Apparition?

An apparition is a "visible spirit". Have you ever seen any? When and where"? I have. Marilyn

Hello Marilyn, where did you and when did you see an apparation?

Marie

Marilyn: Don't get me started because I've seen many. The first was when I was 28 years old and sitting in my living room. A man appeared as a true flesh & blood person. He looked over to the TV, which I was watching, smiled and walked over & sat down next to me. I took a good look at his face and drew a likeness of the man I saw. Never saw him again. Then about 2 years later I saw the face of my deceased Uncle on my wall. When the phone rang 20 minutes later I knew someone was calling to let me know that my Aunt had died (my deceased Uncle's Wife). It was my Mother telling me my Aunt died. I have more apparitions to talk about & I will do that in my next posting. Lots of Hugs, Bernadette

Apparations

Hi Bernadette & Marie,

I have always had psychic abilities. I have many examples but the last one is the one I will tell you about. My husband was very ill. At this time he was home and in bed at the time. I was in the room and for some reason the door was closed. As I casually walked by the door I reached out and opened and standing there was an Opaque Figure of a man that I recognozed immediately and shut the door. My husband asked me why I did that and I tried to make a joke of it but I answered truthfully. I said it is some guy. (He knew that I would on occassion see an apparition). I laughed trying to make light of it and I said he came to the wrong house but it is the Angel of Death and we both laughed. MY husband passed away soon after.

Apparitions......

Hi Marilyn & Marie, I've heard of the angel of death and do know there's something but I think it's someone who knows us, is familiar with us, our routine and basically our friend. Now, whether this Angel, Spirit Friend, Guardian Angel, a relative who passed on or God, it gets the message across to us. In my experience we have God or someone that's appointed to let us know when things are about to happen that will change our lives. I was told over & over again that my Beloved Son was going to pass on about a year and a half before it actually happened. I still say and will always acknowledge that wonderful spirit who tried and succeeded getting through to me, which made the ordeal bearable. I try to thank them every day, this particular angel spirit I knew from the past. Because this spirit talked to me before when I was younger but I was too afraid & did not listen. I will listen from now on even though I am afraid. Lots of Love, Bernadette

I saw one once - maybe twice.  The most recent was about 15 years ago.  I woke up in the middle of the night and a very heavy figure in a hospital gown shuffled through the wall and tried to make it's way to the opposite wall.  I was frozen in place in my bed.  But I could speak.  My husband woke up and got up to go to the bathroom.  I yelled out to him, "Whatever you do, don't touch it because it's so weary and some of that will rub off on you. Then you'll get weary, too."  He kept saying, "What the hell are you talking about?"  I thought he could see it, too.  I knew things about it without knowing how I knew.  I knew that this was someone who had just lost a major battle, probably with cancer, in one of our local hospitals.  It had suffered at the end of it's life - a great deal.  It was shuffling, trying to walk again.  It had somewhere it needed to go. It HAD to get there.  Eventually it disappeared through the opposite wall.  It was outlined in this weird green light.

When I was little, I used to see a little boy in a blue plaid shirt out of the corner of my eye all the time.  I don't know if that was just me with an overactive imagination or if it was real. He was always moving fast.  I remember seeing him under a chair once. That could have been my imagination.  I don't know.

Angelica, I know exactly what you're talking about. When these figures appear they are true to life and not ghost like at all. Like you knew he had a hospital gown on. I've seen many apparitions in my life and I have seen and heard my most recently departed Son. It wasn't scary but I always wish I could've seen more of him. Right before his totally unexpected death from natural causes we had a talk. He told me if he could come back he would send a message through the TV. Eight days after his death he left a message when I had the TV on but was not interested in it and just laying there. He said "Mom, don't worry about me, I'm ok, and Mom, I want you to know that I appreciate you and I love you" I couldn't believe my ears because that's exactly what he told me he would do. I could say that the man you saw was someone you know but it doesn't have to be. The first time I really saw a figure of a man who was in my house and sat beside me on the sofa, I did not know. At least I didn't think I did, but you never know. Maybe the man you saw was trying to send you a message or a relative who's looking out for you. Lots of Hugs, Bernadette

It took some years, but I did figure out what that was all about.

I was very curious about where it was trying to go.  It just HAD to get there.  It was wearing those paper slippers they give you in the hospital.  It was having a hard time walking and I felt that it had been in a wheel chair during the last years of it's life.  I was never sure if it was a man or a woman.

Some years later, I lost a student to a horrible and debilitating disease.   This little girl really suffered.  I felt so bad for her.  I came home from work and prayed that I could know if she was all right now, where ever she was. I fell asleep and I got what I prayed for.  I dreamed that I was standing across a street from her.  She was shuffling up to this building with a huge yellow door. She was wearing a hospital gown and those paper slippers.  She had been in a wheel chair during the last years of her life. I knew once she opened that door and walked in, I would never be able to talk to her again.  I screamed and screamed her name, but I couldn't cross the street and I couldn't make my voice be heard.  She slowly, with great effort, opened the door and I heard the clinking of glasses (people drinking), the sound of sliverware hitting plates (people eating), and some cigarette smoke wafted out.  I knew that this was a rest stop on the way to the final destination.  This sounds weird, but it was a place where you could simply be yourself and rest until some of your energy returned.  If you liked drinking, you could have a drink.  If you liked smoking, nobody cared if you smoked. I think there was music and dancing, too.  There was lots of conversation - the kind you hear in a crowded restaurant.  I was surprised that such a laid back place would be in the after life.  Anyway, she walked in and the door closed and she never heard me or saw me across the street.  But she made it that far, and I knew she would make it farther.

Now, I don't have any idea if such a place really exists in the after life.  I just thought it was some way of getting a message to me that she was okay and would gradually get better.  I like to think that there is a rest stop for those made weary by the pain of their own demise - an open-minded place like that which would accept everyone and everything about them.

I think it's wonderful that your son was able to get a message to you.  That must give you a great deal of comfort now.  He must have been very strong to be able to come back like that.

I am the only one in my immediate family that has not seen an apparition.

One of my sisters said that when I was a baby there was a dark shadowy spirit coming towards me and so she grabbed me and ran out of the room.

Once in my teens, my mom and stepdad saw the spirit of his late father. My mom was sleeping in the living room that night because the air was better (she has respiratory issues). At the same time my stepdad and mom woke up. They didn't know why and decided to investigate. They eventually realized that the gas stove was on. And that's when they saw the spirit of his father. They think that he was trying to warn them.

My family lived in a mobile home park for about a year when I was 5 or 6. They said that it was haunted though I don't recall ever seeing anything. There was one time when my sister and I heard someone in the kitchen. In the morning we went into the kitchen and there was a cup with ice in it. We asked who got up in the middle of the night and left the cup on the counter. My parents said they didn't know what we were talking about and that they hadn't gotten up.

I sometimes thought that my grandparents' house was haunted. When I was in the garage I would hear voices. Sometimes I would think it was just people passing by on the street outside except that that street was usually deserted and it was a pretty quiet neighborhood.

Apparitions

Latoya, it's true that there are spirits from our loved ones who act as guides and try to warn us of trouble. I have had apparitions of not only loved ones who have passed but also had an apparition of someone I did not know. At least I can not remember whether I knew them or not. Once I saw an apparition of my Uncle, who had passed. Just his face appeared to me on my living room wall. I thought that maybe he was trying to tell me that my Aunt (his wife) just died. About 20 minutes after the apparition my Mother called me. I said, "Oh, you probably want to tell me Aunt Ruth died." She was shocked that I knew for she did indeed die that very minute my Uncle's face appeared on my wall. Most apparitions are there to help & guide us. However, not all spirits are kind ones. Take care, Lots of Hugs, Bernadette

Yesterday my dog really wanted to go outside. I decided to let her in the back yard/side of the house even though it was very early in the morning before sunrise. I opened the gate and put her out but when I turned around to go back inside, I saw an apparition. It was the spirit of a man. He was a few feet in front of me. I turned around, opened the gate, grabbed my dog, and when I turned back towards where the apparition was, he was gone. I don't know if he was a spirit or a culpa (being created out of mind or strong fear/belief).

I don't like being outside by myself at night because of a dream I had many years ago. In the dream it was night and I was in a hotel. I was alone and had a suite many floors up. I looked out the window to people watch in the windows of the hotel across the street. But then I saw into one hotel room over there. There was a man and he looked as if he had just done something really bad or that he was really bad. We locked eyes and somehow he knew that I knew who he really was or what he had done. I had to look away from him because I didn't like him looking at me. And somehow I knew that he was going to come over to the hotel I was in to try to hurt me. Ever since then I can't look out a window at night because I expect to see a dangerous man standing outside and looking in at me. There was just something about those eyes.

I do know that it wasn't the same guy I saw yesterday since I would have been more scared. I was just surprised.

Latoya, that is a very interesting story about the apparition of a man. Lots of times we recognize who it is but in your case you apparently did not. It could've been a man who once lived in your house or just a spirit guide who is always there with you but you never see. About 38 years ago I was sitting in my living room (the same one I have today). I was watching TV and passing in front of me was a (see-through) man who was watching TV too as he passed in front of me. I was shocked but kept watching him as he walked around my coffee table. He was smiling at the TV as people were clowning around on it. I watched as this spirit man sat right down very close to me. I studied every part of his face and he opened his lips as if to speak to me but he didn't. I drew a picture of the man on a large white drawing board. I prayed that I would find out who he was and the next day I did. As I was walking down the street & slipped on a card I noticed the front of it had a picture. The picture was the man that appeared to me and it was Saint John Neumann. I thumb tacked the card of St. John Neumann next to the one I drew & they both looked like the same man. I may have not recognized him due to the time. It was a few hours before sunrise so it was still pretty dark. My instincts were just to think, "I'm outside alone in the middle of the night and a man is approaching me!" I knew he was a spirit, but still.

I do have an uncle that died last year.

Now though, I think it may have been a memory imprint. I've been having a lot of those lately. Mainly, I've been seeing replays of my dog, the one I was taking outside. Several times now I have seen her walk by or see her in the room but then I blink and she is gone. The same thing has happened with my sister regarding Cha-Cha. She's said that she could have sworn she saw her in the room and was surprised to find out that she wasn't.

It's good that yours turned out to be a saint!

Latoya, Did you have the apparition of this man at all before your Uncle died? This is how you know if it's your Uncle or not. Even if it was an hour or so after your Uncle died, that would show you that the apparition was him. Don't be so quick to dismiss it as something else. I was like that too until I did a lot of thinking back and realize that almost half of my apparitions were trying to contact me and tell me something important (life changing). Pay attention to......flashes of pictures (in you vision) and round luminous orbs that move. That is a spirit coming through. Have you had any???? Flashes of pictures (someone trying to show you something)? Let me know because if you ever get the feeling that something don't feel right, it's because it's spirits. Most of all, don't be afraid because they want to tell you something.......pay attention (even though you may hate what they're trying to say). Lots of Love, Bernadette
