This isn't a poetry book, it's an account of Australian history. The reason I've put on here is because it's written by a friend of mine, Bruce Elder, a travel and entertainment journalist with the Sydney Morning Herald.
Blood On The Wattle begins in 1788 and through the years of Aboriginal massacre. It makes for good reading tho' perhaps bloodlusty. Published by New Holland.

"Blood on the Wattle draws together, in a single volume, most of the information about the massacres of Aboriginal people which has been recorded in books and journals. It also creates a broad-based level of awareness of the scale of the massacres of Aboriginal people so that this dimension of Australian history can become part of the Australian consciousness."
