got to Virginia over the weekend and met my new granddaughter. I have to get pics developed as my crappy dig camera decided not to work.

Everyone I am so happy and excited. Another girl. I had three boys. I love my grandson Cody dearly, but he is PaPa's boy and my granddaughter is attached to my hip when we are there now I have another little girl to buy the dresses and hair pretties (as my granddaughter Natasha calls them)

spending the whole week at camp. I came home today to check in, do the laundry, and pay bills. I will probably be home on Wednesday to do more laundry and will check in then. I got layed off Friday and figured this a good time to spend some extra time with my 16 year old(he would probably rather I didn't).

...for not being around this past little bit. I've been spending time outside (Dr's orders) walking around the apartment complex. His orders were simple--"use it or lose it." I'm also having to limit my time online typing, because it hurts my hands and they turn red and swell.My sister ended up using braces when she typed, but if it's either Rheumatoid Arthritis or the Diabetic Neuropathy (the latest theory!) we shall see...???

I'll try to be here this weekend.

Bette Jo: You have a good time. I sure hope you don't get stuck in a long trial. I did, over something silly--but we couldn't reach a decision. The judge said that we HAD to come to a decision because he didn't want to waste more time on the case. There was a lot of pressure on those people. Weird experience.

I have a super long day at work today so I may not get back on until Sunday as we leave for camping tonite. I have to stay home longer than we usually do because I have to call in to my County Court House tonite. I am on stand by for Jury duty for next week and I won't  know anything until I call tonite after 5:30.

I have the same problem with my older two. If it is sports they read it. My youngest son is 16 and he reads some but not as much as I would like him too............

Ya'll have fun Bette Jo!  I love camping!!!

I'm flying to Texas tomorrow.  A very invovled trip.  Go to bus stop.  Wait for bus.  Ride bus for 2 hours 45 min to Airport.  Check the bags, wait through security (resist the urge to would the stupid people who refuse to follow directions and slow us all up), find my gate and wait for 2 more hours for my flight all the time sending up prayers that the plane gets in on time and takes off on time and that the weather is kind to us while we're in the air.  Finally get boarded on the plane (which takes at least 30 minutes because people bring too much crap).  Up Up and Away we go for the 3.5 hour flight to DFW.  Upon landing at DFW, gotta hope that you can get to your gate.  Finally get to the gate...another 30 min for the slowpokes to grab their life's possessions and move off the plane.  RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE to the bathroom because I hate using the toilet on the plane.  Get to the baggage claime....wait....wait....wait some more...ahhh, finally there's my bag.

Okie doke...go find my ride (Dad).  Wonder yet again why he is never able to find a parking space in the front row 1 hour parking so we dont' have to drag my bags upstairs.  Make him give me the keys to drive (he makes me nervous - he says I'm a control freak - we could both be right).  ZZZZZZZOOOOOOOOM to Dad's house.  ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!  Gotta stop at Sonic.  Cannot return to Texas without a Route 44 strawberry limeade.  Tip the chick and off we go again.  toooooling down the road...30 minutes later we arrive at our destination.

If you calculated all that...it's about a 12 hour day.  Thank GOD for books!!!

I will be gone for the weekend, until Monday. We are usually gone weekends during the summer(sometimes I pop home for something and hop on the PC). We have a seasonal campsite. We have not gone yet this year because of my grandson Cody's sickness. He is now on the mend and we need this break.

Melani and Karen are here to keep things going.
