you Brenda - will be very busy for the next week! Daughter and grand kids coming up!
Can a story be done to help Liz out with Financial Help. She desperately needs our help, especially since she runs a Rottweiler Rescue.
I only have 68 friends on my friends list since I lost my profile after care2 was hacked so really don't have a good viewing audience.
What do you think?

http://www.caboodleranch.com/ urgent appeal!
-----------Example letter to adjust as you wish
Judge Gregory Parker
P.O. Box 1060
Madison, FL 32341
I politely ask you, Judge Parker, to overturn your ruling against the Caboodle Ranch.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VswBKrPuAQ Hardly any evidence in favour of Craig Grant has been taken into consideration.
Although the ASPCA claims it will hold an adoption event for these cats, many of the feral cats who were dumped by their original owners, and lived on this ranch, will be deemed ''unadoptable'' and be euthanized.
They are even seizing the owner Craig's six personal cats, one of which they have already killed because he had only three legs...! These cats were living healthy, safe, and fulfilling lives, under far more humane conditions than the conditions they have been living in before their stay on Caboodle Ranch and since they were seized by the ASPCA!
We cannot stand for this breach of animal rights, humane attitude and compassion towards those cats, a breach shown by PETA and the State of Florida.
These animals, and their dedicated care-taker, Craig Grant, are the victims now, as a result of the hate campaign of PETA and neighbouring landowners in the vicinity of Caboodle Ranch..
Example letter, to adjust..
The bottom line is that you contribute millions of dollars to the
University of Florida and they torture primates in archaic, fraudulent
“science” experiments. You must formally tell UF that you won’t be
donating another dollar until the ban primate testing- or you will be
exposed to the public for supporting the agony and death of baby
primates when non-animal alternatives are available. There is NOTHING
you can claim to do for children, families or society that makes this
OK. I await a response from you that includes a copy of your letter to
UF denying any further funding until they ban primate testing.
ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA:
- UF CHOOSES primate torture, most times using 2 and 3 year old
primate toddlers, when there are thousands of non-animal alternatives
available to teach and use right now.
- UF broke the law, was sued and lost when they refused to submit
their veterinarian records for the primates they have hurt.
- UF degrees will no longer hold the respect and influence they once
did. Until they end the ancient research using animals, no degree will
- UF refuses to ban primate testing while the rest of the world is
doing so in all universities. Because of this their own alumni dues
and support have begun to dwindle.
- UF has had up to 50 species imprisoned and tortured including, dogs,
cats, rabbits, etc. The USDA is investigating them for the
particularly savage abuse of a lab monkey who had no hip bone and was
still used for 17 years. The UF V.E.T.S. team drowned a horse while
trying to teach others how to save drowning horses- and they had a
privately donated “Rescue Randy” to use but didn’t. UF is also single
handedly “uneducating” the educated. They have a campus slaughterhouse
where students can learn butchering. Is that what you hoped your
donations would be teaching young minds?
As you can see, trusting UF with the care of animals is like trusting
a pedophile with the care of a kindergarten class.
There’s no way they can possibly “clean up their act” because they
have become very cruel and disturbed individuals. I know you wouldn’t
want to be associated with hurting animals or a university mired in
controversy. In order for you to not be compliant in these heinous
experiments, you MUST stop all money going to UF until they ban
Noted about The Bullfighting which is soooo terrible Val :-0 Tried to sign the petition but couldn't Thanx for all the posts

Horrifying Scenes of Feeding a Live Donkey to Caged Lions [18 ] - YouTube
Who on earth does this.......bastards all of them

I just saw a horrible video which shows an Iranian Zoo where donkeys are thrown to the lions alive, while stupid people are taking video of the animal's struggle to stay alive. The greek article I read, says that the zoo lions did not attack immediately because they are not used to chase and it took one hour before they started to kill the donkey. Evenmore the zoo employees do this in order to attract visitors to video these killing scenes! instead of feeding them with meat as practiced in all other countries.
This case of torture, abuse and inhuman practice against these poor animals is shocking. Please forward this everywere and perhaps, since I am really tied up at the moment, someone of you has the time to bring this story as an article and press the Iranian authorities to take measures ref. this situation.
Thanks to all
Hugs and love Athanassia
I hope you will research further and revoke your signatures!
The petition you signed is pro ORV--recreational activity in sensitive habitats and more than just the area referenced which is 26 miles of beach closed to ORV's for very good reasons. The Conservation and Economic Growth Act (Referred in Senate - RF[H.R.2578.RF now includes 13 bills rolled into one. Some of you already signed a petition against part of this bill that gives Homeland Security complete control of park and public lands along our borders.
Please read comments by Janet, Nyak and myself and go to this link for further info. [Sierra Club site includes link to actual legislation]:
Misleading HR 2578 Conservation and Economic Growth Act a bill nobody wants, looking for a problem nobody has
Quigley Speaks Out Against the Conservation and Economic Growth Act (H.R. 2578)
Excerpts from Sierra Club:
In his testimony for the Bureau of Land Management, Director Robert Abbey opposed the bill on the grounds of habitat inundation for numerous threatened species, including the yellow-legged frog and the limestone salamander. An increase in flood levels would also destroy the seed banks of sensitive plant species. Lastly, it would mark the first de-designation of a Wild and Scenic River to drown under a reservoir in congressional history, establishing a dangerous precedent for America’s 12,600 miles of federally protected waters. Making lake-like conditions out of the Yosemite Valley’s famous river would compromise its integrity for future generations and threaten current jobs.
“The Sierra Club is adamantly opposed to the misguided bills by Congressman Denham to delete a portion of the Merced River from its Wild and Scenic Status,” stated Alan Carlton, chair of the California Nevada Regional Conservation Committee of the Sierra Club. “Our wild rivers are a precious national resource, and there is no reason to remove even one inch from protected status—and certainly not to provide more water for large corporate interests.”
In a press release, Rep. Denham recognized that “we are dependent on water for jobs and to sustain our local economy.” Let’s not forget that many of these jobs depend on the scenic values of the river as it stands now.
