anonymous try it without shouting at us April 02, 2007 7:44 AM

I understand people get excited. But there are those of us for whom overstimulating messages present a problem. Many different colors of fonts aren't necessary. All Capital letters aren't necessary. Use the minimum of bold print. If you can get your point across with one message about your subject, that's great. Think: is it necessary to come back 2 or more times to reiterate a point? And stay away from large print, which is a real distraction. Net user tips from one of your friendly neighborhood hosts.  [report anonymous abuse]  [ accepted]

Gee I use Bold sometimes. So that's not a crime I don't think. I go back and check out my posts to to see if anyone has noticed them. That's not a crime either. Every member has a different way of expressing themselves.

anonymous it's not selective personal opinion April 03, 2007 7:07 PM

in reading messages on Care 2 I find that I have problems reading them when they are in different colored fonts, different sizes, all caps. i understand that others may not share this disability but it has to do with media stimulation and graphics.   i think there's at least 1 other person on the list who i felt made comments in a way that was too hard for me to read and suggested the need to tone it down. it's not that people aren't welcome but if someone's message triggers you then it's necessary to speak up.

Ok guys, Pete and Kenyatta - am I also allowed to know my cardinal sin?  I would be 1) enlightened 2) not puzzled about what I could have done to offend Kenyatta. This is what I posted in another group where Pete seems to insinuate that there is something behind all of this?

Oh, well since I don't know what Kenyatta knows why don't you just come out and tell us, Pete?  What is all this cloak and dagger stuff?  I am truly in the dark here - and you can say anything concerning me in front of anyone since I am who I say I am and what I am - sorry, just saw this and am just....amazed & puzzled.

BTW - the size of my font is related to ease of reading it - for me and many people who have trouble reading those very small fonts.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
