GOP Senators Won't Confirm Kerry Until Hillary Testifies on Benghazi
2 years ago

Republican senators will refuse to confirm Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., as Secretary of State until the nation’s current top diplomat, Hillary Clinton, testifies about her handling of the Benghazi terrorist attack.

“The Senate is expected to take up Kerry’s nomination in early January, but multiple Republican senators have already said they won’t agree to a vote on Kerry’s nomination until Clinton testifies about the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi,” The Cable’s Josh Rogin notes.

Clinton backed out of testifying at a congressional hearing last week after fainting and suffering a concussion. She was the first cabinet-level official to acknowledge that terrorists played a role in the assault on the U.S. mission in Benghazi.

“For some time, al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb and other groups have launched attacks and kidnappings from northern Mali into neighboring countries,” Clinton said during a United Nations meeting in New York on September 26. “Now, with a larger safe haven and increased freedom to maneuver, terrorists are seeking to extend their reach and their networks in multiple directions. And they are working with other violent extremists to undermine the democratic transitions underway in North Africa, as we tragically saw in Benghazi,” (emphasis added).

A week earlier, though, Clinton was content to have people such as the father of Tyrone Woods — the former Navy Seal killed during the attack on Benghazi — believe that an anti-Islam Youtube video was the occasion for the assault, which took place on the eleventh anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

“Well, this is what Hillary did,” Mr. Woods said of his meeting with Clinton immediately following the assault. “She came over and, you know, she did the same thing, separately came over and talked with me.  I gave her a hug, shook her hand, and she did not appear to be one bit sincere at all.  She mentioned that thing about, ‘We’re going to have that person arrested and prosecuted that did the video.’ That was the first time I had even heard about anything like that.”

If this is true and it more than likely is true then I say...GO FOR IT REPUBLICANS.

Thank goodness, best news I have heard all day.  We need to be able to resolve this and get the answers.  I wish they would vote to withhold her final pay until she testifies before the Senate, actually.

Excellent.  Maybe they will succeed at twisting a little bit of truth out of the 'most transparent administration in history' (not unlike Clinton's 'most ethical administration in history').  If nothing else, they are liars with a sense of irony.

I'll give Kerry a few points if he throws Hilary under the bus. Wouldn't that be a hoot?

Who gets to drive the bus?  Volunteers?

Not likely to get any thing truthful from Shrillary nor should the "Swiftboat hero" be made Sec of State. But then it is hard to see how he can make more of a mess of foreign "policy" that Dear Leader Obama and the "smartest woman in the world" have managed to do! There biggest "successes" were "apologizing" for all the US's past "misdeeds" and driving a wedge between the US and its allies in so many areas. No one trusts he US anymore nor does anyone respect let alone fear us! We are getting a total "progressive" makeover in all areas from foreign policy, national security, border control, fiscal (ir)responsibility, incompetence at all levels, irrational and out of control regulations, more destruction of the country's moral fabric, setting group against group, political gridlock, etc from these clowns. Rather than under a bus how about under a tank?

Hillary is suffering from the Benghazi Flu!  They say it effects the memory - makes you look weak and have subsequent fainting spells.  Furthermore, it can make the "smartest woman in the world" a has- been and turns women into  plain old housewives who have philandering husbands.

Yup, she definitely has the Benghazi Flu!  LOL

Tara Jane, this is he best I can do as had already given you the official one.  This is the best and I still can't stop laughing.  Had just taken a swallow of coffee and almost sprayed it on the screen; burned all the way down in the attempt to not spray it out my nose or mouth.  This was so funny.  You are great!!!

Now Diane, it requires a special license to drive a bus, remember.  My daughter has that license so we could let her drive and we could all ride along, what do you think?

Works for me, Sister Sue!!!    Oh, me, we have to generate a few laughs to get through this fiasco in Washington DC.

(Yup, she definitely has the Benghazi Flu!  LOL)

I've also heard she suffered .. The Immaculate Concussion.

LOL, Elizabeth!   The immaculate concussion.....Hillary is hiding....and not doing a very good job of it.   Transparency at its best.

Just a quick question while I have my computer up and running - has anyone ever gotten the feeling that she was advised that if she new what was good for her, she'd "NOT" testify?

I'm not saying that this is so - and it 's not meant to be a rumor, but IS IT A POSSIBILITY?

Anything is possible with these people Jim, anything.  Hard to say as on one hand Hillary is not the type to be told what to do by anyone but on the other hand if she has irons in the fire she would be more inclined to allow that.  Oh my gosh, immaculate concussions, Benghazi flu, they seem to have a real epidemic in Washington D.C. right now so I would stay clear of there for certain.

Yes, it does require a CDL with a public passenger endorsement.  I just happen to have such a thing in my pocket!

So does my daughter, David.  She drove school bus all last year and loved it.  She is keeping her license as she can do this anywhere she lives.  She passed the written first time through and same with the driving.

It sounds like you have a talented daughter.  That isn't easy to do.  I generally don't use that endorsement much, but I do take a few road trips every year with the church munchkins.  In fact, I have one coming up next month and another in February.

In order to get that, your daughter had to pass the written test, plus an onerous vehicle inspection, and what amounts to two separate driving tests.  Kudos to her!  I don't know how I would have managed had I not grown up with the type of equipment in question.  It is extremely difficult to learn from scratch without it being part of the background clutter in your life!
