But you, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the Book until the time of the end. [Then] many shall run to and fro and search anxiously [through the Book], and knowledge [of God's purposes as revealed by His prophets] shall be increased and become great.
You may think the larger, global picture is too complex to know exactly where to aim your prayers, money, etc. Nations are in difficulty but for some a daily “life and death” battle dwarfs things like inconveniences or poor national leadership. Add to the most basic struggle a severe condition for Christians in Egypt, Syria, Iran, Sudan and Burma, Iraq, Pakistan, and Indonesia—nations where countless believers are scattered about in refugee situations.
We care deeply for fellow believers in areas where personal liberty to worship is threatened; where persecution of Christians is well known protest is scarcely voiced to bring attention to serious, even deadly, conditions in multiplied national trouble spots . . . internationally, they are often simply ignored. Such is the mentality of the times.
Still, from an end-time perspective, God’s plan trumps everything. Anti-Christ strategies, the spirit “already at work” among men, will not succeed in its world take-over mission. God, who will see to that demise, oversees His Church with victory for the individual who believes and trusts the Lord to accomplish His plan—in His time.
In the meantime keep it simple—God is Omnipotent and His Spirit is at work in you to will, and do, of His GOOD pleasure.” The Lord leads. Discern His leading. Guard your heart and words. Always focus on God’s Word. And pray . . . men ought always to pray and not faint.
