I agree with you Lenicka I don't really understand it either. The kennels need some investigation. I'll see if anyone knows them.
Definitely something not right about the kennels.
Yes Jan , there is a lot wrong with a lot of the kennels and shelters. And if they give Barney to people without an investigation , thats very bad and unforgivable and cost Barney's live.
But the owner had to investigate better how the rules are in that kennel. The fact that Barney still had the information in the chip of the former owner is a bad sign.
A good shelter or kennel remove that information and give the information of the shelter in the chip.
Here , the shelter is the owner of an animal also after adoption. The animal is a lifelong the animal of a shelter. Thats the only way you can become an abused animal back. But , in my country it's a sleeping law. Not very strong unfortunately. ( As all the animal laws are here) But , I have always the right to ask my animals back when I see that they have a bad life. And a adopter is not aloud to place the animal to another address without my permission. It's happens. Some nice people are not nice anymore when they become children , or a new partner.
The kennels website had disappeared when I checked last night but I don't really think Barney was appreciated enough either by his owner what ever she might say now.Why leave him unattended in the garden if she knows he can get out? Sorry but that is my opinion. Carelessness cost Barney his life as well as the bad kennels.
