Quote that struck me speechless today... August 26, 2005 11:10 AM

Our life is made by the death of others---Leonardo Da Vinci

Wow August 26, 2005 6:01 PM

And it is so true!  I see my life as two completely different lifes, the one before and the one after.  In some ways they are the same but in so many more ways they are totally, totally, totally different.   [ send green star]
I agree Karen, it surely changed mine... August 26, 2005 6:15 PM

I agree Karen, it surely changed mine...and left such an imprint on me significantly. Even I am amazed at how much it centered me and my core of beliefs and lack of belief at the time from where I was prior to the event itself. It is different for me as night and day in many respects. peace---ginger  [ send green star]
Yes, Ginger... August 27, 2005 2:07 PM

Leonardo was definitely right!  As far as I am concerned, Tony's death had the strongest impact on me...  Not only it changed my life's situation entirely, but it even modified the way I now react to events, religion, and people, to some extent.  Last year I was entertaining at home, laughing, joking, or simply enjoying Tony's company while just watching TV..  Without him, I don't socialize much and I am usually sad.  I am a different person and the only thing which makes me thankful for is our little support group, here at Care2!  Thanks for your help.

We love you right back, Guiliana... August 28, 2005 3:28 AM

We love you right back, Guiliana...Has anybody else ever noticed the connection with others we come into contact with that is immediate, that have had a serious loss in their lives too? I certainly have. There is nothing quite like it. It is as if you can see into them and understand their sorrow and perhaps read their souls. Not in a bad way either, just an unspoken shared experience that reaches across boundaries that existed before our experiences. It has happened to me on several different occasions at the public library setting where I work and always with wonderful, tender, conversations ensuing. Guiliana, my sadness went deepr into me eventually to make me do something about it for others and I think that you have started reaching out by joining our little group and reaching out to touch other souls for a real recovery that will last our lifetimes. I feel blessed to have met you all, as always, with great affection & warmth and blessings from beyond upon all. Peace--- ginger  [ send green star]
amazing September 02, 2005 10:29 PM

firstly, i wanna say u guys are awesome- you have all helped me to understand im not alone in grief- however lonely we all may feel we need to see that there are others standing there tall and proud saying our last farewells.... but something i heard somewhere (i feel) sums it up for me... "its not a goodbye, its never a goodbye. its a see you when i get there"

because life isnt this. its a journey. its a place we learn, live, laugh  and die in, and we are here for the greatest reason of all. to love one another. now people of the world dont always see eye to eye, but when there is a tradgedy there is always people on the sidelines trying to help and chip in.

i just want to say that i'm proud to be a member of this group- cos we are all here helping each other.

God Bless,

Sam from Aus
