My head piece to honor all Native Ancestors which is on both sides but is still not finished. It still needs to be filled in and once that is done I have a design to join both side around the back side crossing the base of my skull. My Turtle Island Shield which 1) honors one creation story and 2) the Turtle is an ancestral clan of my family. It was improved upon by Devo of the Laughing Buddha from an amateur outline to this in about five hours. Above it now sets the head of a white buffalo. It as took about five hours because Devo did the black and gray detail work first and followed with the white. Following the four directions will include the following: to the east will be an eagle; to the west will be a coyote; and to the south will be a bear. Each one will have detail work to it. This combination has the Four Directions in sun form and the Broken Feather stands for the Broken Promises made from past to present. This is one of our tattoo artists (Shane) who have done work on members of my family and me. Shane and his family adopted my wife and I as their parents and their children's grandparents. I have more tattoos and as soon as I get the pictures put on the web I will share them. All my tatts have meaning for me and some aid me to tell the story related to it.

Just some of my tattoos... February 05, 2009 7:37 AM
I have 12 tattoos in all. Some of which are not in this picture, this is 8 of the 12! The peacock in the bottom middle is now filled in with amazingly vibrant blues, greens, purple highlights, and yell and red.

Here is my trademard Sunflower, or at least it seems to be. Ha.
I also have Henri Matisse's doodle of a tree on my right tricep... and the Gonzo Fist on my right ankle.
I have plans already in the work for my next two.

I RECENTLY HAD MY TATT DONE AND ITS NICE LOOKING. THE TATTS THAT I HAVE SEEN SO FAR LOOK AMAZING. I WILL POST A PIC AS SOON AS I FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO IT.
Wow! some really nice art here...yay! Here's my new one...the meaning is "Honor Friendship" My husband has the same on his neck, just a different size and color...
This is my first tattoo. I had a hard time finding the appropriate kanji for this one. What's written is in Japanese "boseiai", which translates into English as 'maternal love'. The two reasons why 'maternal love' is first of all, I believe a mother's love to be one of the strongest and most sacred power in this world. And secondly, I knew that my mother could not stay mad at me for long if it was a tribute to her. She's still against the idea of me getting ink
This picture was taken about 4 or 5 hours after I got the tattoo. I am very happy to have it (it has personal symbolic meaning for me). I am worried right now though. I do not have a picture to show you (I will try to get one soon) but I have been noticing, what seems to me to be, significant color loss. This was a Mother's Day gift from my Husband, so it is not even a week old (it's still doing the flaky scabby thing). Anyway, my question is this, is it common for the tattoo to be looking like it is losing color or fading? Some of the side petals actually look like they have some bald spots (though they do look like they could be there on purpose, as part of the shading). I don't know, am I overreacting? This is my first tattoo (obviously). Thanks in advance for your input.
Sup fellas and ladies, I'm new to this group but I've been on care2 a while. However, I am not good at html. Or, whatever this is. So, wish me luck!:
.
My Thai shroom man, his name is Thunderclese. Long e.
Carrots are badass!! Don't you pretend!!
The book cover of "Coyote Blue" by Christopher Moore, great book.
I have one other, but I don't have a good picture of it yet. It is a small picture I drew for myself, on my hip. I cut my finger at the beach today so I am done typing for now!! Much love, lovely ink and happy tattooing!
I can't get my pic on here. This stinking insert image thing just ask me for an URL address. Can we not just upload them? Where is the upload button?

Here's one I'm working on now....it's gonna need another session--this is after the second. Not all the stamens are colored yet, and will need some touching up as I'm still an apprentice. This is # 48. This is the second tattoo I've done on this person.
These were done in 1990, they are on my right arm.. They were in a magazine once called 'Tattooing by Women' or something like that (I have the magazine packed away, so I'm not sure about the title.
In the other photo of me shooting, you can sort of see my left arms tats.
The artist was Daniela from Austria, who was in NJ at the time. Chris
I see where it says Insert Image but don't know what the URL would be. Thanx in advance for any help.
Nik,
What I do is I go to my album click on the pic I want to show on the group when the pic shows up on its own just right click then click properties. You will where it says address URL. Just highlite all that is in the space and then right click, then copy. Then go post your message as you would on the group. Click on the painting to insert a pic. Then paste the URL into the top space and then type a name for the pic on the 2nd line then click OK. and you will see the pic within this box. It sounds like a lot but its not really...
Thank you very much for your response. I will get them put into an album here in care2 as soon as I am done with this message for anyone that wants to go look at them. Hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend.

The pictures have to be posted on a website or somewhere else that has a web address. You can unload them into a Care2 album and use that I do believe. You just can't upload them from your computer straight to this group unfortunately. I hope that made sense.
Hello All, I am new to your site and wanted to say Hi and try to post some pics for ya'll to check out. I am a tattoo addict. I love everything about them. Terrified of a needle but give me a tat gun anyday. lol. Can someone explain to me how I can post the pics for ya'll to see? I have them saved in a folder in "My Pictures". I see where it says Insert Image but don't know what the URL would be. Thanx in advance for any help. Nik
LOL Natalie. This thread is a really old thread started by Kriss, the person who was the group owner before she gave the group to me... as well as some people who have left Care2 all together....so that's why there are so many missing pictures.

Unfortunately, I cannot see many of these pictures But the ones that I have seen are interesting and some rather impressive. I think that everyone should repost just for me (just kidding).
Very cool Purple, thats for sharing! Ahh the chest....that doesn't feel good. I'm about to start working on my chest piece again. I don't much care for the tattoo process of that area. LOL

I got this tattoo a few weeks after my Mom passed away....It is not a clear photo since I had to take the picture myself..but I have Mom's initials in the banner....
This is the only one I currently have in my album, but it's a pretty good one. If anyone's wondering, that line down the lower portion of the tat is a surgical scar. Kudos to the orthopedic doc for not mangling the work. It looks worse that it used to, due to the scar stretching over time.
That's awesome!! I need to get my chest piece finished. Ahhh, so many tattoos to get, so little time. LOL. Thanks for sharing your picture! Once my outlines heal and I get color put in (and re-done) I will post a picture of my arm.

LOL, dont you hate it when that happens?? My favorite ones that I would like to get a picture of and get posted are the back of my neck and lower back. I'll definitely have to get someone to take pictures for me.

Here's a picture of one of mine, it's not the greatest shot because it's on the outside of my calf, and I had to take the picture myself. I think I may have dislocated my hip*LOL* (gettin old ya' know)

Well, i don't have the pic of it here at work, and my boyfriend will help design it better to make it more unique for me, but it will be a simple outline of a slender cat, sitting up straight, with amethyst bejeweled eyes. I want it on my upper right butt cheek, just below where a t-back line would be, so very private area, only for me and my boyfriend to see. The idea for the cat is because we have a rich suburb here in Dallas, where use to work called Las Colinas, and my best friend calls me the Las Colinas Sex Kitten, so that is where I got the idea. LOL. I want another on my ankle, possibly as a anklet, since I am big boned and can't find anklets to fit, it will be the three wavy lines of the aquarius sign, and maybe, a pic of a dragon for my daughters chinese horoscope sign, and a rooster for my son, but that is still up in the air. Then again, I love calla lilies, so that is an option too.
...yeah...that one was probably the most painful thing i've ever done...good luck!!! but, i think it was worth it...and it healed super fast!

Love your lotus! That is my next tattoo... I want a big lotus flower with other flowers down the side of my ribs. I hear that's a sensitive area though.
Kriss, we are lotus sisters!!! haha...this is the one on my stomach...my idea was to allude to the hindu creation myth, the lotus growing from vishnu's navel...i think what i like the best about this one is that i sketched it out, and the artist used that sketch. that's a good feeling. i'll see if i can dig up some pictures of my other tatoos.
Hey Pamela. You can create an album on your care2 network and put your pics in there. The album option is a tap up top on your "My Care2 Connect" page. Or if you have a web server... you have to put the direct URL. I have a web server... so if you have a few pics you want me to post here for you... email them to me at: admin@protectwolves.org and I'll get them posted for you.
Well, here r a couple of pics of my tattoos. The 1st one I got was The Brain, from Pinky and The Brain in summer 1996. He's holding some glass devices we use in chemical eng. labs. That is my fav cartoon and it also is a reminder of how important my career and getting into college is.
The sencond one is a flower, I got it after I passed the 1st semester at college...U've no idea how hard it was!!! HEHEHEHE....So, that one reminds me of the thought that u can achieve anything u want...
Let's see some of your tattoo pictures! I have about 13 tattoos right now and I'm craving more! My favorite tattoo is on the group homepage. It's a jaguar and her sleeping cub. It's on the top of my foot! OUCH!
Here is a pic of the clover I did myself. It's on my heel.
Here is a lotus flower on my inner forearm.
This is the original Wizard of Oz logo. I'm a Wizard of Oz junkie! This is on my ankle.
This is a wolf on my shoulder. I have a passion for wolves!
Some other tattoos I have is a Celtic wedding ring. A self portrait drawing my daughter drew of herself when she was 4. Another wolf on my ankle with flower and paw prints going around my ankle. Two toe ring tattoos. A flower wrist tattoo... and more! I'll post more pics again another day.
