Does India deserve big cats like the leopard?

2011 - 356 leopards were killed in 365 days in India. 2012 - the number of dead leopards is even increasing. The cheetah was the first big cat to get extinct in India, the tiger still is very much endangered, but in the way it is going now leopard will be the next big cat to get extinct in the wild in India. Unless..... With this petition we like to draw your attention to the every day increasing conflicts between villagers and leopards in your country. By this so-called mob-mentality, as well as by poaching, hunting, speeding cars, last year (2011) 356 leopards lost their lives in 365 days, and this year the numbers are even increasing. Please show you care, and offer your help to firstly let the people live peacefully close to the leopards by educating the local people how to behave, and secondly to try and save what's left of the numbers of leopards in India. Cheetah is already extinct, tigers are still very much endangered, but in this way leopard will be the next big cat to get extinct in your country. We, supported by all people who signed this petition, cannot just let this happening. We respect this great cat too much - and it is about time you start doing this as well! Please sign and share, thank you.

Thanks Thorsten.

Well, it seems I've already Signed this. Of course India doesn't even care about their people, so much less for animals which are Icons of theat ancient country. They should use them as a Tourist attraction instead then they make money and the Big Cats get to Live.  Meanwhilst.. HAPPY EASTER to everyone. xo
