This is just one of those things that if you are interested; it is a mapping site that will show where members are located at in the world. Note: it does require you to enter an email address, so far I have seen and no problems or spam from this site and it is getting popular with some members and groups here on Care2. I thought I would also offer to the members of this group.
If anyone finds out any problems or spaming from this site let me know, and I will take steps to protect members that have signed up.

WARNING: A very catching virus has spread all over Care2!
I see it have reached this group too .
Okay, okay, I'm kidding. I've had no problems with spam from there (so far)and get only frrap updates then someone signs up to my map of Pandute Friends. (but one may easily to unsubscribe from that) The only thing that bothers me is that these maps and everything you put onto your pin(location, pic, and comment) is accessible to everyone who opens the page. It makes me feel uncomfortable somehow because I wanted my own map and info to be private(just for me and my friends) and then I put my pin on my friends' maps I believe they ARE friends whom i can trust.
As I TRUST the host of this wonderful group as well I was the first one to pin myself to Ethnobotany map !
I put my town's name in first and the computer knew it was in Scotland. Then I tried Glasgow which is the nearest actual city. But each time it just says it's invalid.

You're so lucky! Maybe try Cambuslang! I love it there, the whole country really. At least what I saw of it. Hope you can find yourself! Rage

ahhh, if you read the directions (which I never do, but read this when someone else in another group was having troubles) somewhere it says what you have to do for European countries. Or something like that!

I often go through Cambuslang on the road to Glasgow by bus! That's amazing, what a small world!!!! What did you like about Cambuslang? I live in Cambusnethan, Wishaw. Cambus means 'on the bend of the river'.
I didn't know there were any instructions beyond clicking to say you were non-US but I will give it another try. I received a nice message from Theodore which was very nice.
