I can't tell you how good it felt to find a way I could take action and help make a difference in regards to helping pets find homes.  I took the advice of a gal who posted an idea here -- Lavitha -- and posted flyers around town of dogs up for adoption at some local shelters.

It took a little bit of time (not much) to copy images of the dogs from the shelter's sites and transfer the info on each dog onto a Word document next to the dog's pic -- but it's something I can do when I don't have a Muttshack in my yard for one of them!

I carry a staple-gun, tape, pins and flyers.  Sometimes when I've had flyers left over, I'll just put some in mailboxes rather than toss them out.

(Is that illegal?)    I'm gonna stay anonymous on this one HA HA.

I believe the law is that you are not allowed to open a person's mailbox, but what you can do is to leave the flyer on the outside -- like between the pull-up lever (to alert mailman to mail going out) and the box.  If the box doesn't have that, there isn't a way to leave a flyer without it blowing away.
