The above picture is my inspiration
Almost 10 million Marine animals are dying from plastic, helpless and innocent animals are dying because we franctially aren’t getting involved in stopping it
You see cartons for yougurt products are small, which is very convenient but this means that this carton is therefore made up of many different chemical, making it difficult to recycle. There are however businesses and places looking into using bio plastic made up of plant based substance and even animal waste.
So don’t you want to be the first yogurt business in South Africa to take the stand to get rid of yogurt cartons!
All done . Thank you Kate and Marilyn
If Nestle had even a fraction of the amount of ethics that Nestle has in those bottles they would be a better company.
Again lagging behind. Trying to catch up

Already done Kate thanks

These big events always take precedence of what is right. I am sick of most things that humans do.
Oh yes, I know about oaks Marilyn. They are tenacious buggers and I dig them up along with the sumacs which are not as big but spread and are also tenacious. It is a job in itself. There are enough oaks in the woods for the squirrels to eat from.

Agreed about oaks Kate, they are beautiful trees with very very strong roots
However you can't have them growing in the house unless you would like to have a tree house??
Stand up for Great Gray owls today. US only it seems.
I camped here many years ago and it is beautiful. Thank goodness all this traffic was not there then.
It does not seem I can sign the patent one but did the others. How stupid can we get?Marilyn? Does the word infinite mean anything?I ahve many oaks here and they are prolific. I am surprised they are not trying to grow in the house. I love them but have to pull them out and they are tough to get out.
Signed all. Thank you Marilyn and Monika
In 2017, in the water protection zone of the Verkh-Neuinsky Reservoir - the only source of drinking water supply in the closed city of Novouralsk - 900 meters from the water intake, in the former camp site of Rosatom "Verevkin corner", as a result of the decision of the Duma of Novouralsk urban district No. 90 dated June 29, 2016 and signed on the basis of the resolution of the Administration of the NGO from August 31, 2016 No. 1905-a, construction of a cottage microdistrict began and there was a continuous cutting of 8 hectares of forest.
The irreparable damage to the amazing corner of the Urals nature - the favorite resting place for families of employees of the Ural Electro-Chemical Combine. A potential danger of contamination of the Upper-Neuinsky Reservoir as the only source of drinking water supply for the 80,000-strong closed administrative-territorial formation with all the ensuing consequences for the country's defense capability is created.
Agricultural corporations are tearing up nature - and securing patents for fruit and vegetables. This is actually banned since 2017, but the regulation has a gap. SPD Minister Katarina Barley can now close this loophole when she advocates on the Board of the European Patent Office on 27 June.
Up to date dear Monika thank you!
Both Oaks and Boababs are trees which live for many years. This ought to make
people respect them more!! Sadly however roads parking lots, supermarkets etc are more important!! How stupid can we get!
All these trees and all because of us. Climate change? Is that real? Sorry, I get sarcastic. Scott Pruitt, on a side note, is being told by a judge that he must prove that climate change does NOT exist. Good luck with that one, Scott.
International scientists have discovered that most of the oldest and largest African baobab trees have died over the past 12 years.
They suspect the demise may be linked to climate change, although they have no direct evidence of this.
The tree can grow to an enormous size, and may live hundreds if not thousands of years.
The researchers, from universities in South Africa, Romania and the US, say the loss of the trees is "an event of an unprecedented magnitude".
This was posted by Desanka in another topic:
When it comes to old trees, in Serbia we don’t preserve treasures of nature.
The largest and oldest tree in Serbia had found itself in the middle of the new highway. Volume of the oak was 7.5 meters, spread over an area of 4 acres and it had 40 meters tree top. Sadly, every day we destroy our nature oasis instead to cherish them!
Catching up petitions! thank you Ladies

Caught up here.
Thermal pollution is the common term used to describe the environmental effects of the discharge of heated cooling water from industries and steam-electric powerplants. Thermal pollution has been defined as "… an increase in water temperature which will or is likely to render the waters harmful to public health, safety, or welfare, or to a legitimate water use, or to cause a nuisance as a result of increased biological activity". This increase in water temperature has in the best cases modified life processes of aquatic animal life, and in the worst cases caused significant heat induced deaths among these animals.

No Oil Drilling On Waorani Land!
Read the letter, sign it an watch the video!
We are Waorani and we have always lived in the Amazon rainforest. Drilling for oil within our territory threatens everything that matters for our people.
We do not recognize what the government calls Oil Block 22. Our forest homeland is not an oil block, it is our life.
Our message to the oil companies: Our land is not for sale.
During the manufacturing and transportation of plastic water bottles, there are 82.8 grams of carbon dioxide that is emitted. When this number is multiplied by the number of by the number of water bottles we use, 46 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide is emitted every year. This leads to climate change, thus affecting everyone's future. This petition is to raise awareness about the Nestle extraction plant in Ontario. We want to stop them from using our groundwater resources to commit environmental crimes. Help us to attract the government of Canada and prohibit water extraction in Canada.
Water extraction in Canada only? This should be global!!!
