Nyack and I thought it might be a good idea for you all to have a tag from this group to add to your profile page. We'll start with this one. I'll make the tags and you do the snagging!
I'll also post some welcome tags to use on the New Members page. You might want to use those in other groups if you like.
I put the first one up on the homepage- thanks Lynn!
Great! Thanks, Nyack.
These are GREAT, Lynn! That winking bear is so adorable! I'd love to snag him! May I?
Of course, Betty. Whatever I post here is snaggable.
Thanks Lynn! I'm gonna grab him right now!
Good. Enjoy, Betty. I love making tags. It relaxes me and the time just flies by!
Got him! Just added him to one of my Care2 albums. Thanks again, Lynn!
Lynn I love all these Tags but don't know how to do this HELP!
Beautiful Lynn - wish I had more time to snap tags - love them - and thanks for all you do -
I love these tags so much! I couldn't resist -- had to come back this morning and snag the beautiful "No Cruelty to Animals" tag. I already have it proudly displayed on my profile page!
Don't feel bad Brenda, I don't know how to do this either....also need HELP please
Beautiful. Thank you Lynn.
I'm a member of Delphi forums. They make personal tags for free, I lost them when I put them in photobucket to save. I had a bunch of them. So really like this post. snagged some of them. thanks Betty.
Dianne I am a PC idiot, can't do this. Thanks anyway.
Val, thanks so much for the tag and thanks for the green star.
Dianne, thanks for the green star! I love that green star tag of Val's. Now, as far as the instructions for posting tags, thanks for your input but I think it's a bit convoluted for a novice to copying and pasting to understand.
I'm posting a few instruction threads from our Goddess of all Knowledge, Zen's group. This should explain to Brenda and Barbara exactly what to do to save and then post their photos. So Brenda and Barb, I expect you to look at these threads and before you know it you'll be able to post your own pictures! Good luck, my dears.
FROM THE GROUP "NEED HELP IN CARE2?"
Here are just a few of our help threads, there are many more..
they all are beautifull so I take them all
Wow Diane, I'm flattered. Enjoy them!
Oh, sorry Lynn, that I wrote such convoluted instructions. I'm not feeling well these days, didn't feel like reading and signing animal cruelty petitions, so spent some time trying to write up some instructions. That's how I learned how to do some things on Care 2 - my husband showed me how to do something and I wrote it down step by step and had to look at the written instructions a thousand times before it sunk in. Knew absolutely nothing when I started. I am anything but a person who understands computers. Just thought I'd try to help, but let's leave it to Zen, the Goddess of all knowledge as you say, on her group that you directed Brenda and Barbara to with the links. It's a great group. I'm sure Zen's instructions will be much easier to understand than mine. Lovely additonal graphics to tag and snag, btw.
Thanx Lynn Maybe I can do this some time Lol...Barb
Hi Lynn and Dianne I made a special File called Tag to Snag Lol When I have some time I plan on scrutinizing ..Thanx Barb Hugggs!!
Dianne dear, I know you're not feeling well and I really didn't mean to sound like I didn't appreciate the time and effort it took for you to write down the instructions. It's just that when someone doesn't know how to do something, the easier it is for them to write down instructions that are short and concise.
I don't do what you do to post a picture. I have a Photobucket account (it's free) with many albums in it.
I have the pictures saved to my pc under the heading My Pictures. Then I have separate folders with flowers, sea life, animals, etc. for ease to get to. When I get a new picture, or have made one myself, I immediately save to the proper folder in my pc, and then download it into my Photobucket album. Then I click on the picture I want, which enlarges it, right click on Copy and then bring it here or another thread, right click in the space and click on Paste and voila, I've got it done. The same can be done with a Care2 album.
Hi Lynn I was comming back to see if I can snag a few pictures
Yesterday I will upload photos and video in a Care2 album to put on profiles but the link shows up and that's all when I click the link I can see the picture or the video. Where did I something wrong ?
No worries, Lynn. I'm sure there's many ways to Tag & Snag and store photos, etc. I use Windows live myself categorize and store photos. And Barb - good start making your special file called Tag to Snag!!! This is turning into a computer thread now, Anyone with computer questions should join Zen's group Need Help in Care 2, from which you supplied the links 2 days ago. I know Zen keeps talking about starting an actual computer group, but so far, hasn't managed to do so, so any questions have to be sent to her Need help in C2 group. And it's always a good idea to look through the discussion topics first before asking a question, because many have already been answered and can be found on an already posted thread. I know-I've done that!!!!
I've never seen any instructions on there as to how to "Tag to Snag", though. I'd be interested to know if there are such instructions. I'll tell you something - I have no idea how to make one of your images that you so generously posted on this thread to share. I think a lot of us feel like this cute photo below, that even toddlers know more than we do about computers:
Diane, if you look at Zen's instructions on how to save photos in your Care2 albums, I'm sure it will help you to do it, step by step. Open this link:
How to upload and post images in Care2
Dianne, I don't know why a lot of your photos don't show up in the threads. Why don't you try posting from Photobucket or from your Care2 album?
I just made a few more tags for any of you who want them. I used the same image that I made and changed the text, borders, etc. Snag away! lol
I just snagged the "Hi Friend!" tag. ADORABLE! Thanks so much, Lynn!
Hi Lynn, I'm curious as to why you say many of my photos don't show up in threads. Do you see the "toddler telling Grandma what to do on the computer" that I posted just above your new newest tag thread,at the end of my post that starts out "No worries, Lynn? I see it when I look at this thread but maybe I'm the only one seeing it because I posted it? If you can't see it, then that would mean my method that I wrote all those instructions for doesn't work - which I thought was a simpler and quicker method of posting an image or photo on to a thread without having to post it into my Care 2 albums or into my Windows Live photo Care 2 graphics first.(I use Windows Live, not Photobucket to store my photos) If my images aren't showing up, I need to have that list of instructions deleted. So I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know if you see that toddler on the phone to grandma photo. I'd also appreciate it if you could look at my page and see if the winking teddy bear is the first image you see on my bulletin board. Maybe, once again, I'm the only one seeing it? Please let me know. Thx so much.
Ah hah! I think I've figured it out why some of my photos are not showing up. I have been using photos in emails as a source, using "copy image location" and posting via the method in my instruction list, without putting them in my Windows live photo storage first and then my Care 2 private album. This can't be done from emails. Any photos in gif. format, not jpg, don't seem to work either even after using WLive photo storage and posting in a Care 2 album. I couldn't get it to, anyway. My instructions as written above though do work if the image or photo is taken off of CAre 2, it seems though, as in the case of your tags. And if you use Firefox as a browser (IE uses another term, maybe "save picture as") So it is a quicker way to post without storing the photo or image in Photobook or WL first and then downloading to Care 2 photos. Your winking teddy & No Cruelty tags are on my BB, and I posted them using the method in my instructions because they were posted on Care2. But I think it's best that I get that post of instructions deleted, and you, Lynn, as Co Host can please do that, hopefully???
CAre 2 is very, very complicated and whenever I read one of the computer help threads, my head starts spinning. Your new tags are great, btw.
Dianne, the photos that you post and see on your computer come up as a square with a red x on my computer. I wonder how many of you can see Dianne's photos that I don't? Raise your hands. lol
In order to post a picture from emails you have to save it to your computer first. I found that out the hard way. I'll delete your post with the instructions, Dianne as per your request.
Glad you liked and snagged the Hi, Friend tag, Betty. I wish the rest of you gals were able to post - copy and paste. It's really easy once you get the hang of it.
If you don't hear from me for a few days, it's because of hurricane Isaac. It seems to be headed straight for us, starting with the Florida Keys. I'll be going to my daughter's house after I batten down the hatches here at home.
Dear Lynn thanks for your information
I went to the link you give and when I was on the other side I remember it.
Once I had troubles with my pc and bbecame a member. Later I asked how to put pictures on my page. Now I knew it how the fotos and the video came on my profile LOL . Last days I ask myself that question found the answer now.
Bye the way I snaged every tag you made last days
Diane, I'm so happy that you were able to go to Zen's group and remember how to copy and paste photos and videos. I'm also very happy that you snagged every one of my tags. Enjoy, dear friend.
Love, love, love the newest tags, Lynn! The "What time is it?" tag -- you must have sneaked into my house and snapped that picture of me and Ginger!!
Thanks, Betty. I'm always at the computer and I thought some other people might relate.
