Hello everyone! I just joined today. We have 2 children. A boy 10 yrs old and a girl 6 months old. Our son is homeschooled. We believe very much in attachment parenting. Our daughter was born at home, a peaceful water birth. Looking forward to meeting you all.
Hello, everyone. We're doing pretty good here. Violet is weaning herself from nursing She is getting so big so fast. She's wearing panties and going in the potty by herself, talking all the time . . . It's amazing to watch her growing from a baby into a child.
Well, I got a full-time job in October...so I've been tied up with that lately... BUT Eoin turned 2...is still nursing strong...and has learned _so_ many signs, we are just in awe. He is a late talker....and gets MAD when we don't understand what he wants/needs. We got the first set of the Signing Times dvd's...they are awesome. We just got the second set (4-6) and are busy learning all those signs now too.
and my husband is home with the kids and WANTS to stay with them! I feel so sad about missing so many things while I'm at work, but it is so awesome that Dad is the one to be there for those times!!
We are back to homeschooling our oldest, who is 9. He tried ps for a few months...it wasn't a terrible experience, but it sure wasn't worthwhile, ya know? We're still trying to sort things out with that--he isn't a terribly motivated kiddo, but is so dang smart it is frightening.
I'm trying to work only 4 days a week to make more time for family and kiddos.. I miss them!
We weaned DD about a month or so ago... got her to 2 1/2 years so I'm very happy with that, though I think she misses it.. we have made sure to have some great cuddle time and she's finding that that's helping fill that nursing void of 'special time with Mom'...
We've got a lot of plans for Spring and Summer so could get very busy soon... but no more pregnancies... we're done in that department. LOL..
Gave DS a mohawk yesterday.. we'll see what the reaction at school is.. ahh youth.. LOL
Nothing new but just saying hi. Christine is 4 years old and loves to practice the piano. She also loves her ballet lessons.

Hi everyone! Im new to this group... April 23, 2005 1:17 AM
Im Patty from KY...I breastfed 2 of my daughters...also had two natural childbirths. That was 26 years ago. Natural is the way to go. I loved breastfeeding and co-sleeping my 3 daughters...One of my daughters was not breastfed, however. My 3 daughters are age 32,28 and 26. They have grown into fine adults and mothers. It was worth it all..Carrie S is my youngest daughter, she was breastfed and following in my footsteps.
