Old-Growth Near Crater Lake National Park Targeted for Logging

The "Bybee" timber sale Environmental Assessment is now out for public comment.

Please take a moment to ask the Forest Service to protect, rather than log, wild forests in the Upper Rogue Watershed.

For nearly a decade the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest has worked with communities and stakeholders to thin previously logged plantations and young stands suffering from fire suppression.

That focus has been extremely successful. Now the Forest is poised to shift gears and return to the bad old days of ancient forest logging and massive road construction in the remote wildlands adjacent to the western boundary of Crater Lake National Park.

Please send a quick note to the Forest Service indicating that you value the forests of the Upper Rogue Watershed and want to see them protected.
