I hope this can give others some light at the end of the tunnel to know that your grief will get better.  It will take awhile.  It took me 2 and half to 3 years to finally come to terms with my mom's death.  But what helped me was this poem I wrote. This is for all the survivors of lost loved ones.

One of life's hardest things to deal

Is the death of a real close loved one.

Like your mothers

Or your lover

Death of a Mother is one of the hardest to bare

She wasn't just my mom

But my best friend.

She was more than a Mom but like a sister,

Someone to talk to

Cry with

To hold you when you are hurt

Inside your heart

Or when you fall down or get sick.

Yur grieve till you think you'll die

Of the lost love never to be there

No more to hold or talk

To laugh or cry

But her spirit is always with you

till the day you die.

death is one of the hardest things for life to deal

But with love from friends and family

You'll live your life with the happy memories

When she was there with you true

And the grief gets easier to deal with .

I will always miss my mother

But always will remember the love and joy

she shared with us all.
