A BRIDGE CALLED LOVE May 16, 2005 4:07 AM

A Bridge Called Love

It takes us back to brighter years,
to happier sunlit days
and to precious moments
that will be with us always.
And these fond recollections
are treasured in the heart
to bring us always close to those
from whom we had to part.

There is a bridge of memories
from earth to Heaven above...
It keeps our dear ones near us

It's the bridge that we call love.

 That is a beautiful poem.  Thank you for sharing it.

    This is one of my favorites....

       I AM NOT THERE

    Do not stand at my grave and weep;
    I am not there. I do not sleep.
    I am a thousand winds that blow.
    I am the diamond glints on snow.
    I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
    I am the gentle autumn's rain.
    When you awaken in the morning's hush,
    I am the swift uplifting rush
    of quiet birds in circled flight.
    I am the soft stars that shine at night.
    Do not stand at my grave and cry;
    I am not there, I did not die.

    Various sources attribute this poem to the one of the following authors:
            (A) Mary Frye
            ( Joyce Fossen
            (C) An unknown member of the Hobi Native American Tribe

Thank you for this lovely posting. I have always enjoyed reading, "I am not There". It is a real comfort & promise with both postings that they might not be here physically but spiritually they always are.  peace & blessings---ginger  [ send green star]
