What signs did they bless you with? November 07, 2005 4:42 PM
What signs did they bless you with? Our departed loved ones most definitely send signs to us down here on planet earth. Do you recall them? Share them with us if you are so inclined.
The signs I have been left with are in the form of butterflies and most recently a black kitten with a white diamond on his neck, arrived to comfort my husband and I on my niece's birthday. We never saw that cat again and I had been told by a friend of mine that my sign would arrive in the form of an animal. Needless to say, I have been blessed and am grateful for each and every one. blessings be---ginger
Well, the sign my mother sends me is unmistakable and it always happens at home! We shared the same apt. for years, until I got married. I moved back in when I divorced and I've been living there ever since, after Mom's passing and marrying my beloved Tony.
I eventually bought the place and had it entirely renovated. Sometimes Mom visits me in my dreams, but whenever she wants to show support/concern/love, I can smell her cigarettes... Yes, same tobacco she liked and smoked all her life! The smell is usually strongest in the living room...
Thank you Guiliana...I am glad she leaves you signs. Nothing like a mother's touch is there my friend? For some it is perfume but I think your mom distinctively knew this sign would leave more of an impression on you, her daughter to let you know that her presence was around. Sometimes I wish that I cold have bottled the smell of some people so that I could carry it around in my memory jar for life. Thank you for sharing my friend. Those signs give us hope too don't they?with love, light & peace---ginger

Teresa, my Samhain/Day of the Dead altar also holds tobacco, (and food and pictures, and candy, and trinkets!) for me, the tobacco is not only for the various ancestors that smoked, but also a sacred herb, one that, as incense does, carries prayers on the smoke.
one of our decorations is a haunted looking tree that sits on the tabletop and has a motion sensor that when activated moves the branches and says "happy halloween". put in fresh batteries this year, and yesterday, (which was Jenny's birthday) I was sitting alone, far away from the tree, just sitting and reading...when the tree came to action and moved and yelled out its "happy halloween"! no kitties, no dogs, no movement at all, to set the thing off. obviously, my sweet and humorous sister thought I needed a wee jump in my day!
That's very interesting, girls! November 09, 2005 2:25 PM
I don't know if I'm supposed to tell you this, because I'm afraid it might stop... You are good friends, though, and I think Tony doesn't mind...
Yes, there are times when I do feel his presence, and he gave me many signs when he first passed on... In any event, I still talk to him and, in case I feel discouraged, or particularly lonely, a strange phenomenon takes place: I happen to find, at home, in the strangest places, either a US dime, or a 10 Euro c. They may be in my pocket... in front of his photo... on the kitchen table... They're ALWAYS very real, and NOT part of my imagination... Whether Tony materializes them or I'm just "directed" where they are, I don't know.... I can only experience it!
