Here's one that's new to me, where you can actually learn new stitches watching short video clips for knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch, etc.  They have free patterns too.  Enjoy!

'zines for funky, fresh patterns is http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsummer05/index.html   There's always something in every issue that I must seriously at least attempt to make.

http://lionbrandyarn.com/ also has a wide selection o' free crochet and knitting patterns.  Of course they are made with their yarn in mind, but you can easily make your own substitution.
