LOL Thanks for the warm welcome!
As for "cooking for one" I have discovered 'Glad bowls" I just made spaghetti today. I ate it for lunch and then put four or five servings of sauce in the freezer for 'next time' Did the same on Wednesday with vegetable soup. That practice is really handy for days when my knees are aching and I don't feel like doing much of anything.
(I damaged my knees several years ago and must use crutches. There's a lot of pain associated with it and some days I just don't feel like standing to cook--That when those individual frozen things come in handy!!)
Welcome to the group, Vondi! By all means, grab some recipes for your daughter-in-law!
[Just a note; if there is an interest by either you or others here, I can create a "Cooking for One" (or some such thing) topic and start adding recipes that I find or convert...]
Hello, All. My name is Vondi and I just found you! I've given up cooking by and large, since I live alone. But my daugther-in-law is an inveterate new recipe trier! ( so I'll be copying some for her, if that's OK.) And I still like to read them
I think I'll enjoy visiting here!
I've just arrived which may revive someone
Golly Sharky, what would you like. What could you use. I am an American who hs been living for a long time in the Netherlands. That means I can give you American as in Navajo taco's or all sorts of wonderful muffins or I can give you dutch cookies or traditions or soem russian one. Really good brownies, or Indonesian food or take off on.... give me a hit .
I just got a recipe which involves artichoke hearts, parmazan cheese, garlic and mayo. It is baked in the oven for 20 minutes and is a great dip/spread.
