How cute dear Lisa. I'm home with my old pup. My truck is safe in the driveway and good thing I went to the store yesterday because we have a Winter Advisory with snow, rain mix, ice and strong winds up to 50 mph gusts. It's already started. I lost power once, just got back on. I still have 1 and a 1/2 hours to go till next year, which is just another day. I pray it will be better for all of us and the animals. Hugs to everyone. Vinnie and Dottie . xoxo

Tasunka, what's wrong with your furbaby? I hate when they get sick and can't tell you what's wrong. I hope he/she feels better very soon. Frozen yogurt might be better than chicken soup!!

And wishing you, all of my dear friends, a very happy, healthy New Year. May your New Year be filled with love, laughter, peace of mind and wishes come true!

Siouxz, I hope your baby is feeling better by now. I too would rather be eating frozen yogurt than chicken soup. I guess I'd have to settle for tofutti or something similar tho. Whatever works. Ditto on the wishes Lynn. Every year I say "Maybe this is the year" I'm not sure what I'm wishing for tho. Here's wishing everyone a wonderful & prosperous New Year!

HAS CONTRACTED VALLEY FEVER.....NATIVE TO AZ.CA,AND MEXICO.

THE COMPLICATION ARISES,BECAUSE THIS CAN BE A LIFELONG DISEASE...

ONLY GET IT HERE...UNFORTUNATELY,THE DOCTOR AT THE ANIMAL HOSPITAL HE WENT TO ON NEW YEARS,WITH 104 FEVER....HAS BEEN HAVING AN ARGUMENT WITH THE RADIOLOGIST,THERE

HE THINKS,THERE MAY ALSO BE A PRESENCE OF PNEUMONIA...

IT'S ALL UP TO ME.TO FIND OUT HOW TO HEAL HIM, AND WHAT HE'S GOT.

THE VALLEY TITER IS A BLOOD TITER TEST,AND CANNOT BE QUESTIONED...

IT'S THE NOT KNOWING ABOUT THE COMPLICATION OF PNEUMONIA,THAT HAS ME WORRIED TO DEATH....THANKS FOR THE CONCERN,MY FRIENDS

WILL KEEP YOU POSTED.

EITHER WAY....VALLEY FEVER TAKES AS LONG AS TWO YEARS TO HEAL, AND MAY HAVE TO BE MANAGED LIFELONG

Oh, Siouxz I feel so sorry for both you and Fyre. The poor furkid can't tell you how he's feeling or if it hurts and you have to go with your gut to find out how to heal him. To make matters worse, there's a disagreement between the vet and the radiologist. What a mess! Is Fyre able to eat a little more than the frozen yogurt? I hope you can get him better very soon, for both your sakes. You must be so worried.

My son-in-law's dog has MRSA. I didn't even know an animal can get it and it's so resistant to most antibiotics. My s-i-l is watching poor Nikita (everyone calls her Smooch 'cause she's so kissy) around the clock and has taken her to a specialist. Lotsa money down the tubes because the inflammation keeps coming back. I pray for both Smooch and Fyre to have complete recoveries. Fruddie kisses to you and Fyre from me and Mandy.

am nervously awaiting a call from the primary (non-hospital) vet, that saw me through the death of my last pup at 2,from an inoperable brain tumor.
Trying to stay strong for fyre's sake, dying inside, everytime he moans,or coughs.
Don't think I'll do very well,if fyre is not curable,or at least manageable,so I can at least spoil him with tlc,for his entire life...really need for him to get better.
unfortunately, valley fever can last a lifetime....and I could have it,,and not even know it.

Oh Siouxz, I'm so sorry to hear about Fyre's illness. At least you know what the problem is. What causes it? People without animals don't understand that they're your babies & are loved as much as if they were human. Actually I like animals more than I like most people. My cat Marmalade suffers with diabetes, hyperthyroidism & now failing kidneys. He could last a couple of years or a few months. Prayers go out to you & Fyre my friend that you spend many years together. Remember I was looking for a name for my new cat? Well I named her Sitiya in the Oromo language of Kenya it means "mine" since she's mine now & no longer on the streets. Wow Lynn, I didn't know dogs could get MRSA either. Prayers to Smoochie too. Well, sticky Fruddie & slobbery doggie kisses to all. Peace out!!
