Soldiers Ordered Not To Offend Radical Islamists
5 years ago

December 13, 2012 by  Frank Camp

Well, strap in for this news: a new military handbook has been issued that orders soldiers to avoid engaging in topics that would offend radical Islamists. So, if you thought that theUnited States couldn’t get any more politically correct, you were dead wrong.

According to Pamela Gellar of “The draft leaked to the newspaper offers a list of “taboo conversation topics” that soldiers should avoid, including “making derogatory comments about the Taliban,” “advocating women’s rights,” “any criticism of pedophilia,” “directing any criticism towards Afghans,” “mentioning homosexuality and homosexual conduct” or “anything related to Islam.”

In addition to this madness, the manual also claims that it is not the Taliban that is causing the rise in attacks by Afghan soldiers, but a lack of understanding on the part of the West.

I’m sorry–What? Soldiers are not allowed to criticize pedophilia and cannot advocate for women’s rights? Ok, here’s what this means in my book:

1. The Obama administration is trying desperately to appease radical Islamists. They think that by 'playing nice' with words, somehow, the terrorists will treat us in kind. They cannot be that stupid [well…], so there must be another agenda at work.

2. By publishing manuals and regulations like this, we are weakening ourselves in the eyes of the enemy. This can only result in a stronger resolve to destroy us. It is not our actions that the enemy hates, it is simply us. They hate western culture, Christians and Jews, and they will stop at nothing to eliminate the us.

3. With this manual, soldiers are being ordered to passively support abuse of women, sexual misconduct and numerous other disgusting practices of radical Islamists. Soldiers are being forced to defy basic morality for the sake of political correctness. It’s foul.

In summary:

This is the backwards logic of the deranged Left. We are fighting an enemy, but we are not allowed to hurt their feelings. This defies human reasoning, but it fits right in with the Liberal world view. They believe that it is our fault that we were attacked on 9/11; that it is our support of Israel and our actions in the Middle-East that stirred the hatred of radical Islamists. In essence, we are the provocateurs, and they are the victims. Well, you can’t provoke the Devil. Radical Islam is an evil beast, and we are feeding it. When it grows strong, it will be our fault.

What a hellish 2nd four years this is going to be...on so many levels!

Sandy, I agree so much with all of he points, but the one that hits one the strongest for me is number 2, "By publishing manuals and regulations like this, we are weakening ourselves in the eyes of the enemy.  This can only result in a stronger resolve to destroy us.  It is not our actions that the enemy hates, it is simply us.  They hate western culture, Christians and Jews, and they will stop at nothing to eliminate the U.S."  This hits it pretty well.  Why is this so difficult for liberals to understand; political correctness is not going to resolve anything, trying to be friends with someone that has no intention of being friendly in return is not going to work; they will only respect us less.  Call it like it is, they don't like us and are free to say so and treat us with disrespect, run planes into the twin towers and the pentagon, kill an additional plane load of people, and all the other things they have done and we try to appease them, feel that we should respect them and their religion.  Excuse me, what happened to "you respect our religious beliefs, you respect Judiasm and the Jews and then we will respect you and your religious beliefs.  That is the issue, it is not that we have ever disrespected their religion, it is their actions that we don't respect.  What do they or Obama and his administration miss in this; the Taliban is not their religion, abuse of women is not their religion, pediophilia is not their relition, these are the acts of Muslims and entirely separate from their religion or an organization that is separate from their religion.

If a Christian blows up an abortion clinic, it is the person and his act that is wrong, it is not Christianity.

What I would love to do, Sandy is take all the radical liberals and Obama and put them in camo and send them with their rifles and ammo into Afghanistan and let them fight for a few months and then see what they have to say.  Let them experience it from the position of a soldier, not an executive such as President of the U.S. and they will see a different Afghanistan; they will see radical Islamics much different.  As any soldier that has been there and has returned to the U.S.; they have a much different view of Islamics (Muslims) than when they left the U.S. for the Middle East the first time.

Excellent idea, Linda.    This is the liberal "group hug" around the world meanwhile terrorists are frothing at the mouth to pack on a loaded vest  to kill themselves and innocent people.

I heard this late last night and I was in total disgust and disbelief along with the other political correctness of pedophilia talk.

This is the far left progressives controlling everything, everything today from our lives to the military.  How did it all happen?   Who is going to stop it?  This is madness!

Sheila, we are going to stop it.  We need to bring our sights down and realize that if we do this by picking off one thing at a time (gun ban overturned in Illinois when he is pushing for gun ban; even his own party is becoming concerned about Obamacare and asked for the delay in the medical divice tax).  Sheila, a constant defeat of issues is going to wear thin with him and much more of a message; it happened to G. W. Bush in his second term.  That is something that traditionally is very real and where Obama failed to see reality, second terms have nver gone well for a president, never.  He had the idea it was a shoe in to get what he wanted and it normally is just the opposite.  We just need to keep our resolve and push upward.

Linda:  they are more organized than prev. administrations because the radical left progressives have had all of this lined up in their think tanks and they are pulling it all out at rapid speed.

They never had this power before ... not since Wilson and they have a far more radical leftie in office which they are taking full advantage of transforming this country.

I am not so much relaxed as you are because those 2 senators from MA are only disputing this medical device under obamacare because of the companies affected here in MA who will leave this country and they have better deals outside of USA if this goes down.

Warren and Kerry are far left radicals as bad as Obama and they are in opposition only because of the cos. here who will leave this state and this country.  they care less about obamacare as they want it all in effect.   their backs are against the wall here.  people are eyeing warren especially.  she only got in because she is a seatwarmer for the young kennedy who got barney franks' congressional seat.   after 3 terms in congress, he will ask her to move on as he wants teddie's senate for himself.... all deals made Brown was spoiling the deal.

So, "green on blue" or whatever stupid term they are using now to describe Afghans shooting/bombing/etc NATO troops is really "work place violence" then? Based on this it is justified "work place violence" since we hurt their feelings and that makes their actions "understandable". Gotta remember it is OUR fault that things aren't perfect in the world and never the poor misunderstood radicals of either a islamic or "progressive" nature. The fact that these actions have been going on for 1400 years with the alleged "religion of peace" can't be mentioned. BTW, DoD has been become so PC that it is more interested in the "progressive" agenda items of the moment than defense of the country and its interests.

If I were serving my country and this manual came out I would laugh my arse off!!!!

My answer would be - I'll show them respect - I'll yell at them and say, "Hey guys I have a big hug for you -- it should be landing at your feet in about a minute."

The general (Allen), in charge is infuriated!  As he should be.  I would love to find out the name of the person who came up with his idea.

This makes our military look like a bunch of weenies!

Wish I could send you a green star Tara Jane.  I could not agree more.  And so what were we to say about Americans being drug through the streets, beheaded, etc.?  And now you want these people to be shown respect by our soldiers?  This is a war, what part of that does Washington not understand.  There is no room for political correctness; as it is we give them the rights of the Geneva Convention when they have never signed it and do not follow it in return, is that not enough?

Fundamental Islamic Arab Terrorists (FIAT) mean not to change us but to destroy us.   It is somehow all our fault and we have brought this upon ourselves?  So our soldiers should be concerned about their feelings? Terrorists only see this huggy feely pc crap as a sign of weakness.

All we need now is Swift Boat John Kerry becoming Secretary of State.

Sandy, what do you think of who he is considering for Sec. of Defense?  Would like to hear what people think as the Jewish community in the US are not happy about him.  I believe he is a Republican Senator.

It's the liberal mindset, ladies.    The big kum bah ya moment, group hug, yes, the terrorists murdered 3,000 innocent Americans but we must forget about it and go pro terrorist.   Bizarre!!

Hard to believe he's a Republican

"Israel’s supporters over the past few days have been voicing alarm at the prospect former Sen. Chuck Hagel is likely to be tapped by President Barack Obama as the nation’s next defense secretary...

•    In August 2006, Hagel was one of only 12 Senators who refused to write the EU asking them to declare Hezbollah a terrorist organization. •    In October 2000, Hagel was one of only 4 Senators who refused to sign a Senate letter in support of Israel. •    In November 2001, Hagel was one of only 11 Senators who refused to sign a letter urging President Bush not to meet with the late Yasir Arafat until his forces ended the violence against Israel. •    In December 2005, Hagel  was one of only 27 who refused to sign a letter to President Bush to pressure the Palestinian Authority to ban terrorist groups from participating in Palestinian legislative elections. •    In June 2004, Hagel refused to sign a letter urging President Bush to highlight Iran’s nuclear program at the G-8 summit. •    And here’s what the anti-Israel group, CAIR wrote in praise of Hagel: “Potential presidential candidates for 2008, like Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Joe Biden and Newt Gingrich, were falling all over themselves to express their support for Israel. The only exception to that rule was Senator Chuck Hagel…” [Council on American-Islamic Relations, 8/28/06]

RJC also quoted a 2010 Commentary Magazine blog post detailing Hagel’s past acts that could be viewed as appeasing terrorists:

•    In 2009, “Hagel signed a letter urging Obama to open direct negotiations with Hamas…” •    In 2007 Hagel wanted to open direct, unconditional talks with Iran. (“It could create a historic new dynamic in US-Iran relations, in part forcing the Iranians to react to the possibility of better relations with the West.”] In 2007 he voted against designating the Iranian Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization.” •    In 2008, Hagel single-handedly killed an Iran sanctions bill in the waning days of the congressional session. (The bill in question was actually sponsored by then-Senator Obama!)..."

Sandy, so far Obama is zero for possibilities.  Rice is out, Kerry should be out, Hagel should be out, and not big on Powell, but he is better than Kerry and I don't think Obama has a lot of possibilities; interesting that there are not more Democrats willing to serve under him as it sure doesn't look like anyone is beating down the door to volunteer.

I can only say, it boggles the mind. Why is it minorities can be so freely racist and then use racism as a defence? When did sanity die?

I am glad Jewish law teaches to treat others as they treat you. Personally I thought that was logical behavior. Yesterday I recieved the following e-mail and at the time found it a little to racist for my taste, but.......while reading this topic, it already sounds more logical and less racial than the military's orders.

They may be unhappy in ALL the countries. The difference is that in the latter group, they can express their unhappiness without the risk of being killed by those whom they oppose.

Eli, this is certainly the way it appears and not a bad observation at all.  I would have to say that it does seem logical when you listen to them, observe them and watch what they are doing.  They are very unhappy people and holding the rest of the World accountable for their unhappiness.  I think that this is part of their historical culture.

I assume the Muslims living in Israel are happier there, too.

When the Israeli Arabs of Um El Fahem found out about a possible plan that they would be under Palestinian rule, they went crazy and rioted. The plan was shelved. So much for wanting to live in Palestine.

In a survey of Umm al-Fahm residents conducted by and published in the Israeli-Arab weekly Kul Al-Arab in July 2000, 83% of respondents opposed the idea of transferring their city to Palestinian jurisdiction.[12]

Elit:  very enlightening and thought provoking where Muslims are happy and we need to address the big question, why?  I think it is quite obvious and I hope they are able to self realize their own fate and question their belief system.  Until then, they are doomed and prisoners of their own making.  People who live blindly by doctrination always suffer because their mind knows something is off balance.

Eli, this is so surprising.  So the Israeli Arabs are not Muslim I assume.  Is this correct?  So it would stand to reason they would not want to be under an Arab nation that is under Muslim law.  It is confusing for us as we never have received real education into the Middle East, not to understand fully what is and has happened there.  I assumed all Arabs were Muslim and no I learn they are not.  That there are Christian Arabs as well.  Have any of these Arabs converted to Judiasm?

Thank you for increasing my awareness Eli and I am sorry to be so ignorant.
