Our Destiny November 10, 2004 5:36 AM

Each human being is a fragment of the Divine. Her/his destiny is to bring out in life this divine possibilty.

Our essential nature is expression of the Divine, the truth of our being. If each of us does what is appropriate to her/his nature, she follows the law of her being. Then all that is essential for the world will be done without conflict.

But we rarely do what we ought to do. So long as our work is done in accordance to our nature, we are righteous, and if we dedicate our work to God, our work becomes a means of spiritual perfection.

Destiny November 16, 2004 2:35 PM

In my class which studies the book 'A Course in Miracles' we begin with a prayer and by saying "we breathe in God and we breathe out into God." I find this prayer/concept helps me feel very close to God. I have always believed we are a part of the whole of God, however, trying to visualize the breathing in and out into God really makes it much more 'real' for me.  I also believe and agree that we honor God when we live our lives according to our skills, beliefs, etc. I cannot help thinking that part of the reason (if not all of the reason) there is so much fear, anxiety, war and unrest in our world these days, is because we are not living according to what we know is correct. We are not living with love, acceptance, joy and peace in our hearts.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

The Divine Plan December 03, 2004 2:29 AM

Hullo Everyone,

The Divine plan is a given as far as I am concerned. If one reads the works of Alice Bailey, relating to the Spiritual Hierarchy, Shamballa, initiations, the Rays and such one cannot help but feel that there is a plan which is being urged along by others more highly evolved than ourselves.

We here are being encouraged to express our best we are able to be - that is God manifest in my humble opinion.  As we reincarnate each life time we agree to move onwards and upwards in our journey of spiritual growth ever endeavouring to allow the Divine within to outwardly manifest.

The journey of life is an ongoing process of evolving.

Let us allow our light to shine on this precious earth of ours.

Peace to all.

Dear Elizabeth F December 15, 2004 5:50 AM

Welcome to this Group. Please feel free to add your valuable opinion, your understanding, to this topic which is of immense importance to the living (animals and other living creatures included) and the non-living, the movable as well as the immovable.

Your statement, " The journey of life is an ongoing process of evolving" is very well expressed. One could go further and affirm that this 'process' extends beyond one's short span of present life. The theory of rebirth rests on this premise.

Just as a grass-hopper when it has come to the end of a blade of grass, finds another place of support, and then draws itself towards it, similarly this 'Inner Being' after reaching the end of her/his mortal existence, finds another place of support and then draws itself towards it (a new body).

Good people attain covetable births and evil people attain miserable births-- Heaven and hell belong to the world of time, they are stages on the journey through time, to a successions of births. By virtuous acts she/he furthers her evolution. The reward of growing in purity of heart is to gain a clearer vision of reality.

Thank you Rahan January 02, 2005 8:02 AM

Destiny to me is the full expression into form of the God within into the outer reality.  By that I mean that destiny is for us all to be the  God that we are, individually, fully realised, fully expressed, fully exemplified.

As hue-man (spiritual) beings,(for that is what we are) we spend most of our time doing first and foremost... and not being first and foremost.

When we be-come (realise, express, exemplify) in form, what in truth we already are, then and only then are we in a position to do/act. And the doing will be by example.

Blessings,

Elizabeth

Dear Elizabeth F. January 03, 2005 8:39 AM

Thank you for the Wisdom you've shared with us. Your statement, "we spend most of our time doing first and foremost... and not being first and foremost."  expresses common errors, in many of us.

We tend to ignore our Inner wealth. The Divine dwells in the inmost of every person and cannot be extinguished. The Inner Light, the concealed Witness that endures and is imperishable. It is the principle of human life.

God's purpose for the World or the Cosmic Destiny for human beings is the realisation of the immortal aspiration through her/his mortal frame, the achievement of Divine life through her/his higher Consciousness in one's mortal frame (one's body).

For Me:

To been able to find my destiny and embraced I had to look inner and not outward.

Usually we find for the answers or solutions outside of ourselves instead of inside.

Who knows you better than Yourself? who has all the memories imprinted from previous lives and before you came to this one if not your Self?

Once you discover your destiny you have a choice to finished or play around and be pushed to finished later on in life or in another lifetime.

this are just my thoughts.

Love to all

I believe in living in the moment.
The past is gone, we can't change it.
The future is not ours, until it becomes the moment.
We do have the choice as to how the next moment will be, by our actions in this moment and our plans for the next...
Only God knows the future and it's outcome.
We must make the right choices in life in order to reach the higher plain.
That is how I believe.
Now, I must put it into action...

Humor and Inspiration May 09, 2005 10:52 AM

Both seem to reflect joy, not always, but certainly when love is kept in my heart. My journey in this life, has indeed, seemed like more than one life, lived between the cradle and grave. But I still remember with gratitude my moments of clarity... Like the time, when I truly and thoroughly understood that "I HAVE A CHOICE", I took that mantra to heart and felt divinely blessed, the utter astonishment and joy at knowing how free I truly was, and how I only needed to embrace my inner freedom, to live the life I know I should. I felt no more friction from the shackles of dogmas, and knew instinctively how utterly responsible I was for my own life. OM Shanti Holly  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

The Infinite Wisdom of Age.... May 10, 2005 5:19 AM

....has recently been my environment as a provider intimate care for my mother and her surviving siblings.  The theme that has continually been expressed amongst these octogenarians, is that it is the relationships in our lives and their resulting memories that endure.  This causes me to ponder....that if this is ultimately what is carried with us as we move toward the light, then shouldn't our interactions with one another also be a major focus of our lives?   Shouldn't we take care to absorb those intimate moments thoughtfully, in the course of following our inner directed path?

Dear Joanne May 12, 2005 5:50 AM

Thank you for your valuable post. We all agree that we should concern ourselves with the present, live in the present moment.

But the present does not create its own truth. The present moment is a 'time' fact, the present Age. The embodiments (our bodies) and places are the changing, but the truth is unchanging, deathless, and was never created, It is/was always present, not affected by time and place. It cannot be created nor destroyed, ever.
