To All Our Mothers

A Mother's Love
There are times when only a Mother's love
Can understand our tears,
Can soothe our disappoints
And calm all of our fears.
There are times when only a Mother's love
Can share the joy we feel
When something we've dreamed about
Quite suddenly is real.
There are times when only a Mother's faith
Can help us on life's way
And inspire in us the confidence
We need from day to day.
For a Mother's heart and a Mother's faith
And a Mother's steadfast love
Were fashioned by the Angels
And sent from God above.

To each of you angels sent from God above, may you have the warmest and happiest of Mother's Day.

And Grandma's too...
While we honor all our mothers
with words of love and praise.
While we tell about their goodness
and their kind and loving ways.
We should also think of Grandma,
she's a mother too, you see....
For she mothered my dear mother
as my mother mothers me.

And we certainly cannot forget he Grandmothers, as some of us are that as well.  So a double Happy Mother's Day to all our Grandmotehrs.

What a beautiful Mother's Day (and Grandmothers) message, Linda.    Some of us have lost our Moms and we know what a huge void that is in our lives.

I just opened one of my Mother's Day cards and it said:

If I had to pick one favorite thing about you....I wouldn't know where to start."   This is precisely how you get your mother to cry LOL!

Thank you, Linda!

And with that message the tears would flow.  I understand the void; it has been 26 years since I last was able to hug my mother and share Mother's Day with her; the void is something that can never be replaced except with the most special of all, the incredible memories and when I close my eyes, her voice.  To those that have lost their mothers, as so many of you PD people have, just fill the void with the memories and know that your mother still loves you, as I know mine still loves me.  Who we are today is a reflection of that love and the hours she spent guiding our lives from our first cry.
