Agree, they have no understanding in their wrong doing. All what counts is money and business.

Paul Watson - New York Times and Der Spiegel

It has been a very successful media week for Sea Shepherd. The highlight
being the Front Page headline story in the New York Times entitled
Hunting Down a Fish Poacher by Ian Urbina. This article has been picked
up by numerous other media outlets internationally. Yesterday we had a
major feature in Der Spiegel, the largest newsmagazine in Germany. The 4
page feature article by Philip Bethge is entitled Die Wal-Kampfer and
covers Sea Shepherd campaigns in the Southern Ocean and the Faroe Islands.

RT, M6 and the BBC

The Faroes campaign has captured headlines around the world and I've
done quite a few television and radio interviews including RT in the
USA, M6 TV in France and the BBC today.

The greedy interests of the very few who enrich themselves ravaging the life seas have turned his main defender, captain Paul Watson, a fugitive from the supposed "justice". They are using no other than the courts of the country that boasts itself as "environmentalist", which chase him for nearly thirteen years with a judicial cause invented by illegal shark fishermen and supported by illegal fishing mafias who kill marine wildlife in cold blood and without restrictions. It's time to say "ENOUGH" to such injustice!

https://www.irehr.org/issue-areas/treaty-rights-and-tribal-sovereignty/653-sea-shepherd-announces-revival-of-campaign-against-makah-treaty-rights

On March 11, 2015 Sea Shepherd founder and reality TV star of Animal Planet's Whale Wars, Paul Watson, announced that Sea Shepherd Legal (SSL) will make a presentation at an April 27 hearing in Seattle, Washington. The hearing is being hosted by the National Marine Fisheries Service to follow-up on its February release of a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEI addressing a request by the Makah Tribe to exercise their treaty-reserved right to hunt whales. A second hearing will be held April 29 in Port Angeles, Washington. Paul Watson declared that "permission [to hunt] should not be granted" and claimed that "SSL is also exploring legal avenues of opposition to this proposal."

Judge Kozonski should be removed from office. He is a disgrace to the United States. Clearly the Japanese are engaged in ILLEGAL whaling operations and this judge's behaviour is sending out a message to the world that America approves of whaling. Sea Shepherd are doing what the powers that be are neglecting to do and they have most people in the world on their side. Japanese whalers are criminals and pirates and it is time those countries obeying international law put a stop to them. I wish that they had been torpedoed and sunk because that is what they deserve for murdering whales.

Sea Shepherd at the Heart of a Japanese Scandal

It appears that the Sea Shepherd campaign to stop illegal Japanese whaling
operations in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary is having a serious
political impact in addition to the massive profit losses by the whaling
industry. Last week, the Japanese media reported that the whalers lost
$20.5 million dollars USD last season because of Sea Shepherd interventions.
This story was also reported in The New York Times and in the current
edition of Newsweek.(.)

.the allocation to oppose Sea Shepherd was one of the most blatantly
disconnected misuses of the funds. The $30 million has been earmarked
towards a public relations campaign against Sea Shepherd, to a lawsuit filed
in the United States seeking an injunction against Sea Shepherd, to
pressuring Costa Rica to resurrect a decade-old, previously dismissed charge
against Captain Paul Watson and also pressuring Interpol to issue a 'Red
List' notice for Captain Watson. Funds were also allocated to provide for a
security ship to accompany the whaling fleet..

Japan police arrest German anti-whaling activist

Japanese police have arrested a 25-year-old German activist on suspicion of damaging a statue of a whaler in the town of Taiji, western Japan, a spokesman said.

Nils Greskewitz, who police say is connected to militant environmentalist group Sea Shepherd, allegedly bent the harpoon part of the statue in Whale Beach Park on Monday, a force spokesman said.

Reports said he had been hanging off the harpoon part of the statue.

The German, who has been in Japan since Friday and had joined anti-whaling protests in the town, told police he had no intention of damaging the statue, Jiji Press said, quoting investigators.

The bronze statue, three metres (10 feet) high, was built in 1998 at the local park featuring a whaler throwing a harpoon from a boat, local media said.

The town drew worldwide attention after the Oscar-winning 2009 film "The Cove" showed how dolphins are corralled and slaughtered there. Activists continue to visit the town to protest.

Captain Paul Watson: An Odyssey for the Whales

It is September 10th and I have been free from Germany now for 50 days

I can’t say that it has been unpleasant. As a matter of fact I don’t think that I have had the opportunity to enjoy nature so much in years. The number of species that I have seen up close in person over the last month and a half has been awesome and to me that is the true value of being alive – to see, hear, smell, taste and touch the natural world, to be amongst the dolphins and whales, seals and turtles, birds and fish, to experience life above, upon, and below that great and mysterious cradle of life we know as the sea.

And to see the stars at night, the broad infinite sparkling belt of light twinkling mysteriously from the past, to see meteors burning into fiery dust in the sky, the green flash of the sun as it dips into the sea, a cloud burst showering the decks with the crystal clear lifeblood of the Earth.

Sometimes we forget just what it is we defend and it is refreshing to be reminded about what it is all about, what really counts, what really matters...

Protest Sea Shepherd Leader Paul Watson’s Extradition on Shark Poacher and Whaler Accusations

Paul Watson, the founder and leader of the aggressive and highly effective marine conservation group “Sea Shepherd” – known mainly for disrupting whale hunts, documented on the reality TV program “Whale Wars” – has been detained in Germany at the request of Costa Rica, which wants him extradited on trumped up charges from shark fin poachers and whale killers. Ecological Internet strongly supports Sea Shepherd and their forthcoming “global campaign to save sharks from extinction”. We agree with Captain Hammarstedt that “Captain Paul Watson belongs on a ship on the high seas protecting sharks, whales, and other marine life, not in some jail cell here in Germany.”

Urgent Call to Sea Shepherd Supporters - Help Save Captain Watson from Extradition to Costa Rica!

In shocking news, German officials have decided to proceed with the extradition of Captain Watson to Costa Rica.  Our last hope of saving Captain Watson from extradition is to convince German officials at the Ministry of Justice to step in and overturn their decision.  Show your support for Captain Watson by contacting Sabine Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger, the Federal Minister of Justice in Berlin, Germany.  Let her know that the warrant for Captain Watson's arrest is politically motivated and thus should be ignored by the German government.  With international support we can set Captain Watson free, and keep him from the possibility of facing an unfair trial in Costa Rica.

Sample Letter:

Dear Ms Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger,

I was very concerned to hear that Germany has detained Sea Shepherd's Captain Paul Watson for possible extradition to Costa Rica.  I understand that the warrant for Captain Watson's arrest is politically motivated and possibly due to an incident in which Sea Shepherd uncovered an illegal shark finning operation.

I support Sea Shepherd's efforts to monitor and publicise illegal fishing and whaling around the world and recognize that some illegal fishing operations try to use international law to shut down the Sea Shepherd operations.  I urge you to consider the valuable work Captain Watson and Sea Shepherd are undertaking globally to highlight the dangers to our oceans in considering this extradition request.

Sincerely,

Your Name.

Yes Monika , what a stupid target.

I think Watson know he is arrested and will be free.
It has to go to the German Justice.
Mailed the petitioners.

I know now ,that Costa Rica traded enormous number of sharks.
See Shepherd has exposed that. And that ,Costa Rica do not like so much!
