im over 7 years homeless
too many disablites fro shelter
too poor fro section 8
and more i have bee told
even in the disabled communites divide and conquer has worked.
now vet funds instead of creating new in san fran replaced city/hud funds
and an in accessble program for addicts salvation army in teh most dangerous part of town.
the funds help with teh worship center and pay for community center
adn
net result is No new help?
another scam
obama bond act results in zero new help fro increasing homless.
does this mean HUD WILL AGAIN adjust the definition of homeless to make it appear
there are less? instead of the ahrd work to make real programs that help
salvation army had a 80% failure rate over 5 years.
no one will help me with clear violations but housing authorities bring it all to the public
or mitigate.
so i can succeed,.
after year + again i will get partial voucher back and no hope to make it work.
could have had housing and voc reahb but the berkely voc reahb office violated delayed did t do accomdations more.
everyone whines the sytem is failing
but
none will help or document or really repair the system failures the damage and terrible harm
to/for any individual.
when the advocates practice th same failing politcs how does democray and civil rights have HOPE?
HOW CAN THERE BE REAL CHANGE?
HOW CAN WE BE HEARD WHEN NONE IS really LISTENING?
I do not live in Berkeley, so I do not know what assitance is availble to you specifally...
While we are about the same age, you could reference "eldercare" for assitance. I have found help thru "eldercare" in Texas. These are small non-profits.
I won't debate Obama, nor other political events here. Not in this group. The homeless group, that Harmony ownes - listed on the front page of this group is full of great information.
It is my hope you will be able to seek the help you truly need. As I also do not know all your disabilities.
