On Saturday, thousands attended rallies around the nation seeking "justice" for Trayvon Martin.
But not a single rally was held for any of the countless victims of gang violence that takes the lives of young black males on a regular basis.
MRCTV visited the "Justice for Trayvon Rally" in Washington DC and asked people why Trayvon gets all the headlines while victims like 16-Year Old Dayrrl Green are ignored by Al Sharpton and the mainstream media.

Personally, I am totally disgusted with Rev. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson who ignore the real plight of the black community and focus on one single issue: the trial of Zimmerman and they incite emotion that justice was not served.
the jurors followed the law and it is about time that other issues regarding the black community e.g. gang violence, drugs, etc. be addressed.
I always thought the judicial system was suppose to be for justice for society. It's not just the Trayvon Martin case that ends up being turned for justice for the victim without any thought given to justice for society. I'm not bothered by Sharpton or Jackson inciting emotions because I think possibly sooner or later those that do it will hurt themselves with the rest of society getting fed up with it and hopefully a way to come together with differences will override protesting so finding solutions will be more important then crying about everything.
