A Special Ritual/Prayer? December 06, 2005 2:04 PM

Now that Christmas is approaching, I'm wondering whether anybody has a special prayer or a ritual for their deceased loved ones?  Let's share, please.

I basically acknowledge my niece every morning via her picture and I always pray in gratitude for the time we were allowed her on earth and I pray the same way for my cousin, Cindy who  passed on young and I do the same for her three living sons(who by the way, also lost their father here recently and he was only in his forties)and for the grandmother who has been raising them ever since my cousin passed on. I light candles online or in the home whenever I feel the heaviest moments or sit in silence. Sometimes silence can be the most graitifying spiritual moments one lives/journey's through. What brings you some peace or perhaps a moment of respite my friend? ---ginger  [ send green star]

I LOVE candles and I use them a lot!  Every day I have one lit for my parents and one for Tony.  I guess at Christmas, I'll just get some decorative ones which will meake them special.

Two things bring me some solace: music and cats!  I like easy listening and classic...  They're both relaxing.  Or else, I play with my cats!  Sayed is actually too lazy and fat to do it often, but Joe is much younger and VERY, VERY active!  So funnny, sometimes...  I throw a ball at him, he catches it and throws it back!  He's half way between a basketball and a baseball player!!
