Hello, and thank you Lisa for the invitation....I really enjoy a good mystery. I'm looking forward to meeting folks, and seeing how this group unfolds. Trinity

Hello & thank you for starting this site. It's terrific. I was thinking of starting a bookish-club myself but couldn't really find a focus other than a love of mysteries. Right now I'm on a Reginald Hill kick. Anybody read him? Just finished 'On Beulah Height' & 'Dialogues of the Dead' - whew! Great reads both. Thanks again & I look forward to chatting w/you all.

Hi! I'm new to this group but I LOVE Mystery novels so I figure this is a good place to be. I go through as many as 5 books a week so I"m always looking for new authors!
I'm a full time student and so my reading fluctuates with my schedule, but I've found there's nothing like a good mystery novel to unwind with after a hard day of studying!
I've been waiting for someone else to write something. I wrote to myself for a long time but finally gave up! I'm only a co-host, but I've been continuing reading. Sorry I hadn't checked sooner, I've been caught up in a family emergency.
Read any good books lately? Want to share?

Hopefully this group will kick back up. I'd like to find out what mystery books people would recommend for someone like me who don't read much but do love a good mystery.
I just noticed that for some reason, all my recent entries were put in the archives. I don't know who did that, so that's why it looks like no one has done anything for awhile. ![]()
If you look in some of the archives, you'll find some interesting sites for online mysteries. Some of my favorites are:
For a good two minute mystery: www.sd22.bc.ca/silverstar/writing/mysteries/mysteries.html
The Who Dunnit Mystery Site www.who-dunnit.com/authors
I enjoyed starting with Agatha Christie. She has such a wonderful style that keeps me going until the end of her books. I just finished reading "The Thirteen Problems" which is a short mystery in each chapter of the book where a group of people are trying to solve each one.
I hope some of this helped you a bit to get started. Happy reading!
By the way: May 22nd was Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's birthday! ![]()
