Were you SHOCKED? February 09, 2005 4:44 AM

when you joined CARE2 and innocently posted on a group, what you perceived to be the truth, only to be met by the slings and arrows of those in their narrow world of complacency?  [ send green star]

When February 09, 2005 1:08 PM

I first joined Care2 and got attacked on the third day for posting the TRUTH I was suprised. Although I came back stronger with more evidence of the TRUTH, that they didn't like. They finally go the message that I could not be beat down by their frail rants. I'm still here, and some of them are gone. Yipeeeeeeee.....  [ send green star]

i´m sooooooooooooooooo used (as therapist+ as human in general)of the impact of truth!as i try to be courageous speaking out, first i expirience, highly reactings, negativ or positv, but even if some feels first liberated that one speaks it out, later the little devils of compfy lies or working process, called reactivs,...comes out+ some we did nt had tought, starts to be our friends+ some gets nasty!but,´s mostly worth to try,coz the outspoken truths, help liberating the truths in others,as it is obviously naturaly allready there, life is on his side!  [ send green star]

As a vegan and as an activist in my community I'm so used to being called names & having my beliefs and values attacked rather than questioned.

What suprised me on Care2 is the silly unimportant things people bicker about.  Those who complain about people sending cards and network messages can just uncheck the box and not get any and do it without whining about it.  Same with the photos in the albums. Why go postal when if it bothers you just empty your album and pass along the information to others so they can make their own choices.

The over all importance of this site way outweighs the inappropriate or bad stuff.

When I post something I do so to share information I have or I feel I have something worth saying.  When I join a group I do so because the topic is of interest to me.

Nobody yet has 'flamed' me or called me out.  I'm not here to fight with people and I would rather ignore you than trade insults with you.

I'm here to learn and share.

That's all I have to say.. oh and boycott Iams, Hills and Eukanuba Pet Foods and KFC because of the cruel treatment of animals and tests that they perform.

You are a special kind of TRUTH WARRIOR!!
I've seen you attacked for simple truths. Have shied away from reading the attacks on your more complicated posts. I read YUR posts...get too disgusted, too easily, by the imbicilic replies.
I don't think I thank you ofteen enough for the information you so painstakingly share.  [ send green star]
anonymous Were You Shocked? March 16, 2005 7:34 PM

Lol! Yeah, right. I have some to realize over the years that due to people's nature there are going to be tifts. And on line in groups and lists if there is a discussion about God/Religion or Government/Politics, no matter how well intentioned the posts, there shall be FLAME WARS!  [report anonymous abuse]
Maybe I'm naive... May 10, 2005 1:15 AM

I'm kind of shocked everytime someone decides not to look into things further, and decides that they're absolutely right. What really shocks me is how angry people get when you're not even exactly disagreeing with them. I admit that I have posted some things when I was reacting emotionally, and have offended thereby, but I'm willing to listen and have a dialogue about subjects. I do try to check facts, and to educate myself on the issues. I'm still fairly new to Care2, and am new to this group. I had thought that all of the topic groups were for discussion and education, but I have since been informed otherwise by several people. Very vehemently... Best Wishes, -Rick  [ send green star]

i was in one group that i THOUGHT was made up of well rounded, educated people. At first i did not reply to post, only read them. Then i saw one i actually felt i had some input on...GAD was i attacked. It seems that if somene tears apart your post it is okay, if you counter back with fact is an argument on your behalf.

Also on an anon thread someone went on and posted how they hated why read it???

They said get your head out your ass...

If some  people would spend less time attacking us and more time thinking... it would make care2 better for everyone

That was just me flaming back

Funny, I always expect to be attacked when supporting

a cause. Why??? Fear is in the eye of the attacker. It's not

how much skill you have it's how brave and persistent you

are. But, I don't stick around at a bogus party if you know

what I mean!
