Silky, Rita's garbage rat made. it April 28, 2006 11:12 AM

Silky, is doing just great, thanks for the advise. He is eating on his own and becoming a most cuddley baby. He loves to ride on my neck when I clean house. He comes when I call and can't wait to be picked up. We keep him on the coffey table and where the action is. He is fearless, so far. Has anyone else raised a wild rat? Maggie is going to check one out for me. Can anyone tell me how to delete my previouse topics? Thanks Rita S  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
Wild rats as pets April 28, 2006 11:52 AM

He will not be as tame as the domestic rats you have kept. My pet rat got loose once and was impregnated by a wild rat. The babies were all really skittish even though they had been handled all the time since they were young. Their ears moved a lot more and their coats were not the same.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
