Get those thinking caps on people!    I thought it would be so cool to have an on going poem where everyone could add on to it.   You can add on as much as you want and as many times as you wish. Just keep it going. I think it will be interesting to see how this works out. The poem should be about love and peace.   Any takers???

Love and peace what they mean to me

Love is the greatest gift of all

Peace is something we all sould strive to acheive

Put them together and there is nothing we can not be

For Love is a gift

which is truly Divine

Of natural beauty

from within it shines

Given freely without gain

Love is wonderous not causing pain

Shared within a favorable place

Watching smiles light up lovers face

Glances from each shared by two

Knowing their love is forever true.

And from this magnificent gift

a place of calm spirit will rest

Peace, a quality borne

a gentle heart and soul is home

Love and peace work hand in hand

to make this world a better land

A smile, a hug, and kiss do bring

Such warmth in sunshine's voice do sing

for the many wonderful things it will bring

Knowing calm and peace make my heart sing

Freedom found will appear

When we no longer have war to fear

Songs sung far and wide will be heard

Spreading the word

No more blood need be spilled

Love is like a red, red rose

Peace is such a wonderful pose

Contentedness is what both bring

Lets join the thong of this dearth thing

So love and peace become the choice

To all this is the wondrous voice

So let there be the toll of bells

And many of the earth do yell

That love and peace do reign at last

No longer is there need for fast

Let the flow of love become the way

For it to be the wish to stay

And peace is now preferred release

So all the wars at last do cease

Let not one more bullet be shot to harm

Stop cries of pain that ring through the air

Toss guns aside to hold out hands

Make a friend and have a care

War and Hate is more then just guns and bombs

It stems from within us all minescule atoms

Anger and frustration hatred and rage

All blending together turing the page

Creating a wrathful unreasonable fear

That one is alone no one is near

Fear that our love and worth has disolved

Afraid our sins may not be absolved

Seen as simply human and then

We try as we may to begin but again.

Life as it be needs love to be complete

Like a plant needs water to grow

Love is what we all need.....to live.

Each flake of snow, crystalline

in its descent onto this,

our scarred land, does melt

and smooth the pain

of war burnt into forgotten Gaia.

Where is the love

which once Man did show

to Her who nourished and nourishes still

his undeserving soul?

For love comes in many forms, love of another, our children, our planet Mother, our sun Father.

Without love there is no true life, just existence.

With love doors open to places only dreamt of in fairy tales.

With Love there is life, true living, true peace.

Love can be redundant as well

and so its ring is that of a familiar bell

Are we doomed to always be
the mere pawns of destiny?
Condemned to repeat over and over again
the same mistakes to the bitter end - are we?
Acting as pawns to our own desires
at the risk of living a life oh most dire
we risk much pain, much dejection
and not merely coming from rejection.
For even in love and passion
one can feel, somehow, depression

Ah but to love so deep, so pure

as though we live a dream

Can be a splended thing it seems

To capture a joy to have, to hold

But to capture thus dragon's heart of wanting

Then hold it steady within such arms

Pure magic as hearts wanting is released

Soft sighs made.......ah love's mystic touch

And when that moment time stands still

to love and be loved is every man's will

But perfect bliss holds not steady

Love in density of earths air fairs too heavy

(jeez, you can tell I'm going through a divorce LMAO!)

On wing's of doves on lofty air

Love's lighter self takes flight,

wafts over couples - no help needed there -

and seeks Peace until the night.

For Peace remains somewhat hidden,

waits and watches Earth's actions,

coming forth only when bidden.

And here is found the attraction

of Love to said goddess:

her rareness of appearance, so special is,

that, when found, Love is indeed blessed.

In wings of gentle peace

Such love does stir a soul

Found in arms of life

Gift of stillness and sight

Behold this passion is here

Where shadows of yesterday are stored

Tomorrow waits to enter at will

Today at thou footsteps must be

Where peace and love can be

Such a life we could have you see

Where no pain and suffering can seige

Still as I do watch and wait

To bond together as one and bring balance to our world

to find joy in all of life, to give thanks for all we have
