Stop Canned Hunting in South Africa
Call for South Africa’s government to forbid the hunting of lions in captivity.
Southern Africa is a paradise for hunters: Thousands of hunting tourists from Europe and the USA travel to the region - they bring home dead animals instead of photos as souvenirs.

Ban Wolf Hunting to all European Countries
Wolves are very social and loving animals, with great feelings about their family and pack. They look a lot like humans and have never been an actual threat to us. Please sign this pepition to give them a chance live in harmony with humans without being killed unstoppably. They deserve to run wild and free forever.

Tell Supermarket Chain: Don't Sell Reindeer Meat for Christmas
Lidl Stiftung & Co. KG, a German supermarket chain with over 10,000 locations in Europe, is planning to sell £7.99 Siberian reindeer steaks for the Christmas season. Worse, the animals used for their meat are young calves who are herded by helicopter or snowmobiles, lassoed, and dragged onto trucks for slaughter. Siberian reindeer would naturally live to 15 years.

Tell SeaWorld putting profit above animal welfare won't earn your support or patronage.
According to the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society, SeaWorld holds the vast majority of the world's captive orca whales which appear in shows. These performances are the current cornerstone of SeaWorld's entertainment model.
SeaWorld's exploitative practices cannot be allowed to continue.

Restrict Hunting of Endangered Mountain Lion
By signing this petition, you are asking South Dakota’s Game, Fish & Parks Commission to revise its population estimation techniques. Methods used for population estimates should be scientifically proven and should focus on the survival of natural species, not on the wishes of hunters. Demand that the 2012-2013 winter mountain lion hunting season be suspended until a more accurate estimate of the current population size can be determined.
Lisa P. Jackson: Put Lions on the Endangered Species List
Over the past 22 years there has been a very significant drop in the lion population, as a matter of fact their numbers have dropped about 48-50%, in the 1980s about 150,00-200,00 lions exsisted but during a recent census they found that only about 40,000 lions exsist in the wild today.

Save Sumatran Tigers from Extinction
41,045 signatures sent to Didy Wurjanto, head of Balai Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam, on 11/18/10. Please continue to support this important cause by signing if you haven't already. Thank you!
Indonesia's Sumatran tiger could be the first large predator to become extinct this century, unless poaching for body parts and illegal logging in the area are stopped. Today, the total population of Sumatran tigers left in the wild is estimated to be fewer than 400
Urge the Balai Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam (Nature Conservancy Agency) to implement laws to ban trade of tiger parts and to stop widespread logging of their habitat by multinational paper companies.

Applaud NBC for Pulling Show Glorifying Slaughter of Endangered Animals
By signing this petition, you are thanking NBC Sports Network for arriving at the right decision regarding “Under Wild Skies,” a show which was good for nothing besides the glorification of slaughter, and especially heinous when the animals in question are endangered. You are calling on them to review their internal standards so as to exclude from their programming such shows which promote unsustainable and inhumane agendas.
Convict Poachers Who Poisoned Over 100 Elephants
If elephant poaching is not stopped, it is estimated that they will be extinct within ten years. Only three of the eight poachers implementing cyanide-laced salt have been caught and sentenced thus far. The remaining five have not yet been found. Demand that these poachers be caught and sentenced for killing over one hundred elephants.
Promote Cruelty-Free Circuses
Abusive acts have no place in wholesome family entertainment. Sign the petition and urge Mr. O’Donnell to ban cruel animal acts from Circus World.
Thank City Council for Banning Use of Wild Animals for Entertainment
By signing this petition, you are congratulating the West Hollywood City Council on their continued success in the fight for animal rights. You are thanking them for continuing to make animal issues visible to the people who have an opportunity to make a change and to end animal cruelty. You are applauding them for not bowing to the entertainment industry and its often abusive expectations.
After being detained for two weeks, 28 Greenpeace activists, a freelance photographer and a freelance videographer have been charged with piracy in Russian Courts. The charge carries with it a maximum sentence of 15 years in a Russian prison.
The Arctic 30 peacefully protested on an off-shore oil platform owned by Russian oil giant Gazprom. When they arrived, the Russian Coast Guard fired warning shots and threatened the activists' lives. Then, Russian Coast Guard officers illegally boarded and seized the Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise via helicopter.
Peaceful activism is vital when governments fail to respond to catastrophic climate change, and this disproportionate response is purely to intimidate people who stand up to companies and countries that are causing global warming.
Please join our activists in becoming an Arctic Defender. Sign our petition to Russia’s US ambassador demanding Russia release the activists, the immediate withdrawal of the Russian Coast Guard from the Greenpeace ship, and an end to offshore oil drilling in the Arctic for good.
Commend Authorities for Arresting Notorious Chimpanzee Abuser
Authorities in Florida recently arrested James “Mike” Casey after catching him trying to get rid of three chimpanzees at a roadside zoo. According to eyewitness testimony and USDA records, the chimpanzees had been punched, kicked, beaten, and scalded with boiling water. With a long history of animal abuse, Casey’s arrest by the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission is deserving of commendation.
Florida authorities have transferred the animals to the Suncoast Primate Sanctuary in Palm Harbor, Florida. Commend the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for arresting this animal abuser.
Call for a Nationwide Ban on Keeping Monkeys as Pets
Sign the below petition to urge the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which controls national pet law standards, to implement a federal ban outlawing pet monkey ownership. Such a ban would prevent dangerous monkey attacks that result from confinement by humans, and allow monkeys to thrive in their natural habitats. Primates belong in the wild and humans should not rob them of their safety or freedom.
Commend Countries and Conservation Groups Efforts to Stop Illegal Poaching of Elephants
Applaud the nations and conservation groups involved in this major effort to protect elephants. The demand for ivory is booming, and elephants need our help more than ever. Sign this petition and show your support.

Applaud West Hollywood For Banning Fur Sales
The fur ban comes shortly after the city’s ban on live animals in entertainment. They have also abolished the retail sale of cats and dogs in pet stores, as well as pushed for more humane treatment of egg-laying hens in California. These, combined with West Hollywood being the first city to ban de-clawing of animals, mean that the city is well en route to reaching their goal of being the “humane capital of the nation.” Your signature will thank the West Hollywood City Council for upholding an excellent record of kindness and respect towards animals.
Commend Prince William for Conservation Efforts
Commend Prince William for his contribution and taking a stand against the illegal trafficking trade. His efforts will no doubt be significant and help citizens around the world appreciate the wildlife around them.
Thank Zoo For Surrenduring Big Cats to Sanctuary
Large endangered cats should not be captive in zoo displays. Each animal has a fundamental right to life, liberty, and comfort. Your signature will thank the Montevideo Zoo for their compassion in relinquishing their cats to qualified caregivers.
Protect baby tigers, lions and other wild animals
Baby tigers, lions, and other wild animals are frequently used by unscrupulous exhibitors for public handling, typically until they are just a few months old. The animals are then often discarded, with many ending up warehoused at roadside zoos and pseudo-sanctuaries or in the hands of unqualified people with private menageries.

Save the Marbled Cat
The marbled cat (Pardofelis marmorata) is a small wild cat of South and Southeast Asia. Since 2002 it has been listed as vulnerable by IUCN as it occurs at low densities, and its total effective population size is suspected to be fewer than 10,000 mature individuals, with no single population numbering more than 1,000.
Call to Action
What is CRITICAL now is for all of us who care about these poor cubs to show USDA that the vast majority of Americans want this abuse stopped, and USDA should not listen to the greedy, selfish few who abuse these tiny cubs to make money.
These young animals are torn from their mothers at birth, physically punished to make them more docile, deprived of sleep, kept on display when sick, and, if they survive, stuck in tiny cages to languish for the rest of their lives once they are too big to pet.
We need to hugely outnumber the bad guys’ comments to win a victory for the cubs! PLEASE take just a minute to stand up for these helpless cubs by clicking the link below to let USDA know that you support their proposed rule to stop this abuse. Thank you!!
Note that the USDA site will only accept U.S. addresses.
