Cancer...Whomever is affected by that, friends, or do you cope? October 10, 2011 11:48 PM

Welcome to my group. and

I want to open up a subject that so many go through.

I am going through this with my fiance.

It is Lung cancer and inoperable....stage 4...I want to keep my spirits up and his.

He starts treatment maybe next week.

I don't know what I can to handle this. can anyone chime in with their experience if it isn't too touchy a thing.

None of us are unapproachable to this ~ October 11, 2011 7:07 AM

Hi Jandi ~ Thanks so much for the invite ~ I appreciate it so much.  Let me start off by saying that I'm so sorry about your fiance's condition.  It's horrible for him to be going through this and for you as well.  We hate to see our loved ones being hurt.

I'm going through kidney cancer right now but trying to keep a positive attitute although as I'm sure you are aware ~ some days are just tougher than others.  Don't even want to get out of bed.

Best wishes to the both of you at this time as well as my prayers.  Every little bit helps to try and enjoy something of every day.  Smile even though you don't want to ~ you'll be surprised how much easier it will make his day and by that ~ yours too.  God bless the both of you.

Thank you October 11, 2011 7:03 PM

Thank you De for your kind words...I am so so sorry to hear of your condition.

I am trying as you have suggested to be cheerful and smile and keep each day as a gift and our spirits up.  However some days it is hard of course as you said.

He is starting Chemo in about a week...first they put him on vitamin B12 injections and Folic acid for a week before...then they start the chemo.

He is in Oregon where he lives, I am back home in Cal.  I am going for my annual checkups I am late for by about 6 months or so.  then I will join him up there.

Finally I find the best person for me in my life and happens.  I am blessed anyway.

Thank you dear friend for your words, again.

Big Hug and take care

anonymous Hi, update on my fiance and his cancer January 19, 2012 12:29 AM

It is now a new year and he is going thru his 6th chemo in a few weeks.  The tumor isn't shrinking , and it isn't growing..they will try another medicine next time he gets his chemo.  Tis a hard situation to go through.  We try to keep a positive attitude.

On the other hand...was told that I have somthing wrong with my right kidney...but the doctor said nothing to worry about...will make appointment next week.  I hope it isn't anything bad.

My prayers go out to anyone who is going through cancer. it is awful.

loving hugs, Jandi

I have been watching Dr. Oz and reading alot and other Doctor shows....and learning alot about prevention of illnesses.

I just started a Health and Diabetes group I can share information that I have gotten recently..and see what others say about thereselves.

I will keep you in my prayers.  Take care dear one and keep in touch .

Lovingly, Jandi
