Yet Another Scandal for Harry Reid?

By Carol Platt Liebau

New questions are being asked about the ethics of Sen. Harry Reid; a Utah businessman is alleging that his state's attorneygeneral demanded $600,000 as a bribe to Reid in exchange for dismissal of a federal investigation.

Certainly the allegations could be false, but it's worth noting this isn't the first time Reid's name has come up in connection with some pretty shady propositions.  Remember the lucrative, underpriced land deal?  Or the green energy conflict? There's so much there, pithily summed up by Investors Business Daily as follows:

. . .shadowy years he ran the Nevada Gaming Commission, through his public embarrassment over the Los Angeles Times investigation into his son and son-in-law's Washington lobbying activities, the ethics investigation into the free ticketsReid happily accepted to boxing matches and the successful land development deal that ended up netting Reid $1 million when he sold it, in an amazing coincidence, to a friend and it became a shopping center.

As a general matter, it's right to wait until serious allegations are actually substantiated before repeating them.  But in the case of Harry Reid, an exception is entirely warranted.

Harry is a despicable weasel. I love that Boehner told him to go F*** himself.
Harry reminds me of a bully who throws things at people from a secure hiding place - never expecting to be on the receiving end themselves.

Harry Reid described as a "weasel" is accurate

He also seems to have the Napoleon Complex going for him....we should name him "The Weasel Whisperer."

"The Weasel Whisperer."

Elizabeth, I have thought of him as a weasel for a long time, too.  I do like that Diane, "Weasel Whisperer".  LOL

Diane, the poor ground hog you have used; that is so unfair to the ground hog to be seen as a "weasel".  LOL

Elizabeth, I had not heard that Boehner had told Reid that but bless him for doing so as it is about time someone called Reid out.

Linda,
This was after reid called Boehner a dictator on the senate floor for not signing on to the senate's Sandy releif PORK bill.
And then, when Boehner called him on it, the weasel tried to blame his statement on his script writer, who then came forward and said 'no way" , he did not write that for reid.
Weasel!!! He's a weasel all day, every day.

Elizabeth, there are some days when I am not sure who I dislike most, Biden, Reid, Pelosi, Boxer, Feinstein, Waters, Holder or any of the other White House Staff or Cabinet; Obama still holds first place for disliked people.  These are runners up.  But what Reid does not want to admit is that there was excessive Pork on that bill, excessive and it would not have gone to the people needing the help.  Boehner had no choice and thank goodness he stood up to Reid.  Decided maybe with you and Diane's agreement, we should amend it to Reid, the Repulsive Weasel Whisperer; that way we have two R's and two W's.  Seems to go together rather well if the two of you agree.

Linda,
That is the quintessential list of moonbats, alright ..Maybe we could call them the BatPack!!
reid is certainly repulsive. reid, the repulsive weasel whisperer works for me.

He's creepy.   So is Pelosi....and especially David Axelrod.....creepy.

Linda: I'm more ecumenical, I detest all of the ones you named. They range from radical ideologues through ignorant incompetent dwarfs to out right crooks. Most fall into all categories and should be termed out right losers. When it comes to dwarfs Reid is right there. Maybe we should add Reid as one to the Seven Dwarfs to make Eight Dwarfs and his name would be Sleazy.

I refer to Pelosi as "Nancy Scissorhands Pelosi"  LOL....she gets those hands going and nothing can stop them.   Lately, she is really showing her age by forgetting in midstream what she is trying to say.    What one should say to her is "oh, never mind, Nancy, it's all going to be bull s*** anyway."

Now John, I think that you are on to something here.  Elizabeth and Diane, what do you think? Obumbler and the White House Dwarfs?  That sounds rather interesting.  If so, the contest is on to name the Dwarfs.  Reid, Pelosi, Axelrod, Boxer, Feinstein, Waters, Holder, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Michelle Obama, Jill Biden, Geinter, Napolitano, Salazar, Vilsack, Blank, Sollis, Lew, Sebelius, Donovan, LaHood, Chu, Duncan, Shinseki, Jackson, Zients, Kirk, Rice, Krueger, DeParle, Mastromonaco, Rouse, Jarrett, Plouffe and Carney.  The list is not limited to these so add any others you wish.

Linda: Here's some: for Axelrod it would be Slimy, for LaHood it would be Hoodie, for Michell maybe Big Mommie, Geitner sort of lends himself to Shifty, Shelia Jackson Lee to Clueless. Not sure if there is anything for Bubba that would be used in polite company.

Still working on this but you do have a good start and I would concur with these except Michelle, I think there are a few better but will let you know.

LaHood would be a speed bump if I had my way about it.
