I am sad today July 26, 2006 12:31 PM

I am sad today. Even though my husband and I had split under bad circumstances we were fortunate enough and had the courage to acknowledge our wrongs with each other and he went in peace with himself and I feel peace about our relationship and our love.

Tomorrow, July 27th, marks the second anniversary of his death.

I now remember all the good times that we had and I am at peace.

I still miss him and always will - he was such a big part of my life for such a long time (over 35 years) and even though we had some pretty bad times we also had some wonderful times.

Always remember the good times and healing will come with that.

TAKE THE TIME TO READ

Just some beautiful - practical thoughts that were on my computer today:

Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.

Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

Remember the three R's:
Respect for self;
Respect for others;
Responsibility for all your actions.

A loving atmosphere in your home is so important. Do all you can to create a tranquil harmonious home.

Remember that the best relationship is one where your love for each other is greater than your need for each other.

Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.

Today's Affirmation
I am the master of my life. I am not afraid to live.

I have the courage to enjoy life, even if I can't always comprehend it.  I have the courage to act even if I am afraid.

"No love, no friendship can cross the path of
our destiny without leaving some mark on it
forever" ~Francois Muriac

"When you love someone, put their name in a
circle, not in a heart; because hearts can be
broken but circles go on forever." ~Submitted

Judianne, it is okay to be sad today... July 26, 2006 1:07 PM

Judianne, it is okay to be sad today...I am sad too myself on these special days even though I am one hundred percent for sure that my niece was not at peace with me when she left this earth. You have that at least my friend and for that I feel you are blessed. Although I am aware that she has come to peace and acceptance of her Aunt Ginger as only human now that she walks in the other world of Heaven. For that much I can be grateful. Sending much love your way today.---ginger  [ send green star]

Remembrance July 26, 2006 10:17 PM

"A person never dies as long as someone remembers..."  a great quote I heard on a radio show one time.  Even after thirteen years, Laurel's birth and death dates are painful and sad.  It is okay and normal to feel that way.  Remember the good times often and let the bad times go with as little remembrance as possible.  Take care, and may you find peace where you can.....  [ send green star]

Today is the day we remember July 27, 2006 7:47 AM

Tim, thank you for that lovely quote. I shall remember it as I get through today with my children.

Ginger, I feel confident that your niece knew you loved and cared for her and that she walks in peace.

It is best to always "remember the good times". Dwelling on the bad can cause you more pain and suffering than you will ever know.
